- lesleylM6338JK0 contributionsAmazing ATV Adventure. What a great experience! Our guide, a young Spanish gentleman, was lovely. His rundown of the rules and guide to the bikes was both to the point and humorous. He lead us up a pat up a mountain. At the top, he made sure to take pics for each couple in our group. I was nervous to allow my 17 yo son who just started driving, to drive on the off roading trail as it was difficult in parts, but I knew he was disappointed and probably wanted a more thrilling experience. So, he took my son on his bike down the mountain to give him a real experience. He also stopped so that my son could drive on some fun roads and experience the drive. He was very good to us. The Safari Quads other staff were equally as wonderful to deal with when we were checking in and afterwards. I would highly recommend this tour. 1 hour was enough - but I suspect the 2 and 3 hour tours would be incredible. Thanks Safari Quads for a memorable experience!Written March 23, 2025
- laurentI6727QE0 contributionsFav part of trip! The views were amazing, we felt very safe, and our tour guide was phenomenal! 10/10 recommend - one of our favorite parts of our trip for sure!Written March 16, 2025
- chelseyo9620 contributionsExhilarating way to see the landscape! This trip was incredible and I’d love to do it again! The brief at the start was comprehensive, all of the clothing we were provided meant the rubbish weather didn’t diminish the experience and we had an exhilarating time. The guides were friendly and safety conscious and the route was great for seeing the Icelandic landscape up close.Written March 12, 2025
- julianacJ7605LU0 contributionsyou must do the ATVs!!Gonzalo was an amazing tour guide and made this ride one of the most fun experiences we had in Iceland. Views are amazing and the ride is so fun! This is a must do!Written March 7, 2025
- Andrew P0 contributionsSimply amazingFirst time ever I have rode an ATV bike. The team were excellent. Instructions on how to operate the bike were comprehensive. Outer clothing, gloves, helmet etc all taken care of. An extra concern for me was that my partner was my passenger. Our guide apologies I’m useless with names who was Spanish, was great. I didn’t feel rushed. The off road bit was thrilling and terrain breathtaking. I wouldn’t hesitate to do this again.Written March 7, 2025
- ryanmD467DK0 contributionsExcitingThis was my first time in an ATV. Our guide did an excellent job, and it was a great experience! I would recommend it. It was super easy to connect with the company, and they dropped us off in front of our hotel afterward. Our guide (Gonzalez I think) was exceptional! My wife was very nervous at first , but he took the extra time to make her feel comfortable and really enjoy driving the atvs.Written March 4, 2025

- erinrP2174AR0 contributions2 hour quad experienceWe opted for the 2 hours ATV sight seeing tour of Reykjavik and it did not disappoint. The 2 hours were definitely worth every penny. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the peaks and the views were absolutely incredible. It was great seeing the city from a different perspective. The snow also helped make the scenery look outstanding. The guides were very friendly from the very beginning when messaging Bryndis to meeting our guide Paula. All were very helpful and kind throughout the experience. Would highly, highly recommend doing this tour if you visit Reykjavík in the winter! Would also be incredible during the summer for the sunset tour. Thank you to all for making this experience so enjoyable. It’ll be one we won’t forget!Written March 1, 2025

- T5774SRaland0 contributionsTeam Alan'sFantastic experience, so much fun and the scenery was amazing, after we were kitted out and had the safety instructions we headed off to the hills, a small part on roads then the rest on the trail which was very good because it wasn't flat, so it was a little challenging, the tour guide was great as we had a few pauses to make sure everyone was ok and happy with the pace of the tour, when we got to the summit the view was breathtaking, after a break to take our photos we headed back. I would definitely do another tour with this company in the future, all the guides were great, very encouraging and making you feel at ease. Excellent.👍👍👍Written February 25, 2025
- Kernow9990 contributionsAbsolutely brilliantWe absolutely loved this experience. It was a last minute booking and was actually the highlight of our holiday. Brilliant equipment, guides, knowledge and scenery. Sir Kaktuz is a star! Wish we had booked a long trip! Highly recommendedWritten February 25, 2025
- emilymclarenn0 contributionsAmazing experience!A solo experience I will never forget. Pickup was on time and easy to organise. When I arrived Paula and her colleagues were amazing at helping us all get dressed, there were many layers so it was very tricky! All of us got a good explanation of how to use the bikes safely. Then I went on a 2 hour adventure with Paula (one of the workers) and we went to 2 destinations. The last one we luckily got to see a rainbow - Paula took heaps of photos for me & told me a little bit about Iceland and its volcanic activity. Drop off was included. I would recommend this tour & if possible to have Paula as your tour guide, she was very knowledgeable.Written February 23, 2025

