      Disappointing
Tour guide, while pleasant, was not knowledgeable about the history or culture of Gothenburg. She was from Hungary and had only been in the city for 1 year. I have done many walking tours in many cities and have usually found them very informative. Although I learned a few things on this one, it was, overall, disappointing.

      Great Walking Tour around Gothenburg
We really enjoyed the guided walking tour, and felt like we got to know the city. Pascal was knowledgeable and friendly, and had a great sense of humour. There wasn’t any sense of pressure to give money after the tour had finished, which we appreciated. Was a great way to begin our holiday here, would highly recommend.

A very good walking tour through Gothenburg introducing us to some of the landmarks of the city. Petra has a lovely manner and was very friendly.

      Fun and informative
Petra was a good guide, very outgoing and bubbly. She came prepared with pictures and gave better insights into certain areas. She was also helpful with any questions we had, and tips for places to eat. We took her advice, and it was delicious!

      Entertained walking visit in Göteborg
It was a nice visit to the city of Göteborg. I’ve enjoyed what Pascal show us. I missed some more info about what to do in the city.

I really enjoyed my day trip to Goteborg. What made the trip great was having a guided tour to learn about the history and culture. There are nuisances that I would not normally know unless was told by a local. I would love to visit Goteborg again. Overall a very enjoyable city to visit.

Pascal was the best. We covered the beaten path as well as favorited local gems, diving into Gothenburg’s rich history from early settlement to modern day marvel. Particularly loved Pascal’s knowledge on the alternative music scene and urban planning projects, which he tailored to our tour. Definitely recommend for a well-rounded experience on your stay. It also helps he’s easy on the eyes!

We did the Free Walking tour with Karina in May 2019. She was very pleasant and eager to please the participants. Karina is a German student studying in Gothenburg. The tour was quite long, but a coffee break was incorporated in the walk. Gothenburg is essentially a university city, with some interesting history, but the food options are limited ( think Hamburgers & pizza) and compared with other Scandinavian cities, is a bit dull. If you find yourself in this city, the walking tour is a good idea to give you some history.

I took the tour (free walking tour) with three friends and we were all amazed, Petra was our guide and she was stunning. We were able to appreciate the city from a perspective that would have been rather impossible without a guide, Petra did a great job at making the tour interesting and entertaining despite the bad weather. We really acquired a fascinating view of the city, its history and the reasons behind each monument/building/landmark visited. Besides, she gave us some really good recommendations about other activities in the city, and places to eat, which turned out to be great experiences.
In order to summarize, we think it was a great tour, very informative and illustrating, and with an incredible guide (thank you Petra).

I did a private walking tour with my mom in Goteborg and I love this fascinating city. I love the Swedish Culture, Fika Time. Really cool churches, statues, stores and more. You gotta check out the Air Bee n Bee, it was so cute. I'm just fascinated with the city, how clean it is, how nice the people are, how cool the shops are - I can't wait to go back there again.

We did two of the walking tours: Petra took us on the general city tour and Pascal led us on the alternative tour. The general city tour gave us a good overview of the major locations of historical and cultural interest in the city, with some special points of interest and quirky historical tales mixed in. The alternative tour took us to the other side of the river from the main city, as well as to some out-of-the-way places which you might not think to visit if you are just in the city for a few days. Both were very informative and gave us a good sense of the city, as well as some inside perspectives and tips from the tour guides who had lived there several years. They were also helpful in answering our questions and giving us some recommendations for what to see and do based on our personal interests. It is also funny that they both had credit card readers for accepting optional tips; Sweden is apparently very cash-free!

Free walking tours are always my preferred way for a first glance of a city or when I'm only staying for one day. Our guide Alessandro (not sure whether this is his actual name, an Italian Photography student) showed us the most interesting places, provided interesting background knowledge and gave helpful tips concerning other activities and places to go for lunch or drinks afterwards. Definitely recommendable.

I hope that this is the right tour i am reviewing, as there is only one free tour in the area! I is truly great and will do the best to give you a thorough understanding of the city. The tour meets at 10am everyday in Gustav Adolf's torget. I had a cracking time, despite the rainy weather but our guide, Pascal, was determined to show us the town and its splendor. I thank Pascal for such a positive and informative tour which was full of fun and cool stories!!

Free walking tours offer a great experience in every city - so was the one in Göteborg. Would recommend this to anyone who is new to the city and wants to explore a combination of key and secret spots.
