Widely considered among Iceland’s top attractions, the Secret Lagoon is a series of heated pools and baths where the water stays at 100–104° Fahrenheit (38–40 Celsius) throughout the year. Admire sweeping views over the Icelandic countryside from the comfort of your coach and then enjoy two hours to relax at your leisure in the Secret Lagoon’s steaming pools. Afterward, travel by bus through the beautiful Haukadalur Valley, home to geothermal features, including the Strokkur geyser and Gullfoss waterfall. Thanks to Sam our tour guide for patiently waiting with us past midnight to give us this surreal experience of the North
Northern Lights Bus Tour from Reykjavik. We took this tour by Viator and the local company in Iceland was One Travel Iceland. A special mention and big shout out to our tour guide SAM from One Travel Iceland. He kept the spirits high, always smiling and helping. It was his patience and positive attitude that helped us watch the Northern lights on the 24th Feb 2024. Truly great experience. You are lucky if you get Sam as your guide.

        Beautiful South Iceland day trip!
I did the tour of South Iceland at the beginning of feb and really enjoyed it. The waterfalls were absolutely breathtaking. They were definitely the best part of the day even though you couldn’t walk behind Seljalandsfoss because of snow and ice it was still beautiful to see. The black sand beach was nice but super windy and cold. The glacier was pretty but you can’t get close to it. Our tour guide Gilad was great. A volcano erupted that morning and he kept us up to date on what was happening which was nice and exciting. I loved Iceland and would definitely recommend this day trip.

Brilliant experience. Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide & the driver did a great job all day. Feel like I've learned so much on the tour, plus got to experience surprise extra sights where time allowed. Couldn't recommend it more. Thanks to Richie & Kriss

Golden circle and Secret Lagoon tour
What an absoluteley fabulous trip enjoyed by all the family. Our guide was outstanding. His knowledge of Iceland was informative and very interesting. I enjoyed every part of the tour, especially the Secret Lagoon. 2 down point to be made aware- The bus did not pick us up until 8.40, even though you need to be at the bus stop at 8 ( its cold to stand around, and stressful when you have so many tours coming through that same bus stop. No food or drinks provided. I feel for the price- lunch should be provided. They do in other countries. But overall fabulous trip!

Grand golden circle - great day!
Ritchie and Kris are a well oiled machine - can’t fault them. Was a fantastic day. Learned loads of Icelandic history, culture, saw the sights, and Ritchie even sorted out an extra restaurant visit when the restaurant at Geysir unexpectedly closed a bit earlier than slated. The man is excellent at what he does and clearly has a passion for this - he’s also a goldmine of Reykjavík recommendations for food/drinks and plenty of day trips and sights that are off the beaten track. Can’t recommend this tour enough :)

        Please seat solo travelers together
Please seat solo travelers together - other companies do this. There were many solo travelers taking up two seats with their bags which did not enable my husband and I to sit together on a 14 hour day trip, something we were looking forward to for months. Also, please update the itinerary for your Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon & South Iceland – Day Tour From Reykjavik as it is not accurate. We did not visit the Fjallsárlón Lagoon or the Black Sand Beach. At this price point, the itinerary should be accurate. Asa was a great guide however and should be recognized.

        Amazing tour guide and tour@
Went on a Southern coast trip. Our tour guide was Beggy(rly can't remember his actual name). Beggy was very professional and kept the whole group entertained. I was once worried that my experience will not be as good considering this is a big tour group but it has way exceeded my expectations! Would definitely recommend this

        Fantastic tour of South Iceland.
We had a beautiful clear day to see the sights of South Iceland. Beautiful waterfalls, majestic glacier and stunning black sand beach. All was made so much more enjoyable by our brilliant guide Daniel. Thanks so much for a most memorable day.

        A Little Above Average (3.5/5)
First off, I'd like to point out that our tour guide, Gary, was an absolute delight - he was very knowledgeable and made the trip worthwhile, so by no means is this review a reflection of him. The pick-up was a shambles - we were picked up in a little bus which would take us to a big bus (common in Iceland) but our little bus driver went to the wrong pick-up point, then raced to the correct one, which resulted in us getting the very last few seats on the big bus. The bus was okay - my seat had a broken arm rest, and for something you're on for several hours, you'd think they'd pay attention to the smaller/comfort details. The Golden Circle tour itself is good - there is a fair amount of driving and it's very much a tourist trap, but BusTravel Iceland are one of the cheaper options.