This was by far one of our favorite parts during our time here at Iceland.
Lisa, our tour guide was a down to earth exciting person to have guided us in this buggy experience. I was terrified but she definitely assured any worries I had. I will preface with this, if you listen to the rules and listen to the guide the better the experience you will have and the faster the speeds you may go. We had some unfortunate poor souls who did not listen which affected our experience but Lisa did end up making it even more wonderful towards the end.
You may think you are going too fast but you do need to just understand that these are made for off road so do not be afraid to let the vehicle do what it’s suppose to do.
Overall this was amazing and we got to see the geothermal pipes and the lava field which hearing the history behind was also quite interesting. Especially since the guides see environmental differences almost on a daily basis. Would def do this again.

The weather was rainy and cool with limited visibility but we still had an awesome time. Our guide, Alex, was GREAT - he made sure we were equipped for the weather, understood the machine, and even traded helmets when mine became problematic. He's very knowledgeable about the area and took the time to point out areas of interest and answer questions. He took great photos and videos for us to make sure we had lasting memories. Don't hesitate to take a tour with Safari Quds and be sure to ask for Alex.

First and foremost, this was an awesome experience and the best way to see the landscape of Reykjavik. From the time you book all the way to the end of the tour, you can tell these guys are pros! It doesn’t matter what tour you book with Safari Quads, you will be in good hands. My guide Alex was friendly and easy to talk to which made the experience all the better. With the Blue Mountains tour you get to drive through beautiful scenery one can honestly only see in Iceland. A bonus for me was that the buggy I drove had great power and traction to get you through the rugged terrain. So if you want an adrenaline rush to go with your beautiful surroundings Safari Quads will not disappoint. 5/5 highly recommend this for anyone visiting Reykjavik!

One of the best parts of our Iceland adventure! We made the decision last minute to book a buggy tour on our "free day" in Iceland. SO GLAD we did!
They suited us up in super warm & cozy overalls to keep us comfortable on the tour. We ended up getting a private tour with Stefan and it was wonderful!
Stefan made sure to give us the full safety run-down and made sure we were doing well throughout the trip. He brought us to a geo-thermal springs stop about halfway through and gave us some info about the area and geography.
We headed up Skarðsmýrarfjall which is part of the Hengill mountain range. We had beautiful views of Ingólfsfjall and got some excellent photos.
Coming from Colorado, we were very happy to see some beautiful mountains and explore the outdoors on our trip.
When we got back to the base Stefan made sure we got some hot coffee to warm up from the chilly Iceland winter.
Thank you Stefan and Safari Quads for a great experience!!

Very accommodating staff from the woman we booked with to the guides. We got the date wrong and showed up a day early but the woman (didn't get her name unfortunately) for us in to another group. Amazingly fun afternoon riding UTVs with Sir Kaktuz. We had a small group of experienced drivers so got to drive at a fun speedy pace. So much gorgeous scenery and experienced it in a way I wouldn't have been able to.

This was actually the first time I ever rode an ATV. Lisa was an amazing tour guide, and I became more confident traversing through the snow towards the end thanks to her. She’s very friendly and relatable. I’ll also note how stunning the views were. Thank you again for the great experience.

Such a fun tour and a very different et way to see the countryside around Reykjavik. When the tour says 2 hours, it means 2 hours out on the bike, gearing up and safety lessons are outside this time which was an unexpected bonus. The guide was friendly and helpful and they keep the group together without rushing anyone. Most of the tour was off road which i loved. 10/10 would do again if I ever go back to Iceland.

Great experience! Lisa was our guide and was super knowledgeable. I have never driven through snow and ice before and felt comfortable after a couple minutes into it. If you do go off the course just make sure it’s not right into any trees or down the side of a mountain.

Thank you for the awesome review! We’re so glad to hear you had a great experience, and that Lisa made you feel comfortable even while driving through snow and ice for the first time! 😊
And yes, sticking to the course is always a good idea—definitely helps avoid any unexpected detours into trees or down mountains! 😄
We’re so happy you enjoyed the ride, and we hope to welcome you back for more adventures soon! Thanks again! 🚙❄️

This was an awesome experience. My boyfriend and I took part in this experience in December so it was reallyyyy cold. However, it was still really fun. Driving out in the hills and seeing different scenery within Reykjavik was amazing with the snow glistening in the background. Our tour guides were fun and checked in on everyone constantly. I would recommend doing this tour!
