Hear fun behind-the-scenes info about the TV series from your guide as you go, and see Thingvellir National Park, along with a couple of locations unique to this particular tour. Plus, round-trip transport from Reykjavik in a climate-controlled van takes away the stress of planning out rides beforehand.

Really enjoyed this tour, a full day out and some stunning locations. We was picked up from our hotel by a mini bus and taken close by and transferred on to the main coach. The first stop is a nearby stable that some of the shows horses had been used. The guide provided lots of interesting inside information and the horses was friendly and got some great pictures. We then moved on to where a dragon scene was filmed and the scenery was amazing. The guide explained a lot of interesting facts and we was shown real life pictures of the scenes to match with the location. We moved on to a number of other film locations, the scenery really is amazing although we didn’t see any locations where any main shots had been filmed. Saying that I really enjoyed the day, the guide was brilliant and you really see a lot of great locations. We had taken the golden circle tour the day before and I was concerned it would clash with the Got tour, which it did not at all. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to grab some stunning pictures and have an interest in the show!

Dee Dee is the best tour guide ever! She's very entertaining and you could tell she's a big fan of Game of Thrones, and has so much energy throughout the day. She's very knowledgeable as well about rocks, farming, and Viking sagas/Norse mythology! I really enjoyed listening to her. The tour was amazing and took us to places where there weren't many people.

Game of thrones tour. 18th February 2020.
I was a little skeptical about this tour as I love GOT, fantasy and science fiction but hadn't done a location tour before. This was booked through a package which I didn't get to pick. The day started quietly and built from there to a crescendo of superb guiding. Our guide and driver were brilliant. Frodi and Fannar, though grayline assure me that they call him Frodo! This tour could also be called the geology and history tour as what the guide doesn't know isn't worth knowing. He was excellent! You see sites used in GOT, the horse farm where the horses were from in season 3+ but it is so much more than this. You hear about the landscape of Iceland, the history and why the country is as it is. This tour takes you away from the traditional tours and we saw far less people than on other tours. You don't do loads of walking but do wrap up warm for the story telling parts which are superb. Embrace the nature of the day and you will really enjoy it. If you are a geology geek you would love this to. You do stop at a small cafe for lunch which did a great lamb soup, hot dogs etc but if you're a veggie like me they do have good cakes but bring your own sandwiches. It was a fantastic day!

Tour was very long; no air in the overheated bus was making everyone sitting in the back nauseous. Our guide was lacking energy overall and told very boring stories... we haven’t seen one person around us smile all day and we honestly counted minutes to get back to our hotel. Lunch stop was at a mediocre place that was more of a limited grocery store. Nature of Iceland was the only highlight but for the price this tour costs, I won’t recommend it.

My friend is a huge fan of game of thrones and I have never seen it. But this tour was still great for both of us. We saw so many incredible things. Dee Dee (our lovely tour guide) was so friendly and sweet. She was always willing to answer questions and she cracked jokes left and right. I defiantly recommend this tour, even if you haven’t seen game of thrones (although this tour has inspired me to watch the show now!!) 10/10 would do again!

Thank you Navigate14270428502 for your very kind words of compliments. We are very happy that your Dee Dee was your guide and sent her your message. The sites visited are also some of our best loved nature site, no wonder it was selected for the filming although some of them are away from the beaten track and other angles seen. Now you can start watching the series and hopefully notice the Iceland locations that you have visited Best regards Gray Line Iceland customer service crew

Our tour guide was great! He shared lots of great info on the show and on Iceland in general. They even added a couple extra stops that were nearby. I do wish we would have gone in the summer - the locations would have looked more like the show scenes and we could have gone into the Viking building reconstruction. Still really cool.
