- karim k0 contributionsFantastic week!!We were fully accompanied by the crew of LaplandWelcome for the complete week of our stay in Lapland. We are a family of 5 and have been planning and preparing for this trip for a full year! We got our week planner. Full of activities. We were picked up from the Airport and brought back to the Airport. We did not have to worry about anything. Our activities were Santa Village Snowmobile excursion with a BBq in a teepee. Auroas Borealis watch with dinner. (The absolute gem of the trip can not find words to describe) Day hike along the frozen Waterfalls Visit to Reindeer and Husky farms Visit to the Arctic Snow Hotel Ice Karting Skiing in floodlights slopes A very warm and cozy Christmas Eve. It was perfect. We really thank the whole team. They were out and above to help us and make our week memorable. Super special thanks to Nana, she took us to Santa village, Reeta for the absolute incredible hike to the waterfalls and sharing with us life in Lapland. Alex that helped resolve all transportation problems that appeared. And Oli our driver for several of the trips. An absolute lifetime memory. Thank you! Karim, Gisele and the boys.Written January 12, 2025
- bsaswata0 contributionsFrozen Moments: An Unforgettable Ice Fishing Adventure in LaplandThe ice fishing trip with **Lapland Welcome** in Rovaniemi was absolutely incredible! 🎣❄️ From the warm welcome to the expert guidance, everything was perfectly organized. Drilling through the ice on a stunning frozen lake surrounded by snowy landscapes was both thrilling and peaceful. 🌨️✨ The guide’s knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience fun and engaging, even for beginners. A highlight was gathering around a fire for a cozy barbecue with tasty local snacks—such a memorable touch! 🔥🍴 The provided thermal gear kept us warm, and the three-hour duration was just right. Whether you catch a fish or not (we were lucky to have 5 catches and then released them ofc!), this adventure is about immersing yourself in Lapland’s magical winter wonderland. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rovaniemi! 🌟 SourcesWritten January 12, 2025
- 964ainhoag0 contributionsA ruined dreamFirst of all, I have to say that the drivers and guides were excellent and tried to do their best despite the chaotic boss, his bad manners, disorganization and lack of confidence in his workers ruined our experience, specially the last day, when due to the boss’ lack of organization and vindicative behavior made us nearly miss our fight. I will not recommend this company to anyoneWritten January 6, 2025
- P1172LWerint0 contributionsAmazing experience cross country skiingWe had an amazing experience of cross country skiing for the first time. Our guide was very friendly, informative and tailored the tour well to suit more experienced skiers alongside a beginner group. Would recommend!Written January 4, 2025
- christopherkS9883SA0 contributionscancelled without notificationWe arrived at the scheduled time in front of the Siula building. After 15min of waiting, noone else showed up. We called the organizers and at first they appeared confused regarding what tours they offer. 5min waiting on the phone later, they told us that the trip had been cancelled. We did not receive any notifications regarding the cancellation beforehand. The tour was showing as "confirmed" in Tripadvisor at the time. Needless to say, this wasted a lot of time driving around. If we had gotten a notification, we would have been able to plan something else on the day. This way, pretty much everything else had either been sold out or we were too late. We received a full refund.Written January 4, 2025
- Hakim8000 contributionsOverall greatFirst off we had a great overall experience and it lasted longer than expected. Everything was great EXCEPT for one thing, the owner, an older man was extremely rude and disrespectful to everyone from the staff to the customers. He was belittling his own staff in front of us when we were being given our snow boots and snow suits saying they didn’t know what they were doing and giving the wrong sizes(they gave us correct sizes and were great). Then told one customer taker her suit off it’s too small because she’s too fat. Nobody could believe what we heard and everyone was left in shock and tried to comfort the lady when the owner walked away. After leaving the office to go to an hour away to where the snowmobiles were located everything was great. The driver was a young lady and she was the nicest person and told us all about Finland and the culture and landscape along the drive. During the snowmobile ride we were able to make multiple stops along the path for pictures and snowball fights. The guide was great and the snowmobile experience couldn’t have been better. It would of been a 5 star review if it weren’t for the extremely rude and disrespectful owner we experienced in the office.Written December 25, 2024
- Simon P0 contributionsAwesome experience with a few hiccups along the wayActivity itself was beyond amazing if you like experiencing driving yourself. It would have been nice to have made it more obvious, that we'll be traveling from kemi to Rovaniemi by car to and back, as we may have booked the same trip while staying in Rovaniemi a few days later.Written December 23, 2024
- jennylF2909RK0 contributionsRanua arctic wildlife parkMy husband and I did the Ranua arctic wildlife park tour. Just us and guide Jade who drove. Fabulous. They kitted us in snow suit and boots. Jade came round park with us then went over the road and she put on a barbecue - lit a fire in the barbecue pit and brought out all the trimming - in the ice and snow. It was greatWritten December 6, 2024
- kristQ9856MN0 contributionsDisorganized companyVery disorganized. Nasty personnel except for the guides were very sweet and kind but they didn't really have much energy or personality because they're so overworked and working in such a disorganized system. Communication was terrible before and during the three days I had reserved with them. There are many better companies.Written December 5, 2024
- 743rajatb0 contributionsDon't trust them. Definitely a NO!The owner hyped up the trip saying it has been voted as the 3rd best trip in the world. We canceled our booking with the other providers and decided to go with them. Not only were we not able to see the lights. The bbq food was bad. They took us to a place which was cloudier than Rovaniemi. Even with a good kp index they managed to miss the view to the lights. Definitely a NO!Written November 14, 2024
- scoobyscout0 contributionsAmazing tour.Amazing experience by your guide Aneeq. His knowledge of the aurora and even Finland was amazing. We felt safe with him. The tour was fantastic and the location of the base with access to toilets and fire pit and food was amazing and great fun. The tour started at 8pm and finished at 2am and although I had my 9yr old son with me he managed right up until the journey home. Highly recommend the experience.Written November 8, 2024

