We had a great private tour. Pickup point was well defined and on time. We never felt rushed at any points of interest. We highly recommend any tour with Andres. We got some good photos and videos especially of the eruption.

I hired Andres to take my family (2 adults, 2 kids) for a full day tour of southern Iceland. Andres was very accommodating and designed a tour that stopped at some of the most spectacular locations Iceland has to offer while staying within our shore-leave time window. He was very responsive to questions via WhatsApp before our tour, picked us up promptly at the cruise terminal, and made adjustments to our tour on the fly to accommodate weather, traffic, and our preferences to spend more time at one site vs. another. Andres was always quick to offer to take a photo and made occasional stops along the way to point out natural features or wildlife. I highly recommend Andres and his company.

We had an enjoyable time seeing the best of Iceland with Andres over three days. Communicating over e-mail before we got to Iceland was easy, and while there Andres was more than accommodating for the continued customization of our days. Even after a full day's tour, Andres took us to Sky Lagoon in the evening and patiently waited for us to finish so we wouldn't have to cab back. Andres took us around in comfortable 4WD, is a safe & excellent driver, and has many stories to share! Most enjoyable day for us was South Coast.

The country of Iceland is truly amazing for its beautiful out of this world scenic places. Once in a life time , it is definitely worth our effort & time to visit. All the attractions are totally irresistible. Must view the Arora - Northern Lights Show, the Glaciers, the Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon, Kerid, Volcanic Crater, Dynjandi Waterfall, Lake Myvatn, Diamond Beach just to name a few.Puffin viewing is a must too. To enjoy Iceland at your own pace, suggest that you rent an EV car(from the airport) and drive along the 1300 sq km of the island. Kindly adhere to the speed limit although the drive along the coastal roads can be rather challenging. As most food are imported into Iceland, the overall food variery is rather limited and could be slightly pricy although the icelandic water is free and superb. It is very convinient as its cashless as all establishments accept cards as payment. There is no necessity to change to icelandic krona. Best time to visit is around July to September as we can enjoy almost 18 to 20 hours fof daylight.

We had a *wonderful* time with Andres yesterday. He had a flexible schedule for us and picked us up at our hotel (on time) shortly after we arrived in Iceland. He completely customized the trip for us—allowing us to be on our own for certain sections (like a one-way walk in the national park—he dropped us off in one parking lot and picked us up at a different lot). There’s a bit of driving between stops, and Andres was great at answering questions, and just filling us in on life in Iceland in general. In our case, we opted to not go to the Blue Lagoon, but did the Secret Lagoon instead—seems to be a better option. (We definitely enjoyed the Secret Lagoon). In no case did he ever say “meet me here in XX minutes”—it was always “stay as long as you like!” All in all, it was an excellent personalized tour, wouldn’t change a thing. We’ve done tours all over the world—he’s right up there as a top professional.

We enjoyed a fabulous day off our cruise ship with Andres taking in Thingvellir National Park, the Geyser, Gullafoss waterfall and a bathe in the Secret Lagoon. He was also kind enough to stop further on the way back to see some of the key sights with the city of Reykjavik. Andres accommodated all of our requests and nothing was too much trouble. we enjoyed very relaxed conversations throughout the day. He is a very kind and considerate person. His driving was calm and measured. We would fully recommend this tour to anyone in Reykjavik but particularly to cruise passengers who would probably be paying something like double the cost for half the time and with a coachload of people rather than a private SUV with Andres.

Andres tailored our tour to what we were interested as well as to my mobility issues (i have difficulty walking and use a cane). We saw all of the highlights of the Golden Circle and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and history of what we experienced. He answered all of our questions and provided great insight into the history of Iceland as well as Iceland today. Would recommend him-great tour and reasonable price.

Where do I start? How about saying Andres is an amazing guide. Not only knowledgeable about the sites we visited, but also of the Icelandic people, their history and Iceland history as it interacts with the rest of the world. And Andres is willing to adapt to his customer desires, be it weather related, hiking ability and more. Worth all the money it takes.

Mercury Grail is a fantastic company to use. I initially chose this company because I read on Reddit raving reviews. My friend and I took a private day trip and although the trip was planned we were able to cater our trip to however we wanted. I highly recommend the south coast over the golden circle. Both are great, but the views are breathtaking on the south coast! Andres is went above and beyond to make our trip extra special. I highly recommend him as a personal driver!

Andres did an amazing job of customizing our private tour to maximize our experience with limited time in Iceland. We had a 23 hour layover on our way to Rome, and this tour was perfect to give us a taste of Iceland and the desire to return. He picked us up from the airport and took us to see waterfalls, volcanoes, geysers, a lagoon, a visit to Reykjavik, and then back to our apartment near the airport. He is a wealth of knowledge, a very safe driver, and has a great personality. Highly recommend Mercury Grail and Andres to anyone visiting Iceland!

Andres organised, at very short notice, a bespoke day tour for me. From the moment that Andres met me at the airport to the moment he dropped me back there, I had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
