The views were amazing and we took so many great photos and videos. Margaret was our tour guide and Stanley was the driver. She was very friendly and helped with all the history of Iceland and best places to visit. Stanley got us everywhere in one piece lol.

Enchanting day trip in Snæfellsnes Peninsula
I had a very pleasant small group tour, especially thanks to our guide, Lasma. She was flexible, even in unexpected situations, and always found great alternatives. One special surprise turned out to be the cherry on top. Throughout the tour, we were never rushed and could go at our own pace, unlike standard big bus tours. We had plenty of time at each stop to absorb and savor the experience, which I appreciated the most. Thanks for this wonderful excursion!

We were waiting for 45 minutes at bus stop 8 in Reykjavik and nobody picked us up. Reykjavik excursions by Icelandia says, the GPS would proof that we were a no-show, so therefore they refuse a refund. But for me this looks like a bad scam. Either it is not true that somebody was there or the bus just crossed by station 8 without stopping.
We actually met the Tourguide later on at one of the stops we managed to go to on our own. She told us something about "surprisingly many no shows" which shows pretty clearly to me that something went wrong with the morning pick ups.
We will definitely fight for getting our money back. Cause very obviously, icelandia scams people with the GPS system "proof".
Better to choose another tour company or go by your own.

I enjoyed the experience at Fontana Wellness - especially the bread experience from the hot springs (absolutely delicious - sweet and warm). It was a wintry mix weather so the Golden Circle was a little bit harder to experience. I can say, Iceland is gorgeous in the winter - stark but pretty. I wish we were able to walk through the Rift valley but we were not at Thingvellir National Park long enough. I appreciated being able to do the tour nonetheless. Our tour guide, Inga, was knowledgeable and shared information about each stop. When we were running behind on time, she called Fontana ahead to make sure we'd still be able to participate in the bread tour. I would recommend for anyone considering this tour that they make it in less wet weather, winter or summer if they can.

Thanks for sharing! It's great you enjoyed the Fontana Wellness experience, especially the delicious bread. Even in winter's mix, Iceland's beauty stood out. We appreciate your understanding about the time constraints. Inga's efforts and knowledge were valuable. Thanks for recommending, and we hope to see you back in drier weather!

Totally fantastic day out, guided by the great BG. The love he has for his country was evident, and he gave us a huge amount of information about Iceland, in a really engaging story telling way. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide!
The day itself was lovely, all the stops were very special in their own right. We had lunch at the Geysir sight and the soup was lovely. Fontana spa and eating bread baked in the sands was extra special. The weather was very windy and our extra layers really helped, so don’t leave your hat at home!

We took this tour the day after we arrived on a late night flight. Everything went smoothly, due to the personalized service from our guide Eric. He was knowledgeable and friendly and answered ALL the questions, even the most obvious that he must have heard a thousand times, with great information and attitude. We went to Thingvellir National Park, where we walked between the gap in the continental plates and overlooked a beautiful lake where the first government happened. We watched the Strokkur geyser erupt and ate a good lunch at the restaurant there. The waterfall we walked to at the next stop was breathtaking. After all our touring we got to soak in hot pools on the lake's edge and watch them uncover rye bread baking in the hot springs' sandy shore. The bread was tasty! A great way to start our trip.

This was a great way to see some of the top sites if you have limited time in Iceland. We only had a quick stopover, two days actually. The pick up and drop off was convenient to our hotel. Our tour was a Mercedes minibus and was very comfortable. They even had phone charging ports for each seat which we did use. The three scenic stops were beautiful. We stopped at the National park, Geysir, and Gullfoss waterfall. There was just enough time for lunch at the Geysir stop. The last stop was Fontana wellness center, which was a bit disappointing. The bread making demonstration was not worth the 30 minutes it took. I’d have rather had that time in the baths.

We used Reykjavik excursions for all of our transfers and excursions whilst staying in Iceland and they were great. Always on time, and everything was clearly signposted so you knew which bus to get on.

The Golden Circle Tour and Fontana Wellness Spa was particularly amazing, and made better by our tour guide Hoskuldar Frimannsson - who was particularly knowledgeable about the destinations we were going to and the surrounding areas we were travelling through. Definitely recommend adding Fontana Wellness Spa to the golden circle tour- great day!

We just finished an Awesome day walking through beautiful dramatic landscapes and soaking at the Fontana Wellness Spa. Our tour guide, Dillon, was an amazing story teller providing us with scientific information and folklore of the landscape and history of Reykjavik and Golden Circle.

The tours of the natural wonders of the region coupled with a dip in the frigid waters of Fontana then a relaxing soak in the geothermal tubs was Awesome!!! Loved the rye bread!

      Thankyou

A great day trip with adequate time at all 3 major stops on the Golden Circle. We didn’t once feel rushed and got to take in the beauty of every stop. Our guide Flosi was very informative and helpful.

Fontana Wellness spa was a lovely addition to the trip and very relaxing, just ensure you take towels or you need to pay for them at the spa! The geothermal rye bread experience was surprisingly interesting and delicious to taste!

      I would certainly go again!

I had the BEST day on this tour! I was picked up from my hotel on time, and the bus was very clean and very comfortable. There were only 13 on our tour which was great as we all got to know each other by the end of the day!
Our tour guide for the day was Siggi, and he was great, very friendly and funny and told us so much about Icelandic culture and history as we drove from place to place. The sights were beautiful, and we had plenty of time off the bus at each to explore. Fontana was beautiful! We had plenty of time here to enjoy the geothermal baths, sauna and dip in the cold lake! And I loved trying the rye bread cooked there too. An absolutely brilliant day tour, great company.
