Baking from the best.
Sep 2020
Like a lot of other reviewers here, this class was the highlight of my short trip to Copenhagen! We had a very small group obviously owing to the current circumstances, but it was still fun. It was lovely to arrive to some coffee and granola for breakfast, it certainly felt like you were being invited to someone's very beautiful and well-equipped home kitchen.

As someone who has some baking experience, I still got a lot out of the class in finally tackling puff pastry and picked up useful tips on how I could improve my own baking at home. It was also great to learn the particular traditions of Danish baking. Thomas was a very thorough and entertaining teacher and really delivered on recommendations on where to go for more great baking in the city!

Thank you so much for joining us while you were in Copenhagen. We are really pleased you got a lot from the class and learned something new for your own baking. Congratulations on your great work - I will pass on your kind words to Thomas.

A perfect CPH experience!!
Aug 2019
We lucked out and me and 2 friends ended up with a private class!! I'm sure had it not worked out this way, though, it still would've been fantastic. We made all kinds of breads, pastries, and even homemade butter. It was an absolute blast and the space is beautiful - complete with a light breakfast ahead of time and coffee and tea available throughout the morning. Thomas was informative, fun, and an overall great teacher. We got to take the recipes home after trying them all as well. A MUST DO activity in Copenhagen!!

Fun Baking Times
Aug 2019
We had such a great time with this class. I learned about Danish breads and pastries and even when our cinnamon twist did not work on the first batch, no worries. We just simply tried again! I wish I had time to do the dinner class. The menu sounded fantastic for it!! I highly recommend!!

Definite highlight of my trip
Apr 2019 • Solo
I was fortunate enough that the class ran despite there only being 4 people – which I understand doesn’t normally happen unless other bookings allow. This meant that we each started on individual doughs/ pastries, with us all working together once the dough had proved.

Personally, I now have a new appreciation for anyone that makes puff pastry! I will in all honesty probably stick to ready made myself in the future, but if I ever enter the Bake Off, I’ve at least done it once! Cinnamon rolls are undoubtedly my weakness, so I was glad to be able to make those. We also made sour dough buns, something that gets called birthday buns with cardamom, frøsnapper twists with a marzipan filling & poppy & sesame seed coating with the puff pastry, and our own butter.

The lunch with the products of our work was perfect in terms of the mix of savoury and sweet and also amount. It was lovely to sit with the other guests and our host and just chat and get to know each other a bit better. There was also a light breakfast of coffee and sour dough buns provided on arrival.

The kitchen facilities were very clean, well equipped and great for working as a group. The dining room was also a lovely environment to eat in and chat after. Fortunately for us there was some left over so we got to take some items away with us.

Our host Nynne was great explaining everything to us and also happy to speak to us about our visit to the city and give any recommendations. We also met Grey & Viola who were there and they were equally lovely.

I would definitely recommend this as an activity to do if you are visiting the city - even if the sun is shining outside. I would even do this course again as I do like to bake.

Highlight of my trip to Copenhagen!
Feb 2019
Viola and Gray were the most excellent hosts and instructors! I learned so much about baking, and was able to make the same recipes with great success once I got home. They taught us about Danish traditions through baking. This class was definitely the highlight of my trip to Copenhagen. I highly recommend doing this if you're visiting!

You can have your cake and eat it......
Dec 2018
Six of our family decided to spend one morning of our 4 day stay in Copenhagen at this baking cookery session and are very pleased that we did so. It's not cheap, but you are well looked after, have fun making (and eating!) butter and sour dough rolls and delicious pastries, and learn some new skills, and make some new friends - so well worth the effort and cost!

The kitchen is very modern and well equipped and the cook is a lovely Danish lady who is very patient and good at involving all participants and helped make the session very enjoyable.

Delicious and fun
Nov 2018 • Solo
This was my first time trying a baking class while travelling and I am so glad I did it! I learned about it from Real Housewives of Dallas (don't judge) and received a prompt email letting me know when they had availability. There were 8 people and Gray made sure to help with each task we were assigned. The pastries and sourdough buns were amazing and the little lunch after with everyone was delicious! Gray taught during the class as well about Danish culture surrounding food/sourdough and I learned a ton. I highly recommend as you will walk away with knowledge and a stomach full of Danish pastries (and we had leftovers!).

Our favorite activity of our trip!
Nov 2018 • Couples
This was absolutely our favorite thing we did on our trip to Copenhagen! Such a wonderful way to get acquainted with Danish culture, cuisine, and meet some locals as well!

During the baking class we learned how to make sourdough buns, cinnamon twists, and a puff pastry! Even though we are not skilled bakers, Viola and Gray helped make every step easy to follow and gave plenty of guidance whenever needed. Each of the steps were broken out amongst all of the attendees which allowed us to try a bit of everything!

The best part was getting to share the meal at the end with all of the other attendees in their beautiful dining room! We got to eat all of the yummy baked goods we had just created as well as enjoy some coffee and shnapps!

Will recommend this to every person I know who visits Copenhagen.

Had fun learning making cinnamon bun, puff pastries and sourdough bun. It's quite pricey but the experience I gained worth the money. What a way to spend your holiday.
