I travel a lot but this is the first time I've ever taken a tour bus.

The tour guide, Monika, was so good at telling us the history and the context behind what we were seeing, and was a mine of information telling us about everything from how long it takes the moss to grow over the lava fields to how Led Zeppelin wrote one of their songs in Iceland (related: her playlist rocked too!).

The tour itself was fantastic. We got to see the geyser at Geysír, the tectonic rift at Þingvellír, the waterfall at Gulfoss, and the extinct volcano which is now a lake at Kerið. Never felt hurried at any point and had plenty of time to explore and enjoy the sights at all of them.

Because the weather was good and the traffic was light, we also got no fewer than four bonus stops at various places, which was fantastic and added real value to a tour which at just €65 for pretty much a full day (picked up before 11am and landed back into Reykjavík about 6.30pm) was already excellent value.

For most people, Iceland will be a once in a lifetime trip. This tour is well worth taking to enhance that experience. I'm glad I did.

Thanks Monika, and Tomek the driver, for a day which will live long in the memory!

Matt the tour guide and Michael the bus driver are amazing! They are friendly and helpful, the tour was amazing, so much fun and very informative. We had a slight detour due to road works but it didn't matter it was handled so well and we got to see so much. We loved the way Matt handled the group making sure everyone saw as much as possible and sharing so much knowledge. Michael made everyone feel so safe with his careful and confident driving. These two are the reason I'd recommend this tour and company to anyone, if this is a reflection of how your other tours are then I'll be back for more 100%. Thank you for a great

The guide is very friendly as any Icelandic people we have met.

We are able to see 4 attractions in one day with sufficient time to take some photos and walk around.

The price is very good as well!

I will definitely recommend this tour :)

A truly fascinating tour that includes some of the most wonderful sights around Reykjavik: Gulfoss, Thingvellir and the Kerid crater. It's now been two months since our trip to Iceland, and we still can't stop thinking about these places.
The tour is perfectly planned and organized (as everything else with BusTravel during our week in Iceland).
Our guide Hendrick was very friendly and helpful.

Through the swirling snowflakes and biting wind appeared a beautiful white coach, bang on time. A mystical bearded man descended the steps and welcomed us warmly aboard. The bus continued picking up passengers until all seats were occupied and our journey began. The mystical Viking was Hauser, a very knowledgeable chap with a wonderfully hypnotic voice. The roads were treacherous but our driver ( whose name we could not quite make out but believe it to be Biscuit ) navigated us with skill and safety as numerous other vehicles were stuck in ditches. For the next 7 hours we travelled around taking in the exquisite sights on this unique island. Hauser filled our heads with facts and figures and stories and fables and even sang us an Icelandic ditty. What a hugely enjoyable trip taking in geysers, waterfalls, craters and tectonic plates. As the coach dropped us off back in downtown Reykjavik, Hauser wished us farewell and magically disappeared into a snowstorm. Was he real or was it all a dream ? There is only one way you will find out.

We made a stop in Iceland flying from England to the USA. We had no idea what to expect. So we did some reading and signed up for this tour. It was beyond our expectations. We were not overly impressed by Iceland, its prices or the weather, but this tour was awesome. The guide was excellent. The bus was comfortable and not crowded. The sites were fabulous. Couldn't have been better.

The tour guide was lovely, knowledgeable and very considerate! He made additional stops to a pony farm and a second waterfall as there were kids on the tour who missed out on the main waterfall stop as it was too windy!
