Please note that we share the office building with North Sailing. The meeting time is no later than 30min before the tour departure!

Fantastic trip - we did the "whale and puffin" rib tour (although the website made it clear we were too late in the year for puffins, so we got more time with the whales instead). We saw three different whales, and got multiple viewings of some of them, which was amazing. Our guide was brilliant at explaining the whale behaviours and keeping us updated on their plans to maximise our chances of a sighting and I would highly recommend the rib boat over the bigger vessels. We were the first ones there every time the whales surfaced, and because there were only 12 people in the boat we got a really good view of each whale. When we boarded the guide explained it didn't matter where you sat as the boat would turn sideways so everyone could see, and she was absolutely correct - no problems at all getting a good view, and some lovely photos to remember them by.

We are very happy to hear that you learned a lot from our guide about whales and their behaviour, most of our crew are trained marine biologists and very passionate about marine life.

I'd recommend getting a balaclava or something to protect the face, since although weather is nice it can get super windy during the ride especially in the fort. These guys are amazing, the rib boat was super well made and seating was very comfortable. We were mesmerised seeing the whales and the landscape, an epic trip to remember.

Incredible. Just incredible. There was about four different humpback whales in the bay. We got incredibly close. The host was excellent, we were all well wrapped up with waterproof over clothes.
I was phoned the day before to say that the earlier trip (we had booked for the morning) wasn’t running but would we be able to do the 1pm instead, no problem. We were out for about two hours.
Don’t forget to visit the whale museum nearby, there’s a discount, and the restaurant opposite, also a discount and the geothermal pools up the hill, also a discount as part of the ticket.

First of all, we apologize for having rescheduled your reservation, but unfortunately, we did not have enough passengers for it. Sometimes happens by the end of the season.
However, as I can read from you, it seems it was totally worth the wait! We can promise that having four difference humpback whales around by end of the season is certainly not common :)
Geosea, Gamli Baukur and the Husavik Whale Museum are definitely a must visit in town, and always good to use our discounts!

It was a fantastic trip, the guy at the desk told us the whales were not out much today so i wasnt expecting to see any, but thought it would be a nice day out anyway. The boat was the best, seats were 2x2 so with no middle seat and only 12 on the boat, jostling for views was kept to a minimum. The seats were very comfy. We saw a shoal of pilot whales with excellent views ! We followed them for a bit but the guide was also very respectful of the whales not to go too close which was really nice too. Really amazing day, you also get 10% discount off local businesses with your ticket so afterwards we went to gamli baukar and had fish soup and seafood tagliatelle, another to highly recommend. If you are thinking about booking with this company..stop and just do it! :)

We do prioritize the safety and comfort of the animals and try to keep respectful distance. The whales come to the bay to feed and build up resources for the summer, when they don´t eat for up to 6 months. Therefore, it is important for us not to disturb them with our presence. We are very happy to hear that you understand and appreciate our approach.

What a nice trip! We’ve seen a family of dolphins, which kept jumping out of the water surface when we approached. And there were two or three whales who showed their big tales when they diving. This trip wasn’t as bumpy as I thought it would be, the boat was really fast and steady.

We drove up to Husavik exclusively to do the whale tour . We were not disappointed. The tour company took good care of us, everyone was given a snowmobile suit to wear over their clothing for the trip. The lady announcing the tour did a great job explaining the behavior of the hump back whales. We had to go out quite far to see the whales, and we were lucky enough to see 3 humpbacks.

One of the best tours I've been on! Very quickly after leaving the harbor we spotted a breaching humpback whale and managed to get pretty close to admire the show! The captain did an amazing job getting us close to the animal but also respecting the whale's personal space. The guide Laura was very professional and knowledge, she had no problem answering any of our questions. She spent a lot of time telling us about the whales and the area which made the tour so much better as we learned about the dynamics of the bay. Would definitely recommend the company, if you are ever in Husavik make sure to join one of their trips!

The 2h tour was absoluetly amazing! Daniel and Robert (our guides) spotted the whales very well and also gave some very interesting information about the sealife in Iceland while waiting for the whales to come up again. It was truly a special tour that was worth every penny. Also they extended our trip a bit so that we could enjoy another whale that came to the surface on our way back. :-)

We recommend to book this activity with HúsavÃk Adventures as they use speed boats for trips so captain is able to react more quickly and go further on open sea than big boats during the trip. Moreover the group includes only 12 passengers at maximum.
During the trip we saw several dolphins but unfortunately no whales. But this is a wild nature so even if you see no animals, the trip on the speed boat is worth it!
We got a warm water-resistant overall suit and a life vest.
Our guide was very friendly.

It is true that speed boats manage to cover more distances than other slower boats, and sometimes that really makes a difference!
Unfortunately, some days we do not have that many whales vising the bay, but dolphins are always fun to watch :)

We a family of 5, went on a rib boat tour yesterday, amazing tour. We saw some Humpbacks and dolphins playing in Skjálfandi bay. It was a great experience. Both the captain and the guide were great and we stayed a bit longer to watch the dolphins play with the Humpback. Would definately recommend this tour.
