    Please avoid Reykjavik Sightseeing!!!
They didn't pick us up and refused to give us a refund. We're not the first customers this has happened to. Our pickup time on the ticket was 10am but they apparently start picking people up at 9:30. We arrived at our pickup point around 9:35 - my daughters glasses broke as we were leaving our apartment and she ran back for her spare pair. They don't come back after picking up other guests or call to see where you are. They just left us at the bus stop til I called them at 10:20 to see where they were. Dealing with them this week has not been pleasant so I'd avoid at all costs, we found other tour operators so much better and they do pop back if people aren't there.

    Absolutely Worth It!
Kristina did an amazing job guiding us on this tour!! We saw the most beautiful waterfalls and incredible black sand beach!! Much more to see as the adventure goes on but those were my main highlights! Just like every other tour pick up and drop off were smooth and easy! Loved every second of it!!

    Uncomfortable and disappointing coach.
Great trip, great guide BUT spoiled. My wife and I did two tours. The tour guides were both friendly and informative. However the buses were not up to the standard that you advertise! Neither bus could be described as luxury. Both had the same problems. The legroom was not adequate. I’m only 5’10” nut there was not enough room. I spent hours on both trips with my knees jammed into the back of the seat in front, or had to sit sideways. which is painful and uncomfortable. The other problem was that only half the seats had USBs, and most of them didn’t work, so our phones ran out of battery charge with the result that on the Golden Circle tour we missed some photo opportunities.

    Great
Perfect trip. We left our hotel at 7:30 for the transfer to the bus stop. First stop about an hour out of town, overlooking truly amazing views of a lake. Moved onto natural springs & waterfalls. The whole trip was great with enough time at each stop to explore & pick up refreshments. Guide was super informative. Don’t miss this trip!

    100% recommend this tour!
We both had an amazing tour. Darren and Helgi were both fantastic. It's rare to find a tour guide who has a great sense of humor as well as local knowledge but our tour guide Darren had them both and made the trip a memorable one. The tour itself took in some amazing sights, the Gullfoss waterfall being my favourite.

    Amazing South Coast tour
Had the most amazing tour on the South Coast with our guide Michael. He was funny, friendly and eager to answer all the questions we had. We also had nice weather and really saw Icelandic nature in its greatness. Definitely recommend! :)

    Do not recommend.
Didnt go on the tour, my husband and I were at the designated pick up locations for over 30 minutes waiting. I finally contacted the company and they stated the bus had been to the destination and we missed the bus. I talked to 3 different representatives and none of their stories and pick up locations were the same…..It is absolutely mind blowing to me that if said bus had been at location they did not call out names, anything to try to locate their passengers. Super disappointed in this booking and company... complete waste of my time and money. Save yourself the hassle rent a car and look up south coast tour on your own. Do not recommend this company. I have gone on over 50+ tours and have NEVER once missed or had issues with any company.

Do not use Reykjavik (rvk) Sightseeing
BUYER BEWARE!!! Do not use this company! So many other great choices to choose from: East West, Gateway to Iceland, Nice Travel and others. But Reykjavik (rvk) Sightseeing is not focused on customer service. They WILL leave you behind, and then refuse to refund you your money. We were at our designated pickup spot at the designated time for our tour and the bus left us. They don’t call you on the phone (like every other company does, we saw how they called other passengers on other tours we had) or even step out of the bus to call your name (no matter the fact that the station may have several people and several vans/buses). They simply don’t care. Before booking tours, please do yourself a favor and read the 1 star reviews, and see how many people have the same story. Check if your tour operator is owned by RSS Group. If they are, FIND AN ALTERNATIVE.

    Really interesting tour
My wife and I went on the South Coast tour and we thought it was brilliant. The Bus Hostel where we had to get picked up from had a lobby you could sit in and wc facilities. The coach picked us up on time and was very comfortable, it was a long day, but Louisva our expert guide and Tomas our expert driver were both amazing and the day flew by. We saw lots of really interesting sites, Tomas driving was great in sometimes really poor weather and Louisva was like a human encyclopedia about Iceland she knew so much about so much and it was fascinating listening to her stories and Information Even though the weather was shocking as Louisva said there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choice, and we had such a great time, we would 100% do this exact trip again Tak Tak Louisva and Tomas!

    Great Experience!
I booked three tours (Northern Lights, Golden Circle, and South Coast - Glacier Lagoon and Black Diamond Beach) as well as my airport pick up and drop off with this company and they were AMAZING! They were friendly and knowledgeable about the areas and activities. They were on time and had everything so well coordinated. I would highly recommend them for your trip!

