About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 110gpp0 contributionsto improve!I would not let my children do the Elf Hat Academy experience again. You come from far away, you participate once in your life and that time and the choice of an activity that will become a brick of memory have enormous value. 30 minutes in reality were maybe 20 in which you eat a cookie and a hat is given in the general acting. Half arrived at the meeting point late (lots of people not expected, we understand but they also finished earlier), everyone smiley and nice of course but I just want to be honest and not worth the money I would say. In short, a disappointing experience, for a family that loves Christmas, the spirit and magic of the Christmas season and who had already come 15 years ago, without children and dreamed this experience. Review with the aim of saving the season for you, which I hope will help the quality of the service. we will come back for sure because after all we loved Finland, its people and the way you rules it!Written November 4, 2024
- fakeyf20240 contributionsAnything but interactiveWe paid 40e per peson for literally 20mins of simple cookie decorations in complete silence (luckily the radio was on all the time). The elf maybe said 5 sentences in total while glancing at the script at the begining and taught us 5 words in finnish (that we already knew, my kids are Finnish). There was no dancing, no singing at all. At the end of the cookie decoration she gave us simple elf hats and blank diplomas, so we can write our names and take them home... Definitely do not recommend.Written October 28, 2024
- 670nike0 contributionsWorthwhile Package- even in SeptemberWe went in September when you don’t get to do the sleigh/sled rides (so it was a little pricey without them) However, our guide Egor was very accommodating and enjoyable and gave us a few very good tips about things to experience during our visits. Highly recommend for the ease of access at the stops and having him get you to the best places at the best times.Written September 15, 2024
- Jennifer J0 contributionsAmethyst Mine Tour June 2024.This was a fun activity for everyone. The guides were helpful and informative. It would have been nice to have a bit more time, but it was worthwhile to experience.Written June 19, 2024
- lestravelstheworld0 contributionsReindeer fun!The reindeer farm was so much fun! Loved the ride, but wish it was longer. Loved being able to pet the reindeer. We learned all about the beautiful reindeer.Written April 6, 2024
- bentA8967VN0 contributionsGreat guideThe weather was cloudy and it was impossible to see the Northern Lights, our guide made sure we were well taken care of and shared some of his experience in Finland. Overall, the trip was enjoyable.Written March 31, 2024
- Daydream619006458080 contributionsCombination of several fun thingsA fun afternoon that combined a lot of activities in a short period. Very nice guide and well-organized. You really just get a taste of each activity - which I appreciated. If you want a more intense adventure, this is not the trip for you.Written March 3, 2024
- danielebT8294QU0 contributionsExpensive for what you getVery expensive for a family: for a very short experience suitable for children also adult have to pay. You learn 3 words in finnish, you can decorate a cookie with frozen decorations that doesn't work and make a dance at 40 euros each.Written February 20, 2024

