- All central hotels, ports and other accommodations in central Stockholm, but not Nynäshamn harbour (if you enter Nynäshamn we will give you meeting directions to a pick up place in Stockholm city) If your tour departs from the cruise pier: If your ship arrives at S165 and S167 STADSGÅRDEN: Please walk a few hundred meters away from your ship while following the BLUE/GREEN lines. Go past the fences and guards, and your guide will wait there, with a sign saying "Viking Tours" on an A4-paper. NOTE: If you enter any other harbour number in STADSGÅRDEN than S165 or S167 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour. If your ship arrives at F638 FRIHAMNEN: Upon debarking the ship, please go through the terminal building. Once you go past the sliding doors (everyone else that departs the ship will walk out this way), the guide will meet you just outside the sliding doors. The guide will be holding an A4-paper saying "Viking Tours". NOTE: If you enter any other harbour number in FRIHAMNEN than F638 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour. If your ship arrives at V523 VÄRTAHAMNEN: Walk from your ship towards the tourist buses, which is less than 10 meters from the ship hull. The guide will wait for you at the tourist bus area, near the buses, with an A4-paper, which says "Viking Tours." The guide will then direct you to the tour vehicle. NOTE: If you enter any other harbour number in VÄRTAHAMNEN than V523 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour. If your Ship Arrives at NYNÄSHAMN: NO PICK UP INCLUDED HERE. That due to it being 50km away from Stockholm central station. We recomend you to contact and with us decide a meeting place in Central Stockholm. We will give directions how to go there either by train or that take one of the cruise busses going from the harbour into Stockholm. If you are unsure of which pier your ship is arriving at, please check with the cruise line.

We had a fantastic time on our tour. Our guide, Gabriel, was so engaging and imparted the history of the Vikings with great energy and a depth and breadth of comprehension that was most impressive. We learned so much from him. We also had a lot of fun along the way. He went out of his way to ensure we were all comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Anyone who spends a day learning and exploring with Gabriel should consider themselves very lucky.

The guide was very knowledgeable and professional. She added lots of human interest stories. Time allowed at the stops was just the right length. The group traveled in small vans and the guide was in the other van so we did not get the advantage of information she provided during the Lind drive between stops.

The day was fantastic. The tour was so interesting - Sigtuna was such a lovely town and Uppsala was also beautiful. The owner of the company was so responsive and flexible; and our guide Gabriel was so knowledgeable and interesting and fun, we really enjoyed being with him the whole day. Gabriel knows where the best coffee and pastries and chocolates are, so listen to everything he tells you!!

Incredible experience with Asa and Sweden History Tours. Execution was perfect, her knowledge of Viking history was unparallel and her attitude/general demeanor was great. Highly recommend this trip for any Viking aficionado. Thank you for amazing tour.

This tour was exactly what we needed for our day trip from Stockholm.
My husband is Swedish, so we spend a lot of time there and like to find new things to see and do each time we visit. This time we decided to combine his interest in Viking history with my love for archaeology by booking the full day private viking tour. It ended up being a great experience. Our guide Jonathan was very knowledgeable and friendly, and we had a blast exploring Uppland with him.
My husband is Swedish, so we spend a lot of time there and like to find new things to see and do each time we visit. The tour was very informative. The tour guide Emma had a wealth of knowledge and was very personable. On the day, my wife and I were the only customers but we were collected from our hotel in a comfotable car and had the tour guide all to ourselves which was an added bonus. We are glad that we took the tour as it provided us with the opportunity to see some of the surrounding towns and countryside that we would have missed had we stayed in Stockholm and of course we learned a lot about the viking culture along the way. Great way to spend a day's vacation.

Hi, I liked very much organisation of the tour. I was picked up and dropped of near my hotel. As for the tour, it was organised and thoughtfully designed to have enough time to look around, eat and enjoy different places. Our guide, was very knowledgeable, too. Thank you! Annie

It was wonderful to get out into the country. Carl, our guide, was fabulous. He taught so much about Viking history and took us to many memorable sites. He was pleasant and knowledgeable and the small group experience was so much better than a large group. Well worth the money.

Awesome day out with Emma and Erik! The first part of the tour is really focused on the Viking rune stone locations and very interesting - forget what you thought you knew! Jonathan met us at one of the locations and gave us some great extra info, it was cool to meet him!
The Sigtuna trip is lovely and there was all sorts to see in Uppsala.
This is a really great tour and a nice way to spend a day away from the city.

We planned a week long tour of Sweden. Half of that time was planned and accounted for. A few days were not. While in Stockholm, we had a free, full day and I really wanted to spend it focused on a Viking experience. A few nights prior, I was looking through TripAdvisor and the pickings were slim (nearly non-existent). I almost gave up when I found a series of tours from Time Travel Tours with very few reviews.
The three hours tour was really too short and didn't go to Uppsala. The half day seemed like the best "value" but that wasn't available. Then there was the full day tour, however that came with what I felt was a hefty price tag. I almost didn't commit due to the cost but I really did want the "full package" to fill the full day. There were few reviews but seemed promising. One specifically mentioned how great Nadia was so there was hope. I committed.
As luck would have it, Nadia was assigned as our tour guide and the rest was history. She was so accommodating, so pleasant, so full of endless knowledge. She never ran out of interesting things to point out during the entire day. She added a great deal of personality to the tour. At the end of all of this, I really felt that she single handedly closed the very wide value-to-price gap that it started with and could have ended up remaining. The "private" aspect of the tour is what probably made the biggest difference. If we had to deal with even 2 other people during that entire day, it would have been significantly more frustrating.
My only complaint is with the tour vehicle itself. The wiper fluid was nauseatingly strong. The wipers themselves were quite worn. The door required a certain level of finesse which some travelers might have problems with. The seatbelts were in rough shape. It wasn't exactly a luxurious ride.
This tour ended up being one of the most memorable aspects of the 12-day holiday filled with many other activities and destinations.
