Highly recommend experience. Ok, the weather was fantastic that helped and also our party was joined by a fairly quick german woman so we went for the lake. On the lake we followed a trail, went to the “saw-mill” island, enjoyed the fantastic snow covered trees en lavished in the sun. Marko told us a lot about the history of the place, the ice-hotel, Kemi as a city et cetera. In total we covered quite a distance so it was a good work-out. Tip… the better the group the further you go so… ask in advance.

Great guide and an unforgettable experience with Marko. We had the Northern Lights chase and visited several lookouts to get the best view. This was one of the highlights of our trip Later on, he shared places and alerts that we could go chasing the Aurora in our cars.

Wonderful experience! Marko is a lovely and warmhearted person and very skilled in finding/haunting the auroras. He made sure we got the most out of our adventure. He likes to share his knowledge and explains a lot! When the auroras were supposed to get in late he suggested to postpone the trip by a few hours to raise the chances of seeing them. Staying in the Salmon Lodge during the trip was a great experience and kept us warm. We would surely recommend the tour and look forward to come back!

The tour with Marko was brilliant! Even though the temperatures were quite cold he made it a very fun and worthwhile experience. He first taught us a few things about cross country skiing and then we went off onto the frozen Baltic Sea heading for the former saw mill island of Laitakari.

Marko is a reliable, committed, warm-hearted tour guide and well informed. The trip was a great adventure, don't miss the Northern Lights.

Marko is the best tour guide ever! He took us to a beautiful spot by bus and told us stories while we were enjoying the Northern lights. He took pictures with, and of us and later shared everything. He is always willing to help and plan new activities around Kemi. It was truly an experience we will remember forever! Thank you Marko!

Our guide was fantastic. The night we had picked to look for the lights turned out to have the wrong atmospheric conditions. Our small group had fun anyway looking at some local sights and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. But then our guide invited us to go out with him the next evening to try again free of charge, and this time we saw them. We really appreciated his expertise and dedication.

It was a great experience very fun and the northern lights were really awesome. Marko and Mikko were great guides.
