We were able to see the Thingvellir National Park, Geysir Basin and Gullfoss Falls. We appreciated the fact that the guide would drop us off at one part of an attraction with directions to hike to another location where he would pick us up. This was a great way to really experience these locations. (Note: these were not super difficult or long hikes). The northern lights were out the night we were there, but at first fairly faint. But on our way back into Reykjavik they came out in full force, and the guide was quick to find a place where we could see them well. The only downside was our dinner which felt overpriced.

We had an outstanding day with Adam on our visit to Landmannalaugar. We had four full days planned and were debating how to spend our 5th full day and are all very glad we picked this tour. It was very different than everything else we saw and you can only reach this part of Iceland about 3 months each year. I picked the tour with Try Iceland versus the other 1-day tours because it seemed like you got to see a lot more along the way to/from Landmannalaugar than the other tours and we were not disappointed. Adam made so many stops at gorgeous waterfalls, crater lakes, areas that looked like Mars, etc. It was a long day but a fantastic one. Adam was such a delight too - so knowledgeable and just so nice! His jeep had Wifi too.

My husband and I joined a small group tour of the Highlands and Landmannalaugar. Adam is an incredible tour guide, I would not take a tour of Iceland any other way. He takes you to spots he knows of where the giant tour groups don't go. It's the first nature tour I've had where I felt like I was actually seeing something without a swarm of people. He really let's you drive the pace of the day. At one point he even drove us around looking for a place to buy towels for the hotspring! He's got great stories to tell and has collected an incredible amount of Icelandic knowledge in his time here. Choose Try Iceland!

"Landmannalaugar by Super Jeep" by Try Iceland was a highlight of our Iceland vacation. Their itinerary was the best: we stopped at 3 crater lakes, 3 waterfalls, and spent 3.5 hours at Landmannalaugar itself. We had enough time there to take a 3-mile hike through lava fields, past fumaroles, enjoying fantastically colorful mountains, and at the end, enjoy a dip in the Landmannalaugar hot springs. We booked our excursion on tryiceland.com and we couldn't ask for a better experience: they were very responsive and clearly communicated the prices and schedule. There was no problem when we asked to be picked up at a hotel in Selfoss on their way to the highlands. Our driver & guide, Adam, was very friendly, went out of his way to make sure that everybody was comfortable and answered countless questions not only about our trip, but about life in Iceland in general. When other jeeps stop at the bottom of the Ljótipollur crater to let their clients take a hike, Adam in his jeep drove a 2 km bumpy trail to the top of the crater: he was the only one parking there. I highly recommend choosing Try Iceland for your excursion to Landmannalaugar.

Amazing tour! The best views we saw in iceland. Adam, the driver, is a super nice guy, very safe driving thought the roads of highlands. Incredible tour, recommend to anyone looking to see diferent landscapes than the usual spots in iceland.

Me and my mother had booked a small group tour, but it became private as we were traveling off season in early May. Adam was the best host, kind, flexible and very nice talking to during the long trip. We got to see all things as described + some extras including churches and lighthouses which my mother loved. Adam provided a walking pole to my mother when needed, much appreciated. The Jeep offered a really good view both at the side windows and in the front, much better than the mini bus we went with another day (another company). Kinga replied very fast on all my questions via e-mail before the tour. Highly recommend Try Iceland Tours!

This was the absolute highlight of our trip! From start to finish we had such an amazing day/night. The jeep was a great way to explore and with a max of 6 passengers made the experience a lot more personal and enjoyable. Adam was so knowledgeable about each place he took us too and managed to beat the bus tour crowds at each location which meant we were able to fully appreciate each area and get some fabulous pictures too. We packed so much into the day ticking off all the main sites around the Golden Circle. The scenery was beautiful and we also had fantastic clear blue skies and sun which added to the experience. Adam provided crampons to trek over some of the more icy areas, which made life a lot easier. The restaurant Adam took us too whilst we waited for dark to try and see the Northern Lights was really good, great choices and lovely food and staff. We managed to see the Northern Lights!! Adam also spent a long time helping me with my camera settings to help get the best pictures and also took some amazing pictures that he is going to send to us too. Thanks for an amazing experience!

Once in a lifetime exposure on this amazing tour! Adam was a brilliant tour guide and the you itself was amazing. The golden circle tour is so much better in a small group and we loved the hike up to the frozen waterfall. We were then lucky enough to see the northern lights. Can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

Adam took us to the most beautiful places, He was very knowledgeable about the areas; historical, geological and local landscapes and customs. He was very interesting and informative. He was thoughtful to each and every person on our tour. Learning and seeing the world’s oldest parliament location and Iceland’s largest lake as well as Gulfoss Waterfall was incredible. He supplied safety equipment and instruction on how to use it safely for traversing icy trails. Above all he even extended our time to make sure we saw the Northern Lights and took us to multiple locations to get the best viewing. We are soooo happy we took this tour with Adam.

Fantastic day, Adam was very knowledgeable and very friendly - a pleasure to spend the day with. Very safe driving through treacherous conditions. As there was no chance of the northern lights Adam suggested we go to the secret lagoon instead which was fantastic. The sights themselves are amazing, and we weren't rushed. 10/10 would recommend

We had an amazing day, Adam our guide was punctual, extremely knowledgeable about all things Iceland and it was a pleasure to learn about life in Iceland. The entire planning of the day was taken care of and his ability to locate and track the Northern Lights later that evening were spot on. Thank you, Adam.... 100% recommend this tour !

Home from an amazing trip to Iceland and the best part was our trip with Adam. We were picked up promptly and then headed out to begin the tour. The first part was roughly 12-5pm on the Golden Circle. We then went for dinner at a local restaurant (food was 10/10). And then headed out in search of the northern lights. We got a faint look at them but even though they weren’t the brightest this was still my favourite part of the day - Adam’s patience, experience and knowledge can’t be beaten. We got back to the hotel around 11.30pm. We couldn’t have enjoyed the day more. It was a pleasure to have met Adam, he was friendly and his knowledge of the country is outstanding. I can’t recommend this trip enough.

The tour exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the convenience of getting picked up and dropped off directly at our hotel instead of waiting at a bus stop. Since the group was small, we were able to visit many beautiful areas without feeling rushed. Adam selected a wonderful restaurant for dinner, and then he mapped out the best areas to see the Northern Lights. Although the conditions were not favorable for the lights, Adam found a perfect spot where we could see them. He took photos and helped us adjust settings on our phones to capture the beauty of the lights.

Adam was the perfect host. Very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. He managed our expectations well and when the forecast looked poor for the northern lights, added something alternative to our itinerary. We ended up in a lovely restaurant. Would definitely recommend!

The tour was ok, we saw some beautiful sites but the actual colors of Landmannalaugar were sadly under the snow. The problem was that we were charged double for this tour. I believe this was a glitch on their website or booking system but we were charged twice. Despite multiple calls and emails, Try Iceland refused to refund the overcharge. They blamed the "tour operator" but as it was the Try Iceland site that caused the over charge I don't know why they would put the refund on the driver. Sadly, I can't recommend Try Iceland Tours.