- 644anaflaviac0 contributionsPerfect tour!I really love this tour! I travelled with a baby (and, guys, it was too cold for a baby) and the team was so nice with us , everybody helped us a lot! They give us clothes for the activities. It was a really nice and beautiful tour!Written February 15, 2024
- 247asham0 contributionsSnowmobile great, everything else? Not worth it.This tour was nice enough, but for the price wasn’t ideal. Our guides were great, definitely couldn’t fault them. It was just the organisation that lacked a bit. We spent a lot of time just sitting and waiting around, no instruction, no options, just waiting, the tour could’ve been at least an hour or 90min shorter if the timing was bettered. The activities themselves: -The snowmobiling was great, an hour is a perfect amount of time and the scenery is beautiful. I’d definitely recommend doing a snow mobile tour with this company. 10/10 for that. -Huskies, the dogs were super sweet, but it is a rushed quick get on, go around once, pat dogs then wait for the other 50 people to do the same thing (50 might be an exaggeration, but there were definitely too many for the time slot which is why there was so much waiting around). There was no information on the huskies given, and it wasn’t a very enjoyable part of the tour. -Reindeer, same as huskies, quick on and off the sleigh and go wait in this cabin (granted, hot drinks and cookies by the fire was good as it was a chilling -23°C). There wasn’t any interaction with the reindeer. We did get information about them at this section though, so better than the husky experience. -Santa’s village, look, if you’re not obsessed with Christmas, this is just boring. It’s very expensive shopping only. 2hrs here is not needed, it takes 10-15min to wander the village. So unless you’re waiting in line for a €30 photo with Santa or getting lunch, it’s really not worth it. So, this tour was ok. But personally, I wouldn’t recommend it in its entirety, I’d stick with just snowmobiling here. Maybe if the number of participants is lower it’d be better? Just felt like a lot of money for a lot of sitting around.Written February 8, 2024
- rhollis19990 contributionsGreat price! This was great value for money compared to some of the more expensive ones. Had 30mins of driving each and a break in the middle to play with the snow.Written February 4, 2024
- aineo9510 contributionsExperience of a life timeThis was an experience of a lifetime. Was well worth the time and money. Our tour guides Lamjed (Dane) and Jack (Scouser) were amazing, they made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, they explained different ways they track the northen lights, they brought us to many different spots but the view on the frozen lake was breathtaking. Both of us had our drivers license with us so once we both filled in the paperwork we were allowed swap/take turns driving throughout the excursion. During our pit stop we stopped in a little hut where they made a fire, had a warm drink, cookies and marshmallows we could roast over the fire while waiting for a glimpse of the northen lights. Both the lads were full of chat and were very happy to share their experiences of being in Finland as neither are from there. They were happy to take photos of you and to even show you the best way to get the perfect photo on your phone. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is thinking of doing it, it’s a memory you will never forget.Written January 24, 2024
- MatthewSHughes20 contributionsExcellent experience worth every penny. Reindeer, Huskies & Snowmobiles in one go! One minor frustration.Wonderful trip, especially for those who are short on time or want to make their budget go further. All 3 main Lapland experiences in one excursion. We would absolutely do this again and would recommend to anybody else. Our pick-up location was the Rovaniemi City Office at 10:15 ... we left promptly with other groups on our tour by minivan to the Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park centre in Santa Village. We then got into our winter overalls which keep you very warm and dry. Boots, balaclavas & mittens are also available. The changing room is very small for the number of guests changing at any one time. You do have to squeeze past one another and find a spare corner of space to change. We were advised that we'd be doing Reindeers & Huskies first and snowmobile later. As we were two adults, we requested the Single Rider Supplement option for the snowmobiles and were reassured "Yes, sure, no problem. No need to pay now, we can arrange later.". Off we were whisked a further 10 mins away to the Reindeer & Husky farm. The scenery is spectacular. Everything you imagine of Lapland. The lap of the 500m reindeer loop takes around 4/5 minutes and is done is groups of c. 12 people (6 pairs). Other groups on other excursions will also be here at the same time so do be prepared to wait a short while. We needed around 6/7 reindeer loops to get through everyone in the group. This wasn't too much problem as we were admiring the scenery but do be prepared to wait. After reindeers its a short walk through the forest to the Huskies. There are a few pens with puppies you can see and stroke whilst you wait for your turn on the husky sled. This is done in just single pairs but takes only about 30 seconds to complete the full 800m loop. Very, very quick. We had already knew to expect this to be quick but hadn't quite anticipated how quick it would feel. After huskies we went into a hut for a talk with a local Sami reindeer herder and had some cookies and warm juice. All very nice and a pleasant experience. We were then taken back to the Santa Village location for snowmobiling. We were very quickly given our helmets and told to assemble out back ready to walk to the snowmobiles. When we arrived the vehicles are waiting for you. I asked about the "Single Rider" option I had been reassured on earlier and the guides said they had not been informed and it was no longer possible as the vehicles need to be warmed up before being taken out. No flexibility at this point and we had to settle for dual-rider. This was the only disappointment of the day but it did not detract from the experience. In total the journey to and from the stopping/driver change location is about 1 hour total. The scenery, especially near to the stop site is absolutely spectacular. You feel in complete wilderness. Nothing touristy or commercialised about it. After snowmobiling we were given a full 2 hours to explore Santa Village before our ride back to Rovaniemi which left on time. (We were waiting on another 2 late guests but one of the guides kindly found us a space in another vehicle). All in all - excellent trip that I'd absolutely do again. Very friendly and informative guides and efficient transfers. The only room for improvement would be to implement a more robust system to acknowledge guests who want to do single-rider on the snowmobiles, better staggered groups so less people are trying to change at any one time and a double-loop on the Husky sleds. Well deserved 4.5/5 stars! Great value for time and money.Written January 23, 2024

The tour was intense but it gives a great taste of Lapland in few hours. It all starts with snowmobile. After few instructions, you're ready to drive. It was actually our main transportation for the morning activities. We then visited a small reindeer farm where we experienced reindeer sledge driving and got our reindeer driver license. We then had a snack and hot berry juice around the hearth of a Kota. We then got back to the snowmobile park and left for the husky park. We had a fun time petting the dogs before a sledge ride. We finally got to Santa Claus village for lunch. Lunch was very good in Nova hotel. We then had some free time in the village. We even met Santa Claus. Very well organized.

We booked a day tour named ARCTIC CIRCLE HIGHLIGHTS FAMILY DAY BY MINIBUS with this tour operator and it was an amazing day. We were not a very big group, so we could enjoy our time with the reindeer, the Siberian huskies and at the Santa Claus Village near Romanievi. Our guide tour was very friendly and knowledgeable and the food provided (salmon soup) was delicious. Very highly recommended.
