About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mdk530 contributionsAmazing northern lights tour!We did a private northern lights tour. Just a few miles from Reykjavik the sky erupted into dazzling display of colors, lines exploding into full sky. We were stunned! Highly recommended!Written September 18, 2024
- mdk530 contributionsUnforgettable Ice Cave!We spent a full day with Biggy on this tour, highlighted by an unforgettable experience in the ice cave. Bring waterproof clothes! At 71 we were challenged with the glacier hike but the Holy Man guide led us safely. Awesome!Written September 18, 2024
- Daydream059968734240 contributionsAmazing day trip for the familyAmazing day out. We visited some amazing sights and drove places not accessible by bus or car off road. Our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable and made the day fun as well as informative. It is certainly an experience my family and I will never forget. Next visit we will definitely book another trip.Written April 29, 2024
- Docmm0 contributionsAmaaaazing day trip.It was an amazing all day trip to the ice cave with stops at various waterfalls that were just stunning to view. You could get close to the waterfalls and see the rain bows weather permitting . The majesty of w later falls was almost mystical. We then saw the second largest glacier ( can’t remember the name ) and managed to climb up part of it .. what an experience . Seeing the ice caves was just beautiful. A very worthwhile trip if you can skate a day. ., our guide Yingui was just wonderful ..Written March 24, 2024
- wendyhL7692EL0 contributionsA wow experience, nature at her bestSuch a great trip, jeep was handled well and the driver had fun with the conditions which was great. The highlight was Katla. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The views were simply WOW. Such a great photographic opportunity too. The cave was astounding, the light, refraction, layers truly beautiful. Nature at her best perhaps. The trip is suitable for all fitness levels I would say, certainly it isn't strenuous. An unexpected highlight (bringing out my inner child) was the slide down. You had the option of walking too. Vik was a short stop for lunch. The venue, micro brewery is worth dining at. Admittedly there was limited time at other locations on the south coast however the focus which was Katla was superb and I would not have wanted the balance to be different. We were collected from Hotel Rangá at Hella which saved quite a drive from the start point in Reykjavik. Highly recommended.Written March 14, 2024
- garybutton19660 contributionsUtterly brilliant tourEverything about this tour was superb, in particular our guide Nick. He was extremely knowledgeable, informative and fun. He really made our day. We were picked up on time and we shortly joined by another couple who were really nice and a pleasure to spend the day with. Then off we headed around the Golden Circle, stopping at various beautiful places including stunning waterfalls, a geyser, a drive to the top to see a glacier and last, but by no means least, the place of the earliest parliament in the world.Written March 11, 2024
- VanessaR2820 contributionsSuper Jeep was great! We had such a great time! The tour was wonderful and although it was freezing we saw the lights! I cant remember our drivers name but he was wonderful and very personable.Written March 7, 2024
- RobBarbN0 contributionsThank you Tomas and SuperjeepAurora didn't show herself on our first trip but we were offered a second trip free of charge on our last night, so this was our only chance of seeing her. Our guide Tomas was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He drove 40 minutes out of Reykjavik to the edge of a fjord - and this was where we saw the Northern Lights! They were incredible. Thank you Tomas.Written March 3, 2024
- rileysT9460MH0 contributionsA little expensive but worth every pennyBy far the best tour we did while in Iceland. We were skeptical at first about paying so much for a tour but it was so worth it to have a private tour and not be on a bus full of people. Our driver Nick Penn was a great person and very informative. He drove us around the south coast pointing out different sights and would stop to take pictures of us or stop on the side of the road so we could pet some horses. He even stopped at a hotdog stand on the way back because he knew we wanted to try the famous Icelandic hotdog. Overall the tour was amazing going to the Katla ice caves was the best part of our trip. I would recommend it to anyone.Written March 2, 2024
- Seaside119452113100 contributionsNorthern LightsI had a great time. I am a photography as a hobbyist and was lucky to be paired with Tomas. He is an excellent photographer and was really helpful with ideas to get my best shots of the lights. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer (not his call) but I got great views tonight and the best I got on this trip. Thank you so much!Written March 2, 2024
- RobBarbN0 contributionsIncredible experience and beautiful landscapesThoroughly recommend this amazing tour. A big thank you to Erik our Guide/Driver who was extremely knowledgable and kept us entertained throughout. We had so much fun when he took us off-road driving over the bumpy, snowy and icy terrain but felt safe throughout with his expert driving. We would highly recommend this Superjeep tour - this was just a fantastic day! Thank you Erik and Superjeep for an incredible experience - from the Newman family.Written March 1, 2024
- joshuawY8660TT0 contributionsExcellent customer serviceGosi provided excellent customer service helping us with our booking. Very impressed with how fair and professional the company is. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. 11/10Written February 28, 2024
- susanewright20190 contributionsTour duration extended to enable us to see the Northern lights- we were delighted.Tour was advertised 8pm pick up-12 midnight drop off but all the drivers stayed out to enable us to see the Northern lights which appeared at around 1140pm. A wonderful experience . Nick our driver was excellent.Written February 20, 2024
- shapiror0 contributionsDeeply disappointing and not worth the moneyI appreciate that the enjoyment of a tour such as this one is dependent upon seeing the lights but in my opinion the tour is far too long (4 hours) and far too expensive (circa £500 for 3 people). Most of the time was spent driving from spot to spot in a loud and uncomfortable jeep or waiting outside in the cold. Whilst retries are offered (ours was cancelled) the chances are people would not want to spend another 4 hours on the same tour. The hot chocolate tasted like flavoured water and 4 hours is a long time to spend without water or toilet breaks. You are better off asking an experienced driver to take you to a given location for less than half the price or doing the boat tour (at least you get a boat ride). For those who do not get to see the lights in my opinion a partial refund should be offered. It is unlikely that people will make a further trip to Iceland for the sole purpose of getting their money’s worth.Written February 18, 2024
- Patsyw8610 contributionsDisappointing experienceUnfortunately we weren't luckily enough to see any Northern lights on our trip. And the following night was cancelled because of the poor forecast so we never got to see them. This was really disappointing as we had spent so much money on this trip. We were so disappointed. The worst thing was that 3 large adults were squeezed into the back of a small jeep. My partner and I had to sit twisted side ways for several hours and both experienced back ache since as a result.Written February 11, 2024