        Amazing experience
I would highly recommend this tour. Gary and Augustine were both fantastic. Felt very safe with Augustine driving and the timings for the whole tour were perfect. Gary provided a lot of information, kept the tour running smoothly and provided some humour which we enjoyed. Amazing tour! Really made our trip to Iceland :) thank you!

I never received confirmation of the trip and therefore ended up not being able to go.
ended up booking a similar tour with excursion Reykjavik and it was excellent was told that at least half of the trip had been credited back as we ended up going on the trip but I have yet to see any of the money refunded.

Amazing experience with a very qualified guide
Amazing experience. It was the last day of our stay in Iceland and we were no longer hopeful: along all the week the sky had been cloudy and the Northern Lights had not been visible. Thanks to the great flexibility of the Northern Lights Bus tour, it was possible for us to postpone until the last evening, when the sky was finally clear. The guide Roman was helpful, patient and very qualified and led us to a panoramic view point isolated from light pollution. We waited until 1 am, without success; but, as we were going back, the guide Roman realized that something was happening; he stopped in a small street and...the aurora appeared! It was an unforgettable experience. Roman was very kind and, since we had a bad camera, he even took some photos of us which he then passed on to us. I absolutely recommend this experience with this company, for its professionalism, availability and transparency. They made my dream come true!

We are so happy with the tour! Our guide and driver Atli did an amazing job, and even though the weather was harsh (snow blizzard) we never felt unsafe. The sites are beautiful and really really cool, and Atli is friendly, funny and has a great knowledge about the history, culture, economy, food and landscape of Iceland. I really recommend the tour, it was very affordable and fun, and a perfect all day trip (it took about 10 hours). Dress warmly if visiting during winter, it was cold as heck :D

This tour is great , takes in all the things you need to see and with plenty of time at all the stops. Pick up was painless and on time in a small mini bus , then transferred to a slightly larger bus - 20 seats or so , Hilda , the driver / guide was brilliant , very informative and seems like she enjoys her job . The highlight for me was the Gullfoss water fall , it’s incredible . The secret lagoon is really nice , you can rent a towel if you don’t have one . It didn’t seem like we were in the bus all day because it’s so well planned , maximum drive between stops is around 45 mins and the scenery is stunning . We booked the tour via trip advisor because we had used them before on previous holidays and they always use really good tour operators. All in all a fantastic day out

Very unprofessional tour guide named Simon, not giving the day itinerary to the group, not carrying how everyone is, getting off the bus first and walking away with a small group of followers before the rest had a chance to even get off, not mentioning the elderly ones left far behind (SHOCKING attitude!)
He was mostly focused on himself and talking to the driver in Icelandic when we tried to ask itinerary questions (what's next, how much time on the bus etc).
Simon was visibly kind to the the US customers (had asked at the start of the tour who is from which country) expecting tips afterwards. He actually even said "Hi guys, I often get asked if tips are mandatory in Iceland, they aren't but if you give us any I will share them with the driver". The tour could have been nice if there were a different tour guide. Very disappointing and pleasant experience (not just mine, I spoke to another European tourist from Germany a day after and she had the same bad impressions).
I would certainly recommend a different tour operator.
Also the tour time was changed and information was sent a day before by an EMAIL (not a text message nor a phone call!!!)

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and we are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your tour. We understand that not everyone on the tour is in the same condition, but as it says on our website, this tour requires moderate hiking and given the tight schedule and ever-changing valley of the volcano, we are trying to get the passengers to the best viewing position. We understand that this could have been viewed as hurrying. It was never our intention to leave someone behind, our customers are, however, welcome to do the hike at their own pace if they can't keep up with the rest of the group. We are sorry to hear that you had the impression that the guide was intentionally asking questions. We, at BusTravel, have not only created a very international environment within our staff but strongly stand for equality, openness, and respect in the treatment of our passengers. Símon is one of our most knowledgeable and experienced guides, and he has confirmed to me that by introducing such a question he only meant to start a conversation and to know passengers a little better. Thank you for bringing the problem with pick-up time change to our attention, however, due to the post-covid restart of the service, sometimes we need to change the time of the tour, and if the email about this is not responded we always try to reach the customer by all means provided by the customer.

