I just had my Porvoo (Finland) tour today , October 8, 2024. My tour guide, Darius (Other Way Travel) is very knowledgeable about Finland esp Porvoo. He explained and made it easier for me to understand the history of beautiful Porvoo , as well as Finland as a whole . You should book this experience coz it’s worth your time and money! Excellent trip to the small town of Porvoo which is beautiful, but the best part of the trip was our guide Darius talking about all things Finnish. It's History, language culture and community values. We learnt so much from him on our drive to and from Porvoo. He also has a great amount of knowledge about the history of Porvoo. Definitely try the coffee and cake at the shop he will take you to, delicious. Highly recommended tour, thank you Darius.

We had an excellent two days of touring with Darius. Our first day was 4.5 hours walking through central Helsinki. There is a lot to see and learn. We were really impressed with the city. On our second tour, Darius drove us to Porvoo which is a completely different experience - giving us a chance to see the countryside and to visit the UNESCO site of Porvoo. Darius was thoughtful, professional, interesting and easy to talk to. It's always great to work with someone who is self-employed and takes his work seriously and enjoys what he or she does for a living.

This tour includes a very pretty 40 minute drive through the countryside while your guide provides lots of interesting information about the country, the history, important events etc. Porvoo itself is a beautiful town and the guided walk is interesting and very informative. We were very fortunate to have Darius as our guide - he was definitely one of the most knowledgeable and interesting guides that we have met during our travels around Europe.

Our guide Darius was absolutely fantastic: clear, fun, and filled with information and great tips (the coffee and cake he recommended in Porvoo were delicious). We got a wonderful tour of the old town of Porvoo and along the way, heard about the history of Finland that allowed us to put the whole experience in context. This tour was a highlight of our trip. I cannot recommend him highly enough. A great experience!

Great tour! Darius gave us a lot of history and the town is charming. It was nice to see more of Finland. The old houses were fantastic.

Peter did a great job of making all 3 of us feel welcome. With such a small group, we all got a ton of questions answered. Porvoo is amazing and I am glad I had a guide to explain its history.

This tour books up very early but thankfully I communicated with Darius and he was able to arrange the tour for us in the afternoon of July 9th. The guide, Peter was great! He picked us up on time from Oodi and drove us to Porvoo, all along the way giving us insight into Helsinki, Finnish culture and history. Peter has a passion for Finland and after our stay there we totally understand the special attributes of Finland. In Porvoo, we were able to see all the sites of this beautiful old town, the church, forest area, little shops, picturesque views and, chocolate store where we bought chocolate and licorice and finally, we were able to try some Runeberg cake and coffee with Peter. This was a great afternoon. It is difficult to find availability for this tour so be sure to contact Darius directly and hopefully he will be able to make arrangements as you will not want to miss this tour and Porvoo.

Darius was a great guide and shared such insightful details about Porvoo and its history and culture. He was very generous about sharing details into the history and culture of Finland too! I really enjoyed his attention to detail such as the start of the tour when we walked to this vantage point to see the town from the top. I highly recommend this as you won’t know anything about Porvoo if you went without a guide.

Our tour guide Darius was amazing. Personally, I have been to Helsinki and Porvoo before and have taken a tour, but Darius’ tour greatly exceeded my past experience with a different tour provider. Darius gave a great tour of Porvoo. The pace was good, he clearly knew many locals as he was waving to people the whole time, and the stops were a good amount of time. But the tour was more than just sightseeing. He had an incredible wealth of knowledge about not just Porvoo, but also Finnish culture. His narration really enhanced the experience. Would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone looking for a day trip out of Helsinki. One of the best tours I have ever taken.

One of the best tours I have been on. One 3 people this early in the season. The guide, Darius, was so knowledgeable, I loved listening to him talk about the Finnish people and their country. Highly recommend. Picked and dropped back at my hotel.

I was looking for a tour to spend my layover time in Helsinki and chose Darius as he had the best price for it. He picked me up from the airport and took me to the city centre where he showed me the main attractions. He is extremely knowledgeable, and knows everything about Finnish history from centuries ago till today. Also he told me a lot of things about the culture and the way of life of Finnish people which was very interesting. I would definitely recommend him !!

Darius was a fantastic tour guide for Porvoo. He picked me up near my AirBnB, so I didn't need to worry about transportation. There was only one other person on this tour, which made for a very intimate experience. Throughout the drive to Porvoo and on the ~3 hour tour, Darius provided an extremely detailed history of Finland, Helsinki, Porvoo, and any other topic we had questions about. We strolled through the city, stopping at a coffee shop for some Runeberg torte and the Brunberg factory shop for some chocolates. Darius was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Would recommend for a quick day trip outside of Helsinki!

Darius was our guide and did an excellent job. He picked us up at our hotel and during the 45 minute drive to Porvoo, never stopped talking. He gave us great history of Finland and the area we would be seeing. In Porvoo, he again gave us lots of info on the city. We walked through the city at a leisurely pace, with a rest stop at a cafe/bakery. Total time spent in Porvoo was about 2.5 hours. Never rushed, always informative. Delivered us back to our hotel and offered to drop us off anywhere else, if we wished.
