The guide was fantastic at telling us all the stories about the Northan lights and all the animals and the prints that we saw! He was brilliant with the children and the hike was a perfect t distance and speed for both adults and children that participated. - jennieling220 contributionsUplifting and humorous guide - highly recommendedAnders is an amazing guide who shared generously his knowledge on Kiruna history, heritage, wildlife etc., peppering it with humorous anecdotes and interesting perspectives and insights. His passion for his craft is evident and infectious. He was also very accommodating and upon my request, switched the tour to snowshoeing up the mountain instead of the forest walk. His fika of home-made traditional pastry and lingon cum blueberry juice was an extremely nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and highly recommend any of his tours.Written December 17, 2024
- 286aidand0 contributionsGood hikeVery nice experience. Friendly tourguide who took the time to explain everything. You will be rewarded with a nice view when you are on top of the mountain. It is not too difficult or hard to do.Written December 13, 2024
- blijfreizen0 contributionsSnowshoe tour is the best thing to do in Lapland! We had an amazing time during our snowshoe tour up the mountain. It was incredible to be surrounded by nature with nobody around us. It felt like we had the mountain just for ourselfes. Except the animals which left there marks in the snow and Andres told us so much about the animals, the forest, the area and Kiruna. He is a great, nice and funny tour guide. We had a wonderfull experience and we would definitly do it again.Written March 8, 2024
- benjamindE3739EY0 contributionsLoved it!Great experience with my guide, who was very knowledgeable about the area and had lots of information and tips to share! Time on this tour went so quick and enjoyed every minute. If you're interested in learning about the nature and the local wildlife, I'd highly recommend this tour! This definitely got me into snowshoeing. I'd recommend coming prepared and bringing the correct attire as the weather can change rapidly.Written January 24, 2024
- RICHARD L0 contributionsWonderful! We took a snow shoe walk through the forest and it was brilliant. Anders is local, experienced, knowledgeable and really enthusiastic about sharing his love for this wonderful place. We loved hearing about the wildlife, with Anders pointing out tracks and telling us more about the wild world around us. We loved it that much that we went back for an evening northern lights tour, which was similarly brilliant. On both trips we stopped midway and Anders skilfully built a fire and we had hot lingonberry juice with cookies his mother had made. Overall, both trips were brilliant and gave us a much wider appreciation of this wonderful land. Highly recommended!Written January 24, 2024
- 313freyas0 contributionsBeautiful ExperienceThis was the most amazing experience! The snow was beautiful, the views were fantastic, and Anders was an exceptional guide! It was great learning about Kiruna and the surrounding areas, with the highlight for me being spotting all the animal trails, and Ander's knowledge about the wildlife in the area. The sparkling snow and the warm lingonberry juice weren't bad either ; ) I would recommend this tour to anybody looking for a unique experience in nature, or anyone after a bit of adventure during their stay in Kiruna. Definitely my favourite activity so far, 10/10 experience :)) Thankyou Outdoor North 67°Written December 13, 2023
- 270maltes0 contributionsInteresting and unique experience in the snowI can only recommend going on a tour with Anders! He really knows the area and the wildlife, is super friendly, and speaks perfect English. He'll guide you through tracks you'll not find on your own and as such it is really an experience you could hardly organize for yourself. Especially magical is also the way back which is in the darkness, but your headlight makes the snow glistening! The guide gives plenty of information about the city, the tracks of the animal wildlife and the nature. I've enjoyed the activity and can only recommend it!Written December 9, 2023
- 616yannicj0 contributionsAwesome!!!The tour was absolutely amazing! 🤩 Mesmerising landscapes, out in the wild, and the snow!! I haven't seen such a beautiful snow-scenes on any other tour! The guide was very passionate, he knows so much about nature & animals & tracking, learned a lot about the locals while having a nice chat! You can feel that he loves what he is doing and that motivated me too!Written November 27, 2023
- johnsQ4501KK0 contributionsWeaving a magical spell...Magical evening. Though the night sky did not reveal the Northern Lights, the snowshoeing through the forest and snow laden wetland was a wonderful experience. Anders - our guide - is a remarkable guide and he regaled us with stories of the aurora and native flora and fauna. He had a marvellous knack of weaving multicultural folklore, science and personal experiences into memorable tales full of insight and wisdom. Anders gave us extra time and went out of his way tp give us a personal tour and history of Kiruna. We would recommend this experience!Written November 25, 2023
- Merja S0 contributionsGreat hike! This was during summer. "The local peaks" was the name of the tour. Anders took us for a hike up a mountain. He knows a lot about nature and animals, and he was nice to talk to. We also saw reindeer on our way back to the city.Written July 27, 2023
- Miriam S0 contributionsWonderful experience!Such a lovely experience! Anders brought us to a place in the forest where we had a great view of the Northern Lights and explained the star constellations, the traces we could see in the snow and shared many nice stories. :)Written March 16, 2023
- daisyd3280 contributionsLook no further!A MUST for anyone looking for a tour in Kiruna. We enjoyed a peaceful snowshoe trek through the forest where Anders pointed out and explained various animal tracks and then emerged into a clearing where we had a good view of the night sky despite it being partly cloudy. Our tour was a group of 6 and we were the only people there so it was lovely and quiet. We were lucky to see the beautiful aurora borealis, with a breathtaking display across the sky. Thank you so much Anders! A very knowledgeable, friendly and fun guide. Look no further for a tour you will not forget!Written February 27, 2023

