About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Steve-o200010 contributionsStreamlined and fascinating exploration of Stockholm through its cuisine. This experience packed so much interesting information in such a condensed amount of time. I was really impressed with the tour guide's speed and breadth of knowledge being able to speak on many different subjects about Stockholm's history and lifestyle and always rooting in the area's cuisine. The choices of foods were also excellent.Written October 1, 2024
- ebhowe0 contributionsHighly recommended-we had a real good timeAh we truly had an enjoyable time! This was so much fun and educational too. What a great idea and concept! it was great to try a few things from Swedish’s food without committing to a full meal. It was very good value for money to! The lady who did our tour was great (Sorry i do not remember the name- Italian origin). Highly recommendedWritten September 27, 2024
- maddiem20220 contributionsA good intro to StockholmThis is a great overview of Gamla Stan in Stockholm. Our guide was knowledgeable on the history of Stockholm and had many stories to share. Would recommend for those who want a quick tour.Written September 15, 2024
- andrewwN9868CP0 contributionsTest your tastebudsExcellent rang of food covered with a knowledgeable passionate host Cotton. Learnt a lot about Swedish culture and the food on offer did the city justice. Tack and skalWritten September 6, 2024

- Tinaithomas0 contributionsGreat Old Town Stockholm tour!Chada was our guide through the beautiful Old Town and did a great job answering questions and providing us with the history! He was very kind and helped everyone with recommendations and answers. He even assisted one set of travelers in getting where they wanted to go after the tour. We would gladly do this again!!Written September 1, 2024
- dannym6450 contributionsA 3-4 hour long experience of food and culture.Took the walking food tour with Cotton. He was very friendly (and a bit irreverent) and shared a lot of information about not only the food we were sampling but also the history of the areas and buildings we were walking through. The food was wonderful and varied: everything from a variety of Swedish cheeses to bear meat sausage and, of course, a variety of licorice. We ended with a little fika (conversation over coffee and a cinnamon/cardamom roll).Written August 10, 2024
- Symmesgirl0 contributionsGood sampling of Swedish cusineMy husband and I like to go on food tours when we travel so I picked this one after looking at the reviews. My main complaint was the size of the tour. I didn't say anything about it but several people did. It said maximum of 12 people. We had 21! That made it harder to move around and gather together and hear the guide. When a woman complained about the size of the group he just brushed it off and said that they didn't want to turn anyone away and it's a popular tour. We walked all over Stockholm and sampled food at two large food halls and ended up at a cafe for pastry and ate outside on the top floor of the building. I enjoyed tasting all the different foods including reindeer, mouse and bear!. We don't eat pork and our guide was able to get us something else at one of the stops. Cotton was very knowledgeable about all the food we ate. He could have been a little more personable. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and the food we ate.Written August 8, 2024
- 705hilaryy0 contributionsGuide lacked knowledge and tour was much shorter than advertised.Tour was supposed to be two hours and was less than 1 hour and 15 minutes. Guide didn't seem to know much, indeed didn't seem to understand the questions being asked. She told us about "ground zero" which should have been "point zero" and she said it was somewhere other than it was. She didn't know that the German Church was Lutheran or why the Swedish Royal family attends a German Church. She kept looking at her phone and reciting facts. It was pretty bad. When we asked a Church employee the answers to our questions, they were answered, but when I tried to pass that info along to our guide, she was uninterested. I know those seem like small details but in a 75 minute tour the German Church was about 10% of the total tour. What's worse, I thought the price was in CAD but it was in USD so we paid more than $60 each for this quick and superficial tour. Do not recommend. Maybe your guide will be better...Written August 6, 2024
- 75peaches0 contributionsLots of WALKING and eatingThis food tour was a lot of fun. Most food was pretty tame, but the bear jerky and moose jerky really threw me off. And the deer heart…whoa. Several guests refused to eat it. lol. At the end was a licorice challenge. Loved!!Written July 30, 2024
- 561docs0 contributionsvariety of tastingsHad a great time on the tour. Fair amount of walking so be prepared. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was good to taste a variety of foods that I otherwise would not have known or wanted to try, especially salted licorice. All in all a good way to experience Stockholm.Written July 22, 2024
- 669GregS0 contributionsFood, Food Halls, and FunOur guide was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and listen to . Enjoyed all the food and learned a little bit about Stockholm which was a great plus. The food halls are a neat concept.Written July 18, 2024
- Judith4840 contributionsCould improve a lotI cannot recommend this person we had on the tour. Spoke to low had a little attitude. Wouldn’t recommend . Our guide needs a lot of improvementWritten July 17, 2024
- kellybM5534DW0 contributionsFood tours are a great intro to any city!I have done over a dozen food tours in 10 countries and always like them for an intro to the general area. Cottyn was our guide and enjoyed his stories and historical information as we walked and sampled Swedish fare. There's always one thing missing from every tour I've taken, lol. Would have liked a taste of pickled herring on this tour! (I did have it later as part of a breakfast buffet).Written June 30, 2024
- PHoof0 contributionsGreat for Food-curious PeopleMany different foods were available to try, so many that we would not choose on our own! If you are gluten-free or have other food restrictions, they are able to accommodate you, but you should be open and curious about other cuisines to get the most out of this tour. Theresa was very good and engaging. She is a lifelong resident of the area, so she is knowledgeable about many things happening around the location. Even though there were several "difficult" patrons on our tour, she made every effort to accommodate them. There is quite a bit of walking through very busy areas, so it may not be suitable for people who are not willing or able to walk far.Written June 7, 2024