Nick was our guide for this one. The knowledge and information that he gave us was absolutely fabulous, you could tell he loved the scenery and climate as his interest of the landscape shone through. My husband has a terminal illness with limited mobility and Nick did everything he possibly could to make sure we saw as much of the sights as possible. He was on hand to help Darren in and out of the jeep and also helped with the wheelchair when the conditions were difficult to push it. He adjusted the tour to make sure we had the best possible experience as we were unable to walk to some of the sights. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.
Thank you, Nick, for helping us tick off our bucket list. 😃
Would definitely recommend this company, the people that they employ to take you out on the expeditions are helpful and knowledgeable - all round a brilliant experience for us - thank you.

Nick took us on a tour of the Golden Circle. A perfect day visiting a glacier, several amazing waterfalls and geologic plates, among other sites. He took his time and explained everything we saw. Highly recommended!

If you are lucky enough to visit Reykjavík, We highly recommend the Superjeep Tour! Our tour guide, Arni was absolutely the best, we loved his humor and his vast knowledge of Icelandic history as well as his views on Iceland’s current events. This is Iceland’s Best Tour, small groups, they take such great care of their clients.
My only regret is that I didn’t ask if I could purchase one of their Superjeep Jackets : )

Big thank you Super Jeep for an amazing trip to the Golden Circle and Snow mobile experience over the Glacier. Christian our driver and brilliant tour guide made our day so memorable He was full of facts and stories about the island which added to such a fantastic day visiting so many key sights around the island. Absolutely loved the jeep experience and felt truly looked after all day. We would highly recommend booking these guys especially if you are only there for a few days as you get to see so much of the island and the jeep only seats 6 people so you feel really special. And they pick you up from your hotel too! Definitely will book again when we return!!