Booked to go on The Golden Circle/Secret Lagoon tour with this company, having brought our 85 year old Aunty as a Christmas/birthday present.
First trip was understandably cancelled due to the weather conditions on the day, rescheduled for the day after.
Received an email 10 minutes AFTER the scheduled pick up time to cancel due to "high winds"........strangely, the other tour operators were still running their tours, including the same itinerary as we'd booked with this appalling company.
My wife and I are not only disappointed, especially for our Aunt, but also totally unimpressed with this company.
      Really would not recommend whatsoever!

Hey there, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the weather conditions on your travel date were a lot worse then predicted and the authorities decided to keep the roads closed for safety reasons. We offered you to join the tour on a different date or to receive a full refund. We are extremely sorry we could not push through the tour as planned, but safety is of course first. We hope you still enjoyed your time in Iceland!

If you don’t have much time or if it’s winter time then I’d recommend to do this trip... however, if it’s summer time then better rent a car and do it on our own as you will be more flexible time-wise at every stop. The secret lagoon was very nice and warm although we thought it will be much bigger. Overall, the trip organisation and guide were good!!

We had a simply amazing time on all our Bus travel Iceland tours. We booked onto four (volcano and geothermal hike, south Iceland day trip, golden circle, and northern lights - all of them really surpassed our expectations. The scenery was unforgettable but what really made it fantastic was the guide Monika and the Driver Tomek. We felt in very safe hands and we learnt so much about Iceland and the surrounding area. Monika in particular went above and beyond with the detailed information she told us about Iceland in general and all of the sites we visited. I thoroughly recommend this tour and would recommend using Bus Travel Iceland for multiple trips. We went on several and was loved all of them.

What an amazing day we had on this tour we loved it
Howser our guide and driver is a great guy and very passionate about his country and its beauty.
The depth of his overall knowledge of Iceland and all its history is phenomenal but Howser delivers the information with such passion he is funny and very entertaining so its never boring.

There was a really good balance between activity and travel time. The bus was modern, comfortable and clean

The secret lagoon visit was a real treat and we had it practically to ourselves as there was only 9 of us on the bus

There was 3 of us travelling together and we all loved this trip so highly recommended
Book this trip you will not be disappointed

I recommend this tour in particular because it includes the Secret Lagoon, which was a fantastic and worthwhile experience unto itself as one of Iceland's oldest pools, albeit smaller and more quaint than the Blue or Sky Lagoons.

Our guide and bus driver Josef struck the perfect balance of being informative about what we were seeing/about to see, injecting a wry sense of humor, and also just playing music while we all gawked at the stunning Icelandic landscape. We received an adequate amount of time at each destination and ate lunch at the Geysir food court which offered a variety of meal options -- although I would recommend bringing a couple snacks as you may not eat lunch until closer to 1:30.

The guide Chiara was super friendly and very courteous. The trip was fantastic, although next time we would select the trip to Blue Lagoon where most people from the Princess Cruise ship went. On the way back to the cruise terminal, my wife left her NorthFace down jacket on the overhead storage compartment. She did not realize it until the next day when our cruise ship was well on its way to Scotland. This jacket has great sentimental value to my wife, because it was a gift from our son using his first paycheck right after school, so my wife could stay warm while visiting Iceland. When I contacted BusTour Iceland, they said they found the jacket and offer to send it back. We just had to cover postage. After a couple of emails back and forth, the jacket is now on its way back to us in California. We are deeply gratified for their help. Andrius at customer service even turned down our offer to pay a small fee for their troubles and the run around. BusTour Iceland demonstrates an example of the typical friendliness of the people in Iceland during our multi port visits. I will be back - to the Blue Lagoon - on their bus tour. Visiting Iceland should be on everyone’s bucket list.

This is a great trip if your time is short and you want to hit all the hot spots. Stopped at the crater, then headed to the Secret lagoon where we had 90 minutes to relax and enjoy the geothermal spa (I want this back home!). Our guide, Glumur, was so knowledgeable and funny, he made the trip feel very welcoming. We also didn't have the best weather but our driver Linus made sure we got everywhere safely. The views of the falls and fissures were breathtaking. Dress warmly and you'll have a wonderful time!
