Southern Iceland Glaciers, Waterfalls and Beaches Day Tour
From $99.90
Overview
Most visitors to Iceland concentrate on the Golden Circle, often missing out on the impressive south coast. This full-day tour from Reykjavik is a fuss-free way around the south coast’s attractions, and a convenient alternative to exploring independently. You visit must-sees such as Reynisfja beach and the Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Plus, enjoy background on the sights from a guide, and air-conditioned hotel and port transfers in Reykjavik.
What to Expect
After hotel or cruise port pickup in Reykjavik, settle aboard an air-conditioned bus and travel to Iceland’s south coast, famous for its natural beauty.

Head for the small village of Vik, known for its stellar sea views, and walk on the black sands of Reynisfjara beach, admiring its basalt-column cliffs.

Next, continue to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Take in the beauty of the fall and walk behind the cascade to Skogafoss, whose waters plunge down a 197-foot (60-meter) drop. Make the most of the many photo ops as the falls and scenery promise some stunning shots.

Finally, take a short walk to the glacier edge of Solheimajokull, a sublet glacier of Myrdalsjokull. The glaciers are constantly moving, and make some of Iceland’s most incredible sights.

Marvel at the sizes of the glaciers before your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel or another, central location in Reykjavik.

Fantastic day

We went out on a tour today with Matt as our tour guide and Magic as our driver. I cannot say enough great things about the two of them. We drove out in snow and back in extreme fog and magic maneuvered it extremely well,...More

Excellent staff

We were lucky in that we had great weather. The views were spectacular. Very little time was allocated at each stop, but this was necessary to fit it all in. Well worth a visit.

My Favorite Tour of our 6 Day Visit

Definitely my favorite tour - very informative, light, and funny. Each stop was an adventure. Matt (guide) and Lucasz (driver) were incredible from start to finish. We would 100% do it again, even during the same season :) My only suggestion would be to add...More

Definitely more time in the bus than walking. But I think it's good to see the glaciers, waterfalls and black sand beach. But there's a fair distance between each, hence more time traveling than sightseeing.
