Valuable experience with Anna and Mike. We stayed just 3 days in Helsinki and choosing this tour was a great idea. We've seen a lot of interesting places in town (some hidden and less known places) and even the small town Porvoo, at some distance. I don't want to spoil with too many details about the places we've visited. Anna and Mike where very knowledgeable and kind, they share a lot of information. We will for sure take another tour when we'll go again to Helsinki. Having a private tour with them was a pleasant experience.

So among the interesting snippets of information we hear from Mike & Anna during the most delightful day we spent with them being introduced to Helsinki and Porvoo is that Finland tops the chart of the "happiest country on earth". Hard to judge from a visit to Finland that was too short, but we can for sure say that if you're looking for the best private, tailor made tour of Helsinki look no further than Go Tours Helsinki. I'm sure that all of their team is great, but we were lucky to get Mike & Anna themselves who provided a wonderful perspective of Helsinki in particular and Finland in general. We all ended the day with a great dinner in the former mansion Haikon Kartano in Porvoo and can definitely recommend that if your itinerary includes the town

We had a great day tour of Helsinki and Parvoo. We learned the history much about the history and culture of the Finnish people, as well as an nice over view of the city of Helsinki, from its amazing library, to it beautiful shoreline. Anna and Mike were both warm, and enthusiastic. We had not planned on initially going to Parvoo, but they suggested it (even though it lengthened the tour for them), and what a picturesque city it was. All in all a great day, and I would highly recommend them-thanks again guys!

Our guide, Michael, met us promptly at the meeting point. He even called us the night before to confirm the tour. He is originally from Scotland and shares his passion for his adopted country of Finland. Not only is he informative about the architecture and local sites, he offers good insight into the current culture and politics of Finland. Very conscientious and thoughtful guide. We were well taken care of. He even went out of his way after the tour to help us find a taxi and waited with us until we got into the taxi and he had given directions to our driver.

Mike Scott is a wonderful and attentive tour guide. He communicated with me from the first day I booked the tour. I appreciated that communication very much since I was in a different country and had never used Tours by Locals before. Mike picked us up at our ship exactly where he said he'd be. His van was clean, spacious and full of goodies. One of our travelers is handicapped and had trouble getting in but Mike was kind and considerate and made her feel secure and comfortable. Mike had the entire day planned out so I knew he had done his homework I had a time and I felt very comfortable and his knowledge of the area. He created a truly finish experience for the four of us. We had a wonderful and delicious finish lunch on a picnic table near the lake. I couldn’t of asked for a nicer day. We did not want to leave. I highly recommend him.

This was our only day in Helsinki so we wanted to get the best of our day. And goodness, we could not have asked for anyone better. A team of two guides Anna and Mike, tailored the tour to our group. We had some very specific requests (visiting a street that my friend used to live in and also a church where my grandfather was born) which were catered for and organised logically into the tour schedule. Nothing was too much trouble. The guides were engaging and had a very good knowledge of what they do. The minibus was clean and comfortable, and they even had bottles of water for our group and a phone charger. Mike is a careful driver which is important to us. I whole-heartedly recommend this tour, they will give you a guiding experience that will create memories for a long time. Thank you Anna and Mike.

Mike and Anna organized a truly wonderful day for our group that begin in Helsinki and then took us for the afternoon to the small medieval town of Porvoo. They were a lovely couple and each had unique perspectives that made our day truly special. They also took us to some off the beaten path places that we would have never seen on a large ":cattle call" tour. We also really enjoyed our time in the local artisan market on the waterfront in Helsinki as well as the cinnamon buns and coffee in a local cafe. Because of their charm, great personality and knowledge - this ended up being one of my favorite stops on our Baltic Cruise. If you go to Helsinki - you must book with Mike and Anna!

Our tour with Mike and Anna was short of amazing. Both of them were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and engaging in our tour of Helsinki. We were lucky of have had them as our guides. A short ride around the city and walking through the market was perfect. They took us to a local coffee shop known for their cinnamon buns (very delicious). Then a short drive to Porvoo to walk around the old city and see the local shops. We laughed and had a great time with them. I would HIGHLY recommend Mike and Anna to anyone visiting Helsinki/Porvoo. They were a highlight of our overall trip and we left as friends. Hopefully we will meet up again in the future. Lovely time with a lovely couple.

What a wonderful day we had with Mike and Anna. It could not have been better. They were fun, very enthusiastic, knowledgeable & most flexible about the itinerary. This was a wonderful tour which the four of us really enjoyed. Mike and Anna were delightful, they planned a wonderful day with a mix of sightseeing, history, and architecture. They shared their love of the local culture, food and favorite places in Helsinki with us. We had a picnic lunch by the ocean that was filled with interesting area food which were delicious! We highly recommend Anna and Mike for the perfect day in Helsinki!

Anna is an absolutely fantastic guide who we would strongly recommend. Our family of 5 was on a cruise that took us to Helsinki for a day. Anna was easy to work with in developing an itinerary that met our interests - she was very responsive and flexible. The tour itself was amazing, we had a great time with Anna and felt we were more with a friend than just a guide. We visited Helsinki city centre, Porvoo and a sauna on a lake in the countryside. Definitely give Anna a try, you won't be disappointed!

Our family of 5 did a private tour with Anna and Mike while we were in Helsinki for the day as part of a cruise. We had 8 hours and used every minute of them to visit Helsinki’s city centre, Porvoo and experience a traditional Finnish sauna in the country - where we were able to jump into a beautiful lake after enjoying the hot sauna. Spending the day with Anna and Mike was more like being with friends than just tour guides, they were very informative not just about the sites but also about specific things we expressed an interest in - like coffee, chocolate (lots of lactose free options in Finland!) and some unique things my wife wanted to purchase. Anna is also an amazing photographer, we left with many great shots of the family in the different areas we were able to visit. A wonderful experience in every respect and I would highly recommend Anna and Mike without hesitation to anyone!

We took a full day tour of Helsinki with Mike and Maria. We were 4 adults and 3 kids. MIke and Maria did an amazing job keeping everyone happy. They worked with me ahead of time to finalize an itinerary, gave the adults lots of great information about finnish culture and history, and kept the kids happy by picking stops and activities that they would love. We finished off a wonderful day learning a finnish game (Molkky) and made it to our cruise ship in time to sail away to the next destination. Professional, well planned and informative day, perfect for adults and kids. Highly recommended.

Our guide Erin was a dream! I was so happily surprised with the tour of Helsinki architecture. Not only was our experience educational but engaging and entertaining too. My mother and I took the tour worried she might get tired but felt the tour was well paced and with a nice snack break in the middle to also see an interesting interior. I would recommend this tour for anyone interested in art, architecture or history who’s looking for a special experience of Helsinki off the beaten path.
