Great service & staff ♥️ We enjoyed both the food and the scenery, I'd recommend to all Helsinki visitors and locals too.

I am a well travelled senior solo traveller.I went on the sightseeing boat trip on afternoon Sunday 16 th September. 2023. The boat was not busy. The woman crew member/ took everyone’s drink and food order apart from myself(this was not a problem for me) I went up to the bar and pleasantly asked if it was self service. This woman server went ballistic! She said she had not seen me, and anyway as I was only requesting a small glass of wine I was not important! I did say that her behaviour was unacceptable.She spent the rest of the trip sniggering with her fellow members and pointing me out. I believe Royal Line also run the Hop On hop off bus, so seem to have a monopoly on many tours. For reference this woman appeared to be of Filipino origin, middle aged with blond streaks in her pony tail. I did write to Royal Line who acknowledged my Email and said they would get back to me. However they did not respond further. It seem Royal Line put profits before any complaints. I felt distressed and humiliated. I also sent a copy of events to Helsinki Tourist board, no response from them!! This does not bode well for travellers to your beautiful city.

Very nice experience. Everything went smoothly from check-in to dining. We had Daisy as our waitress - she was really nice and helpful. Food was good. Restaurant was half full, so it made experience better I think.

We booked a dinner cruise. They charged us almost double the price of the internet. On the menu the price is completely different from the internet. Lack of transparency .

I had a full week in the local area with work, and given this was my last night my colleagues thought this would be a nice change. Firstly the staff, extremely friendly and helpful and although the tour was busy, especially as we we're having a meal,did their very best to make the journey and experience enjoyable. The food was a little hit and miss,the buffet was tasty with a good selection, the meat course I selected was a little disappointing, but again understand the limitations of the facilities and setting. The actual tour and site seeing was great from the top deck, a steady cruise around the islands in the evening sun made a fantastic end to a long week. In all an enjoyable few hours.

There are many cruise lines arranging cruises from Helsinki Market Square. We chose the Royal Line because they have a new ship m/s Helsinki. The price was 49 euros per person including the 2½-hour cruise and food. There is a starter buffet, the main course and dessert are ordered a la carte. It was very pleasant to eat while watching the changing scenery. There is also a sundeck. On our cruise, there was no sunset because of cloudy weather. However, that was replaced by a DC-3 plane coming back from the Kauhava Air Show and flying past the cupolas of Uspenski Cathedral. The service on board was friendly and efficient. To get a good table, it is advisable to prebook the cruise by email.

Definitely recommend this family-run cruise. We took the 90-minute cruise at lunchtime and paid extra for the delicious lunch buffet. Great service and excellent commentary in three languages.

We did a dinner cruise and loved the views (Eastern route). The starter and the dessert was great but the main course, what a disaster. The meat did not come in the requested ways, medium, rare etc and once complained we got new meals but with a huge delay. The fish did not taste like anything and was not cooked long enough. Royal line really needs to put more effort into the kitchen area.

I decided on the one and a half hour sightseeing cruise for €24 The weather was sunny and warm with a strong breeze, I noticed blankets were supplied which I thought was a nice touch. On board the boat has a cafe, toilets and plenty of seating both outside and inside. The trip itself was interesting and covered many of the local islands and landmarks such as Suomelinna Sea Fortress (you cannot get off of the boat) Harakka Island and many more. There is a commentary with many interesting stories in Finnish and English. Overall I enjoyed the cruise I have based my score on the fact that I thought €24 was on the expensive side. That aside I would still recommend it and would probably do it again myself.

I had a business lunch while sailing around in the archipelago. The food was okay and plentiful and in combination with the tour it made it a very good experience and opportunity to see parts of Helsinki one wouldn’t normally see.

I took this cruise with my colleagues and we had the whole ship to ourselves. There was also a buffet dinner for us, which was nothing very special, just ok. Unfortunately the weather was cloudy, but no rain at least. This cruise is a nice way to see Helsinki by the sea!

We were day trippers to Helsinki and decided to take this tour. It did not disappoint .We wanted to get an overview of Helsinki The tour takes 1,5 hours and shows you all the main attractions and the history of each island. It was a beautiful sunny day and it added to our experience. Worth doing and would recommend

We were so pleased we booked the 2.5 hour sunset cruise around the islands. The food served was absolutely delicious and it was a great way to see sights from the water. We had a recorded commentary which was informative.. as stated in previous reviews the only negative is that it wasn’t very easy to hear from the speaker. Putting that aside everything else made it a perfect evening. Thanks for a lovely tour.

Went on a trip with the Finish part of the family and we where not impressed with the food. Most of us had the buffet combined with a main dish and a dessert and to be honest the main dish was a disappointment. Even though we ordered the same food the amount of meat on the plates was not the same - some got a very small portion. The blueberry cake was also a disappointment tasted like it was a frozen cake heated for the meal - and it was not good. All in all don’t take the trip and order the food you can not hear the announcements anyhow due to the noice of the boat

We bought a combination ticket with the Hop on Hop Off Bus, so the sightseeing trip with Roal Line then only costed EUR 5. We had a very nice boat trip around Baltic Sea in a trip they call Historical Helsinki. Even full price for this trip is a good deal. Even with nice weather it can be wise to bring a coat or sweather since it's always a bit colder at sea. The boat served beer, wine and food 👍
