Northern lights by boat in Iceland
The Northern Lights By Boat in Iceland Cruise was amazing. I was worried about being out on a boat due to my seasickness, but the ride was so smooth it didn’t feel that we were even moving. The Northern Lights are never guaranteed, but we were blessed with a calm, clear but cold evening and the lights were beautiful and brilliant. Not only were we blessed with the NL, but also with the erupting volcano and the Imagine Peace Tower (a memorial to John Lennon by his widow Yoko Ono) shining brightly. The crew takes wonderful care of you, very pleasant and warm overalls available if cold, rainy or windy on hand.

Appreciation for VJERAN (the best tour guide)
VJERAN has been an amazing tour guide, bringing us to all the picturesque places around Iceland and purposely taking time out to bring us to extra places that was not included. And these places were AMAZING 🤩. the scenery was great and it fit well in the itinerary. I am very VERY pleased with his service and he didnt feel like a stranger to me but more as a friend. We need more people like him to be tour guides to bring the best experiences to tourists. He accommodated us very well and gave us ample time to check out the different attractions around Iceland. Love that fella. Hi VJERAN, if you’re reading this, i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏🏼 we are glad to have you as our tour guide! love from singapore 🇸🇬

Amazing experience - bucket list item checked off!
Our northern lights tour was everything I could have hoped for. This has been on my bucket list for so long and we really got lucky that the weather worked in our favor. Our guide Mikos was really fun and so committed to making sure we saw the lights. We had a truly remarkable experience of seeing the lights just barely starting to form, all the way to basically exploding overhead. My biggest tip would be to make sure you have a good understanding of how to take long exposure photos on your phone before you go- you don’t want to be asking trying to figure this out on the spot or you will miss it. Also either have touch sensitive gloves or have your phone set up to allow easy access to photo app so you are able to stay warm.

Such a unique experience. The staff is friendly. They provide the needed equipment for safety and comfort. You can rent hiking boots from them if you don’t have some.

Unbelievable, an amazing experience with a great and knowledgeable driver and photographer that made everything so worth it. Being able to download the photos of a professional photographer a huge bonus.

          disappointing as a winter activity
so the day was -14 with wind chill, had to get changed outside in the elements, very difficult with freezing extremities to put the gear on, the staff did help but we were so cold we could not enjoy the experience. the walk and wait to enter the water was long.......the actual water itself was warmer than outside so we did not feel this whilst snorkelling although the suit leaked a bit so kept getting cold flushes up my arms (totally wet arm clothing) and down my neck. the actual Silfra was cool to see but the photos we got were awful, close ups so could have been anywhere, blurred so could have been anyone, quite disappointed as not going to get the chance to do this again and after the photos ive seen on here tehy were not good at all. the walk back from the Silfra to the carpark was even longer than the original walk as you have to walk the length of the Silfra on top....... again -14 so by the time we got to get changed our suits were actually frozen solid so could not get them off!, pulled chunks of my hair out whilst helping me remove the hood part of the dry suit and it froze with icicles. I know this should have been a cool experience but better to do this in summer months as I found it quite painful and mostly uncomfortable at this time of year.

Francesco was a 5 Star Guide
Me and my wife had a great time snorkeling with Francesco. We showed up about 15 minutes late due to horrible driving conditions, but he took the time to get us dressed up quickly and fit us into the schedule. I'm so glad he did. He made for a fantastic and memorable experience, and we had an awesome time. Thank you so much, Francesco, for doing this for us! Can't wait to come back and visit again!

Once in a lifetime experience in -6C temperatures
Our guide Fede was amazing, always checking in with us and making sure we were ok. The fissure itself is stunningly beautiful and peaceful. 100% must-see when in Iceland. My only concern is getting us to strip down to thermals and socks to get dressed into dry suit outside in the snow/ice whilst it’s -6C was pretty traumatic. Particularly when we then had to sit around for 15min waiting for the backlog of groups to go through for our turn. I have never been that cold in my life and my fingertips/toes still ache/tingle days later. Having a basic structure to get changed in, and wait if necessary, would make this a 5-star experience.

Stunning Aurora on a crisp night with excellent forecast
Our guide was amazing and pumped up the vibes despite the -14C temperature. Hot cocoa was much needed. Aurora was beautiful. However, I did think they would take us further out of the city during the 4hrs to avoid the light pollution. We had 3 photos taken: a nice one, a silly one, an extra one. But only 2 were posted, and the silly one was the only one with a nice Aurora. I would suggest posting all photos taken and let the guests choose if they like them or not rather than deleting and not posting photos that the guest knows were taken. If we had known some were deleted, we would have had more photos taken. I liked that they don’t proceed with the tour if it looks like the lights won’t be seen at all.

