In the early evening, make your way to the meeting point in Stockholm's Old Town (Gamla stan). Comfortable walking shoes and warm clothing (especially during the winter) are recommended. Meet your guide who, by the light of their lantern, leads you through tight alleyways, up narrow staircases, across cobblestoned streets, and through cozy courtyards—places that few other tourists see. Along the way, your guide delights and horrifies with tales of plagues, executions, murders, and, of course, ghosts. Part entertainment and part history tour, the past is brought vividly to life as you stroll the streets of Stockholm uncovering its tightly held secrets. Your tour concludes in the center of Old Town.

Brilliant tour! Highly recommended for someone that wants to see a bit of Stockholm and hear it's history in a vivid, descriptive with some hands on visual way. Our guide, a Scot, told us numerous tales, historical and folklore, in a most humerus way I ever heared from a guide. English is not my native language, but I understood his accent without any problems. He engaged the tour participants into his stories, which created interest and attention. The historical tour ended in a building's creepy dungeon with some ghost stories adding a bit of thrill to the tour.

Had a wonderful and entertaining tour with Callum. He maintained such a positive energy throughout the tour -- his passion really shows! It was a little unsettling to learn all the grisly goings on in the Old Town area; Callum really brought the stories to life! His animated delivery and quirky sense of humor fit the subject matter perfectly. I recommend the tour highly!!

We used this as a springboard on our first night to get a feel of the old town. We got a decent dose of history and the tour brought the streets to life, instead of just wandering around a collection of interesting looking buildings. Callum the tour guide was great; drew everyone on the tour into the stories and was very funny and knowledgeable. A really enjoyable evening - and scary at the end (I'll say no more!)

Sadly didn’t enjoy. Callum has a strange way of speaking, I found it quite unintelligible, speeds up his sentences then emphasis on the last word. Combined with the Scottish lilt to his voice and the whisper he engaged at certain points I felt we missed 60% of the speaking. Many of the group were not English but seemed to be laughing along so they were either being polite or we really did miss something. I guess it’s a love or hate thing. As previous reviews dramatic tour rather than true history. Some of the dramatics we felt was over laboured and not particularly interesting or clever. We did enter some streets we probably wouldn’t have ventured into without a tour, but overall not good value for money and we regretted booking 3 places.

We went with Callum. OMG, what a lark this was. He was entertaining, gave a wonderful presentation, mixed history in with all of the gore, the death, and other hallmarks you'd expect in a ghost tour. He was funny, engaging, included the people on the tour in the shenanagans, and kept everyone's interest all through an hour and a half of a cold night. We also got to see some of the narrow streets, alleys, and staircases that wind through the old city in Gamla Stan, places we wouldn't necessarily been able to see or even find on our own.

I would definitely recommend this approximately 1 hour long walk for everyone, who would like to know some of Stockholm‘s dark secrets. Really fascinating storytelling with goosebumps guarantee. I can imagine it to be even more spectacular in the winter months, when the sun goes down in the late afternoon.
Greetings from Zurich!

I enjoyed our evening ghost & history walk with Callum - the chap's good craic and tells his stories well. What I would say, though, is that if you're not fairly good in understanding English, you might want to book a tour in your native language, if available, or else pay very close attention - for ye can take the Scot out of Scotland, but ye cannae take Scotland out of the Scot.
That aside, plenty to see and hear while you walk through Gamla Stan. I'd say, surely worth the money.

We went on this trip on a Saturday night, and our guide Sandra took us through the dark history of Stockholm, and especially Gamla Stan in vivid detail.

Gamla Stan serves as a beautiful backdrop for a history lesson in the more gruesome chapters of Stockholm, and the presentation was interactive and our guide's love for the history shined through.

Well worth checking out if you're in Stockholm, as everyone should go to hell at least once.

During the ghost walk tour we visited many places in Stockholm Old Town that are important historically and somehow connected to murders, executions, or ghosts (legends). It was a good way to explore the Old Town, and many of the stories were interesting. I think the length of the tour could be shortened for example to 1 hour because I think it would have been enough. Also, a bit more walking and less story-telling may have been better. The tour guide spoke very good English but many times he spoke too fast so that it was often difficult to follow for non-native English speakers.
