Great experience from start to end. Our guides were great. We got outfitted with their warm gear and boots (they’ve got you covered), the crash course in how to dogsled was short and sweet but effective.

The ride itself was 90 minutes and awesome. I went solo (which had its own challenges as a first timer) but the guide helped me along in the two spots I was struggling.

The area and scenery and quite was spectacular. The working dogs exciting to watch and then pet and pat a bit after. We had a good session around a fire in the lodge at the end to ask questions Our guide was very knowledgable about all aspects of the life of a husky.

Definitely do this!

Can’t say enough great things about this experience. We did the “Call of the Wild” Husky Adventure, which included an hour and a half husky sled ride that covered 15 or 20 kilometers through beautiful forests and across frozen lakes. The staff is exceedingly nice, and each group of riders is accompanied by a guide on his/her own sled, and two staff members on a snowmobiles who monitor the group’s progress. After the ride, they let you interact with the dogs on your team, and some of the other dogs they are training. They offer the opportunity to buy a bag of treats for the dogs to give them after your ride – DO IT!!! When your ride is done, don’t just run off to the warming hut; stick around to give lots of love to the dogs who just dragged you around the frozen Lapland wilderness for an hour and a half and give them some treats. They told us that the dogs appreciate being thanked – this is their job and they take it very seriously. This was by far the best thing we did on our visit to Lapland, and one of the most fun experiences we’ve ever had in our lives. One word of caution: they assign two people per sled, one seated inside, the other standing on the back of the sled “driving”; being the driver is NOT a passive experience, it requires a certain amount of stamina, strength and energy, you are not simply “along for the ride” while driving. Aside from that, enjoy a very special, wonderful experience…

After snowmobiling, reindeer sled rides and a bonfire outing to see the northern lights, I was expecting the tour to be good - but wow was it awesome. Yana was outstanding-both as a guide and tutor of all things husky. The operation was seamless and everyone including the dogs were obviously well treated and loved their jobs! We didn’t expect to be the drivers-which was a fun surprise.

We booked the call of the morning safari with Bearhill huskies, and it was a great experience! Emily took amazing care of the whole group at all times and made everybody feel welcome and excited. She made the whole experience very exciting and enjoyable and her knowledge of the dogs and the environment was a plus. We are a family of 5 with small children and we all had a blast!!! I will remember this experience for ever. Beautiful surroundings and amazing dogs.

Bearhill is the best place to do a husky safari! We did the Call of the Wild Afternoon Safari and it was the highlight of our trip! Our guide was Laura and she gave thorough safety instructions on how to drive the sledge. Our daughters (8 and 9) rode in her sledge while the rest of the adults were paired up. The huskies were so excited to go - they kept barking with excitement and wanted to just run! We had an unseasonably warm day for the dogs (40 F) so they would eat snow and roll around in it during our break. We stopped half way through to switch drivers. They also turn around and look at you if you are not helping them kick going uphill or if you keep braking! You have to keep a safe distance between sledges and our team was really fast so we kept braking and they would turn around and look at us! It was so fun going through the forest and then on the frozen lake! It was truly an incredible experience! You also get to purchase dog treats ahead of time (5 Euro) so you can give your team treats after their hardwork! The dog are incredible sweet and smart! After the 90 minute sledding adventure, you gather around a fire and have hot berry juice and delicious cookies while Laura answers your questions! It was a magical day and such a treat to get to drive the sledge!

One of the top experiences in our 23 year long lives! They give you warm clothes to use, safety instructions and photograph opportunities during and after the safari. Staff is extremely nice and answers to your questions. The trail went on the lake, downhill and uphill in the forest for 1,5 hours. We were lucky to be there for a nice cold (-13 degrees) day.❄️ The most beautiful sunrise we've ever seen was the cherry on top! 😍

Awesome. We did the afternoon tour with a husky ride of 1.5h and it was unbelievable. And because it was so amazing, we booked a second tour in the morning hours two days later. It is not cheap but worth every cent.

In addition we recommend the snow shoe hike because the group gets company of some huskies that walk around and it makes fun to watch them or have them with you.

With did all of that with our kids (12 and 8 years old) who also loved these activities.

Just bring warm cloth you were below the article overalls provided by Bearhill. And enjoy...

We would like to do this every day.

I did the safari with my three friends and we all think it was a fantastic experience thanks to the dogs, beautiful scenery and people who work at Bearhill. We first came in contact with Bearhill before we booked the tour. One of my friends had had a nasty knee problem so we wanted to know if the ride would be suitable for her. I asked the sales team a dozen questions which Betty and Maija handled with great patience. Then when one of the payment links didn't work, they fixed it straight away. Before the safari, we got our winter outfit from Pawel and we had our gloves and hats checked. Then Kenneth gave us driving instructions. Although our group was quite big, 17 peolpe, the preparation went smoothly thanks to great organisation. Next, when half-way through we were changing places at the sled, Kenneth took pictures of us, a nice surprise! Along the way we were accompanied by 2 assistants who made sure we went the right way. After the safari, we had some time with the dogs which deserved every praise for the work they had done. Then I asked Kenneth a hundred questions and he patiently answered all of them. To sum up, the organisation of the tour was excellent and we felt very well taken care of before, during and after the safari. None of our four would hesitate to do it again.

Thank you so much for this great and very detailed review. How lovely that you remembered all the names of our staff helping you. Our great service starts with the office, through the cabin guide, to all the great workers outside with the dogs, and we are happy to hear, that you enjoyed and were well taken care of. Welcome back to Bearhill Husky anytime.

Very professional outfit. Everything was well organised from pick up to the event itself. The overalls and boots provided are great (even if you do feel a bit like Mr Michelin).
They know their dogs and the dogs are doing what they were born to do - and they love it! It takes less than a minute from the start to get used to the sled and after that it is just pure pleasure, through the trees and out on frozen lakes - and so quiet! Just the sound of the dogs and the sled running on the snow.
Highly recommended - particularly the long ride we did.

We enjoyed it so much. Very well organized, very professional and extremely friendly guides, and fabulous explanations given by the leader of our group. We learnt a lot, the experience is one that we will never forget, and we can only recommend it. We left happy, convinced that the dogs are the top priority there, and live a happy life there. We had -24°C but they provided us with good winter over clothes to avoid that the experience could be spoilt by the cold winter. One of the top experiences in our fifties!!