Beautiful landscapes tainted by a bad guide
Landscapes are awesome, but experience was impacted by driver/guide aggressive driving and unkindness. Felt very unsafe on the car with her, we got to drive from the geysers to the volcano crater with the bus door not fully closed - it even fully opened on the road (regardless of us complaining about it). And, when we got to the volcano she tried to persuade us not to go see it. Her name was Anastasia and due to her the experience on our honey moon was not as good as it should have been. I recommend being careful upon getting in her car.

Great guide through a breathtaking experience
We were on our honey moon trip and happy to find such an amazing guide at one of our most expected activities. Fede was great - so mindful of the whole group’s experience and safety always checking how everyone was doing, leading the way and registering our experience in the most kind way.

Really enjoyed snorkelling once in a lifetime experience. Really helpful and friendly guides. Only one complaint getting changed outside in the cold was Baltic. Some changing facilities would make it 5 star

          Top tour with Isamar
What a fantastic experience, even in the freezing cold was good fun. Our guide, Isamar really made the experience extra special, she was super upbeat, knowledgeable and really made the whole trip. The whole set up is really well managed with great instructions. Don’t bother taking your phone it’s unnecessary and even in a waterproof cover impossible to use with the types of gloves you have to wear and anyway the team take a bunch of photos at the start, during and at the end of the tour. The snorkelling itself is fun, the water is crystal clear and although not tons of marine life to see the whole experience was really good fun. Would definitely recommend especially if you can get on a tour with Isamar.

Our tour guide Pascale made sure that my solo trip to Iceland was a grand success. She planned trip properly as she is very Knowledgeable. We didn't have any glitches and even helped others one the way sometimes which was super fun. She always made sure the group was enjoying and gave us lot of information about Iceland and it's people's lifestyle. We even got to visit some extra surprise places as the timings were managed properly.
I was sitting in the front seat and i felt super safe with her driving. Thsi tour exceeded my expectations as we even got to see the northern lights in the best way because of taking Pascales advice. I can definetly recommend this tour to any one solo/couples/family with elders, children. Overall a lifetime experience for me.

The 5 day tour is actually broken into a 2 day tour and a 3 day tour. Overall the trip was magical for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A big part of what made it amazing was our guide Vjeran. The trip highlights Iceland in all its glory and you cover all the major things across the west and south coast of Iceland.

We did a lot of research around different operators in Iceland, and after a lot of time spent going through reviews went with Arctic; and we were not disappointed. The trip was very smoothly planned and while there was inclement weather, our guide Vjeran moved things around and made sure we still covered everything.

It is often said in the service industry; that it’s not the product but the employees who make the product spectacular; and in this case the saying holds true; Vjeran made our trip successful and spectacular.

Big thanks to Arctic to make our trip special, and an even bigger thanks to Vjeran to make it special and spectacular !! We are going back with a lifetime’s worth of memories, and all thanks to Vjeran, Arctic and Iceland.

An amazing collection of sights in a whirlwind tour of western and southern Iceland. You could easily spend 5 weeks exploring the same areas, as there seemed to be something gorgeous around every corner. Given that it's only 5 days, however, you have to expect that you won't be able to luxuriate in the beauty at every stop. Especially when you only have 5 or 6 hours of daylight to squeeze everything in each day!

With that in mind, our skilled and charming guide, Ronan, did a great job at maximizing our experiences. He was efficient with getting us to as many sights as possible, and gave great advice as how best to appreciate them within our limited time. There was clearly a lot more that he wanted to show us but didn't have the opportunity. Nonetheless, he managed to squeeze in a few extra little stops that made our tour even more special. A good guide makes all the difference, and I'm glad that we had Ronan.

Also keep in mind that the winter weather in Iceland can be unpredictable. The first day of the tour and half of the second had to be significantly altered due to the road conditions, so we missed out on some of the sights. The company (and Ronan) scrambled to put together other activities for us. You can't blame them for the weather, so just be prepared if things change.

Words cannot even describe how memorable this trip was, it was such an incredible experience. Our trip was 2 different tours combined into one. Our tour guide Mitch was our driver/guide for both tours, we had 5 people only on the bus for 2 days and then a total of 12 for the other 3 days.