My husband and I were delighted to have 2 snowshoe hikes with Anders. Our first afternoon we went on the Snowshoe Up a Mountain and then the next morning went on the Snowshoe Through the Forest. We had a wonderful experience both times. Anders is a wonderful guide; he is friendly, informative and enthusiastic and readily engages with his new friends and takes expert care of them. The snowshoe equipment was of high quality and poles provided as needed (especially good on the mountain climb and descent). Anders is attentive and makes sure everyone is doing well and enjoying the trip. He is gregarious and full of good stories and information about the area, the flora and fauna, as well as life in Sweden or any questions folks had. The traditional homemade cookies and hot berry juice were great treats to share on the outings. If we have the opportunity to return we would love to enjoy the home dinner experience at his and his wife’s home and/or stay at their Airbnb. We felt not just like customers, but also felt like we have a new Swedish friend! Thank you so much, Anders!

We walked a beautiful path surrounded by the crisp, frosty winter forrest that also gave us views of the distant, surrounding mountains and the glowing sky. The tempo was calm but enough to keep us warm. We enjoyed a break watching the "winter sun" set, while the host provided us with homemade cookies and hot blackberry drinks at an open fire. One of our best and most memorable activities during our stay in Kiruna, due to the host friendliness, knowledge of the local environment and animals, as well as storytelling.

Anderson is a friendly and funny guide that will take you into the beautiful wildernis. He explains the tracks and plants and provides a small delicious swedish ficka at a camp fire. He has been doing this for a long time but only recently started doing his own tours (that why you might not find that many reviews). Must do when visiting Kiruna.

A magnificent walk in a splendid and quiet setting. Equipment at the top. Anders is very professional, knows many things and shares very willingly on many topics (fauna, flora, history, current events). He's nice and funny, great with kids. An outing that we recommend without hesitation. We all loved it!

We made a beautiful snowshoe hike this morning with our guide Anders.
He has told us a lot not only about the forest and the animals that live in it, but also about the history of Kiruna and the iron ore mine. Was really very nice!
And oh yes, on the way he also made a fire, we got hot berry juice and cookies from the region 😊!

Great activity, everything was perfect!! Anders is very friendly, he explains how the forest lives during the cold, the hike is very easy and does not require a particular level of fitness! The place is just magical. Little extra for the fika break! I highly recommend this experience

We had the most amazing morning snowshoeing through the winter forest with our outstanding guide, who was full of great stories and information about the forest, the wildlife and about life in Kiruna. He was informative, entertaining and a fantastic guide. The warm juice and traditional biscuits served around a fire was perfect in such a magical setting.

This was a fantastic snow shoe hike in a beautiful winter landscape!! We did the tour with our two children and it was a great experience for everyone of us. The track was not difficult and our guide Anders told us a lot of interesting facts about the animals living in the forest and the plants growing there. He did a great job!! Thanks and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!