- 709ankang0 contributionsRanua Wildlife with Lapland WelcomeWe went to Ranua Wildlife Park with Lapland Welcome. Reita (or Ritta) was our guide. It was an amazing trip. The guide took us through the park, showing us the animals. She gave us enough time to enjoy the wildlife and the environment in the park! She shared with us about the Finnish culture, her childhood experiences, her family and the weather. Overall it was a great trip ! I would recommend everyone to avail Lapland's guided tour to Ranua when in Rovaniemi.Written October 8, 2024

Really an amazing experience trip to the Santa village, no rush of course as off season so get to meet Santa and have a nice chat with him. Crossed the artic circle line and got a certificate on it. Utsav from lapland tours was a great guide and enjoyed the morning to afternoon excursion. Recomment it highly. Send a post card, bought some circular playing cards from the Santa's post office.

It was a magical experience meeting Santa and crossing the Arctic Circle. The best part of it was our guide, Reetta. She is an amazing human being. She's very friendly and a genuine soul. She definitely added to the wonderful experience we had. It was like touring the magical land with a kind fairy.

Great adventure and service!
I traveled to Rovaniemi solo and was taken care of extremely well. The ATV adventure and reindeer farm were great fun, and the trip to see Santa Claus was a hoot. I recommend the agency highly.

Took the grand daughter plus parents to Lapland (Rovaniemi) for 3 nights. Thought the trip might be a little tacky but it was nothing more than amazing. Girls were in awe of the day spent at Santa’s village where we sat in an ice bar watched a performance by the elves in a huge igloo drove reindeer and huskies enjoyed a free lunch and popped into wigwams to warm up in front of log fires! The jet ski ride through the woods to Santa’s cabin was magical and the elves entertained the girls whilst the family in front left the cabin unnoticed by them. Santa had in his hand the letters written by the girls (they posted blank sheets in the uk) which really ‘sealed the deal’.
Hotel a little dated but we were hardly in it and the only down side was that the evening buffet was a ‘little too grown up’ for their taste buds! Sledges were free to use and slopes very near by. We were able to take a ski lift up to the start of the longest sledge run in the Northern Hemisphere - very scary run down!
Ingram’s staff did an amazing job keeping all the children entertained on the a/c and bus and the elves at the airport on arrival set the scene.
An expensive experience but worth it as the memories are priceless.

Driving our Hertz mini van one hour north from Golo Golo resort and the Ranau Zoo, passing herds of wonderful reindeer, leisurely crossing the road in several places created much joy. Signs were along roads and we easily found Santa Claus Holiday Village. Reception was well organized and the safari Desk well placed for the many fantasies to be reserved. We were booked to ride reindeer sleds, meet huskies and go for a sled ride, visit ice house, the North Pole post office and FIND SANTA! A short drive, two minutes to our chalet. We leased the superior and were not disappointed BRAND NEW, a mini kitchen, and all needed appointments. Slippers and robes -just like the Peninsula hotels. The Three Elves restaurant was our favorite! All staff were very ,helpful and kind. We recommend also visiting Santa Park. This was beautiful, indoors and offered so many wonderful exhibits. Elf school, ornament classes, Christmas cookie decorating, Elf stage show......DO NOT MISS. Christmas Wonderland ! My congratulations to Marko and Inga Jaasko, who began in 2011 and have become the Hiltons of the Santa hotel industry! Bravo !

We drove from Ivalo to Rovaniemi for 3.5 hours to visit Santa Village, Rovaniemi church and ARTIKUM museum for the day in early october which was taxing driving 6-7 hours for return journey which we wanted be back to Ivalo to see the Aurora that night. Recommend to stay a night in Rovaniemi so that is not too rush.
You can spend almost a day in Santa Village. Many activities were close and only re-open from mid November in winter. However, there is still the Husky farm and reindeer farm to visit though there is no sledge ride. Husky farm entrance was Euro 10 which is not worth the visit. The dogs were all caged up and they do not allow you to touch the dog in the open to take photographs. Do not miss the reindeer farm which the entrance was only euro 5 and you are given something to feed the reindeers. You can hold, touch and have as many close up shots as you like.
There are many souvenir shops around to browse and also may choose which Santa claus you like to visit for photograph in the shop which you have to pay for the photo. Cross the artic circle line at the information centre area and meet santa claus. Highly recommend to visit during winter months where all activities are in full swing.