The trip was amazing, Mitch would change up the plan slightly if the weather was bad and he would be always looking to add extra sights ( not on the itinerary) along the way. He seriously made this trip so much better than I ever dreamed it to be. He was always concerned for our safety, but also helping us to have the best experience in Iceland. We saw and experienced far more than we expected. he gave us all the background info on each site, factual and the folktales.

The time allocated to each sight was excellent. The hotels were very nice. Mitch was flexible and never once did he insist we needed to be back at the bus at a particular time to get to the next destination. I felt very relaxed and absolutely loved the various sights. Each day I thought we would be seeing just more of the same, but how wrong was I. Iceland is an amazing country with so many diverse and beautiful places to see and experience.

We have been raving about this tour since arriving home, and a few friends are already booking for next year after seeing our photos. I hate bus tours however this was so much different and well worth it. I highly recommend this tour. I can't thank you enough.

Well organised 5 day tour (2 +3) great guide (Nick), comfortable mini coach, regular comfort stops, good hotels. Unfortunately 'The Storm' curtailed latter 2 days - white out and blocked roads - but 'work arounds' and alternative indoor venues provided. Would love to go in summer and would use Artic Adventures.

Dear mikee50, Thanks a lot for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to know you had a great time with us. It's a pity the weather conditions were not in your favor this time. The tour exceeded my expectations. It was packed with activities and clipped along at a steady pace. Arctic Adventures ensures its customers can see as much of Iceland as possible. Aron, our tour guide, is a native of Iceland and a licensed glacier guide. His expertise and love of his country colored our experience. He also tailored information to match our interests. I was interested in Icelandic folktales about the incredible land formations experienced on our trip and he made sure to tell stories about specific sites that included old Icelandic stories about ogres, hidden people, and other supernatural Icelandic characters.

Tour of a life time. My favorite part was the hike on Vatnajokull glacier. It was adventurous given it was windy and wet that day. The 5 day tour coverd south and western parts of iceland quite well and the tour guide Adolf was simply amazing!

The whole experience with Arctic Adventures made our first trip to Iceland an incredible experience!

First of all, our guide Gunnar should be retained by the company at all costs! He was all things: tour guide, chauffeur (even when winds were high), knowledgeable (regarding not only where to go, but when, so as to miss peak crowds), and he felt like an old friend even though we just met.

Your company takes all the stress out of traveling and sightseeing in a different country. We saw so much more and could sit back and relax knowing navigation, food, lodging, transportation, etc. was already taken care of. I couldn’t possibly do justice explaining the beauty and grandeur of the places we saw. I guess travelers to Iceland will just have to see it themselves. And if you’re going to see them, do yourself a favor and use this company. Hopefully, if you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet my new pal, Gunnar!

Despite quite adverse weather and road conditions, had a great trip (2+3 days, although some of it got cancelled). Amazing Vjeran (our tourguide) safely got us through all snowstorms. Our leisure was his pleasure (his motto, he also serving as our selfie-stick). But also amazing how the back office rebooked hotels and meals while we were on the road that were closed...
Too bad we missed out on the Northern Lights and the Ice Cave (the one we visited has collapsed several months before), but still enjoyed the landscape and everything.

Dear EmaFle, Thank you so much for your feedback! We are really glad you enjoyed the tour. We are sorry to hear you had to miss out on northern lights and the ice cave. Unpredictable weather is something Iceland is, sadly, known for. A special thank you for mentioning and complimenting our amazing guide. We are sure Vjeran will be very happy to read your review. Looking forward to your next visit. Let's explore more of Iceland together! Warm wishes from Iceland.

Words cannot even describe how memorable this trip was. Our trip was 2 different tours combined into one, so we had two different guides. We did the west coast & south tour with Katla Ice Cave on the last day. We cannot praise our tour guides enough, Kacper and Hilmar. They were knowledgeable, friendly, ensured we all stayed safe, and were easy to talk to. They gave us all the background info on each site, factual and the folktales. They made sure we had an amazing trip, and honestly they added to our trip! It wouldn’t have been the same without them and we would definitely book this tour again. Both went above and beyond for our group. We had just the perfect amount of time at each location, enough to awe at the scenery + take photos. The hotels we stayed at were so quaint. The Arctic Adventure hotel was my favorite - little cabins in the south coast with no light pollution & the most peaceful location. We got to see the northern lights 3 out of our 4 nights. So many sights were packed into each day without us feeling like we missed anything. 1000% recommend! Thank you so much Hilmar + Kacper, y’all gave us memories for a lifetime!