I went with 4 people on a private, luxury-vehicle Golden Circle Tour from Reykjavik. We got picked up right on time from our hotel by Arni, who I would HIGHLY recommend as a tour guide to anyone. Arni is a local and knows so much history about the country. (He also has a map of Iceland tattooed to his forearm and can help explain what direction we're headed by just pointing to his arm.) Arni took us beyond just the standard Golden Circle sites - he stopped at a local farm that makes ice cream from the dairy cows there on the farm (freshest ice cream I've ever tasted), he stopped at a local tomato greenhouse place for lunch, he took us to a few additional sightseeing spots/waterfalls to give us a feel of the less crowded views around the area, etc. He also played Icelandic music throughout the car drive, and I liked every song so much that I wrote them all down and created my own playlist that I've been listening to for the last week straight. Arni was hilarious - he told us so many stories about his childhood, the history/geology of Iceland, etc. We liked our tour with him so much that we ended up scheduling a Northern Lights Tour with him too (during which he continued to not disappoint!!)
We had a rental car available, but I still recommend doing this tour - rather than having the stress of focusing on the roads (especially in March, when some of the roads are a bit icy/questionable), you can look out the window at the beautiful views and learn a thing or two from your tour guide.

We were taken by Seo our driver/guide on a day trip to see geysers, waterfalls, rock formations and historic landmarks. The most stunning and exciting part was the trip off road up a mountain over 7 metres deep areas of packed snow.
Seo made the trip entertaining and great fun.He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and a fantastic skilled driver.
The jeep was huge and comfortable. He let the air out of the tyres to enable us to go deep into untouched snow. Exhilarating experience that we will never forget.

I had a fantastic day doing this tour.
We saw waterfalls, geysers and lots more on our trip. The scenery was fantastic and well worth it.
The jeep itself was comfortable and fit for purpose on driving on lots of snow and ice.
The best part however was out driver, Arni. He was extremely skilled driver first of all and even in tough conditions you always felt completely safe. He spoke perfect English and had a fantastic sense of humour, a lovely bloke.
Great day.

If you’re trying to decide between tour groups, look no further!!! Super Jeep is the best tour company in Iceland! We were there in February with friends for a four day vacation. We use super jeep for three separate days and three separate tours. Hundreds of tours were canceled while we were there, due to snowy weather, but not super jeep, it was the only tour group that did not cancel its bookings. Our guide, Sio, was phenomenal! He was funny, knowledgeable and always game for an adventure. We did The Northern Lights Tour, The Golden Circle Tour and the Southern Coast Tour. The monster Jeep was roomy and comfortable and could handle any driving conditions. Sio was also an amazing photographer, he took hundreds of pictures which we were then able to upload. Book with these guys, you will be thrilled!

Sio and superjeep absolutely are the best and made our entire trip. 1st night was northern lights - Sio was relentless in his search ( almost no one else saw them) and captured some great pictures for us ( the special hot chocolate was great, too ) . Next day was off for golden circle and snowmobiling - off roading in the monster truck was just as much fun as we plowed around all the other cars trying to make it through the snow. But the real highlights came 2 days later on our south coast tour - EVERYONE else was cancelled due to weather, but Sio took us all over - jumping off a " cliff " in the blue glacier into snowpiles, going to his favorite bakery for buns , and getting us through the roads when no one else was out driving was beyond exciting, exhilerating and incredible. I truly believe he had as much fun as we did. You are crazy if you don't use this company for your tours !!!

Had an amazing time! Definitely the best way to see the Golden Circle and going up on the Glacier was absolutely amazing - the highlight of our holiday. The Superjeep team were all very friendly and we had an amazing day. We also did the northern lights tour with them and that was just as good.