    Amazing waterfalls!!
Our guide Kristy was friendly and attentive! She also shared lots of classic Icelandic stories and fairytales with us which I really enjoyed! My friend and I did the Golden Circle tour with another operator the day before, and we got many information about the geology and history about Iceland. So learning the cultural side of Iceland was refreshing :) One suggestion I’d give is to allow a bit more time at each spot, it was quite rush for most people on the tour that day. Overall, amazing tour! Highly recommend!

    Bad communication and customer service.
Trip got cancelled (understandably as it was cloudy). They emailed and said to rebook. 3 emails later trying to rebook, still heard nothing and we’ve been home for 4 days! Now trying to get a refund which they said they would honour. Still no answer. Terrible customer service, avoid.

I went in the winter where it is dark till 11:30-3 and nothing really opens until 12 pm. So I decided to take this tour that starts at 10 am. Our guide was very knowledgable and loved his city and welcomed any questions. I learned a lot and I did this on my first full day so I got a sense of where things are and what to do. Highly recommend!

We did the small group walking tour - our guide Sana??(sp) was fantastic! She was funny, engaging, and provided a great insight into life in Reykjavik. The smaller group (10 people) allowed us time to ask a variety of questions and made the tour more personable. Highly recommend!!

Wasn’t sure what to expect until Arthnaud aka Nori gave us a fun and informative two hour tour of his town.

He is an underemployed actor who deserves good roles as he was charming, witty and patient. His personal recommendations have proven to be spot on.

It seemed he knew and often was related to everyone we saw. Great shtick in any case.

Yes, we saw lots of midtown and even the shiny new parts were made interesting by him.

Amazing place. Such lovely painted buildings and the cathedral was an impressive centrepiece. Rainbow road was great and the Viking sculpture on the sea front was impressive. Lucky to see the Christmas decorations as we
Visited January 2nd and also the Christmas cat who fortunately didn’t eat us. Great shops and places to eat. Inside the cathedral is worth a visit as the organ is huge. Good to walk in daylight and at night as different experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three hour walking tour with Mo. A little surprised at first that he wasn't an Icelander but it turned out to somehow be an advantage as he could relate to the country and people from an outside view as well as knowing all about the country and its history. Mo was very knowledgable and a good storyteller with a nice touch of humour and time flew in his company.

Luca was absolutely AMAZING! We booked this tour months in advance and Luca reached out to make sure we that we were all set and if we had any questions to let him know. The tour was on our first day and very of our stay. Luca is very detailed, not rushed but went at a great pace! He brought us local food, drink and sweat treat to try.
I would highly recommend Luca. We even have reservations for one of the restaurants he suggested.

We had an excellent guide - Asta. She provided an excellent history of the city and clearly very proud of her country, which is always great to see. She was very entertaining and gave us some great tips on where to eat and shop as well.

Other than the weather (very rainy and windy), the walking tour was wonderful. It was our only full day in Reykjavik and our guide (?) provided us a great overview of the city and culture--historic and current. Our only request is that the tour guides wear a name tag so we can recognize them as our guides and remember their names.

What a disappointment. This was our first full day in Reykjavik and we had booked this tour to get our bearings and get to know the city. We arrived not just 10 mins early, as requested, but 25 mins early. We waited in the correct location and our tour guide did not arrive. We looked inside the church and all the way around the statue just to be sure, but no. The tour was supposed to depart at 14:00 and we waited until 14:10, but given the very cold weather we did not fancy waiting around any longer. I have been on many walking tours, most of them free, and have never been let down in this way. Very frustrating as we could have spent our limited time in Iceland on another tour or activity.

We just got back from Iceland, and this was supposed to be the first day tour of our trip. But the tour operator didn't show up. We were at the church on 1:45pm (there was a family there 1:30pm for the same tour), and we waited until 2:45pm....In between, we called Reykjavik Sightseeing for 5 times and they was not able to locate the tour operator of that day (Unbelievable!!!!!)...I have to request refund through Viator since Reykjavik Sightseeing didn't initially process this booking...My husband and I ended up just walking around the city (relatively small and walkable place) by ourselves....

Hi there Thank you for taking the time to review Reykjavík Sightseeing, despite your review not being in our favor. To clarify, we are only resellers of the Reykjavík Walking tour tour as there is another company that operates the tour. That being said, we are just as disappointed as you and extremely sorry for this. When you called our office our staff member immediately tried to reach the operators and help you out. We later found out that this was a last minute cancellation, due to unforseen circumstances. We completely understand your frustration. Regarding the refund process, when you book a tour through a third party (e.g. Viator) and the tour is cancelled, you need to contact your booking channel directly to claim a refund. We cannot issue refunds for bookings made through a third party, as we do not have any creditcard details for those customers. Once again our apologies. We hope that the rest of your Iceland holiday went smoothly. All the best, Reykjavík Sightseeing
