      Must to have
As in most of the Greek archeological sites, Olympia is mainly an area where you can find a map of the ancient city: stones, brics and parts of columns give you the idea of the buildings on the horizontal plan but you cannot have a three dimensional view of them. Using the 3D glasses and the virtual reality, magically you can understand where you are, what was and what was done there. Possibly in Italy or in Turkey this would be just a "nice to have" tool, since most of the archeological sites are almost intact, but in Greece, at least in Olympia and in Delos if it was available, the Olympia back in time glasses are a must, for kids and adults. Highly recommended, without them I suppose most of the visitors would be disappointed by the visit and would appreciate only the museum, which is clearly enjoiable in itself. I would recommend also the Back in Time initiative to arrange the same tool for the other Greek archeological sites.

      Brings ancient history to life
Very nice and good tour. Different languages, good and easy instruction. Worth the money. Kids loved it and friends we met on the site were also impressed.

A Whole New Perspective on an Old Place
The VR headsets provide a unique way to see what Olympia may have looked like. The audio was informative, but I do wish there was a little more information. Each location has audio to go along with it and most of the sites have an option to listed to more information, which is great for families with kids who want different amounts of detail (our 4 kids range from 10-17). It held the interest of our 10 year-old and slowed her down so the rest of us weren't rushed through. But if you really want to dig into the details, I'd suggest a live guide. The staff at the store were very friendly and made sure everything was working for us before we took off. We also showed up earlier than we had reserved the VR headsets and it wasn't a problem--we were able to pick them up and begin early. I hope they continue building and expanding on the idea; my kids preferred the VR headsets to the iPads at the Acropolis.

It made such a difference. It was great!
We rented the Visual/Audio guide in Olympia and what a difference it made while we visited the excavations. As you approach each site, the earpiece you wear begins to explain what the place was like in Ancient Greece and the glasses actually show you (in motion) athletes exercising, the Statue of Zeus being built in the original workshop, entire temples, and you can even hear the echo of your voice in the ancient echo temple. Fabulous!

      Do this tour!
Fantastic! Whole heartedly recommend this tour. It allows you to see reconstructions of what the site would have looked like, and provides information about what you are seeing. The headsets are very easy to use and the staff at the pick up point were lovely. It really was so simple! Be aware, the pick up site is not at the Olympia site. However, it’s very close (a 3-4 minute drive away) and we did still need to buy a ticket to access the site.

      Highly Recommend
If you’re on the fence about renting these headsets, do yourself a favor and do it. Like so many other ancient ruins throughout Greece, it’s hard to envision what the structures looked like when they were built, not to mention the size and scale. The VR headsets solve this problem. Were it not for these headsets, our stop in Olympia would have likely been disappointing. The VR headsets not only guided you along a GPS-enabled route that provided audio info, the 360-degree visuals helped show what the area looked like when the buildings were standing. We were unsure what the visuals might be, but we were pleasantly surprised that they were true-to-life and weren’t cartoon-y. A number of other visitors within the ruins were interested in the goggles, as they were frustrated and having trouble envisioning what each structure looked like. The goggles are purchased in town, prior to going to the site. The goggles were so helpful that they helped us envision all of the ruins at our next stop on our trip in Delphi. The owners of the business were great. We didn’t know we needed to reserve the headsets if we wanted to start our self-guided your at 8 a.m. We called, and the owners dropped what they were doing and scootered to the stop to open up and accommodate us! Looking forward to seeing this company expand to other historical sites throughout Europe!

      Really enhances the experience
The experience is brilliantly designed, with easy-to-use headsets, helpful navigation, and best of all, beautifully done reconstructions and reenactments. At times we felt were milling with the ancient crowds and athletes, and we learned a lot. The technology greatly enhances a visit and is a great value.

      Great experience, definitely unforgettable
Wauw, with the VR glasses the city of Olympia came alive. Without they are just a couple of stones. Make sure you rent the right amount of glasses, sharing takes a lot of time and the fun to see and hear everything is worth the payment. Being home this was one of the most memorable part of the three weeks holiday.

      Brought Olympia to life!
Much better than expected!! So many impressive different sites all together. We added the “Olympia back in time” VR headset tour which really improved the experience. You could stand in front of each ruin and see what it looked like in ancient time, including athletes running around. The VR shop is in town so stop there first to pick up and head to site. It’s easily walkable if you don’t have a car as Olympia is a small town.

Excellent way to tour an ancient site
I would like to thank this company for an excellent experience and request that they hurry to offer the same at all major Greek archeological sites! We later on our trip went to explore ancient messini and commented all the way around how wonderful it would be if only we could have 3d glasses there as well. It adds another level of interest- seeing the colours and heights and noise of how the Greeks would have lived then. We particularly enjoyed seeing the complete buildings in relation to one another around the site too at Olympia. We look forward to this company's expansion. 5 star.

      Nice Staff
Very nice staff. I had lost my son's shoe in front of the shop, when I noticed this in front of the entrance to the Olympic site and I was about to walk back, the staff came up with the shoe. That was really great. Thanks again. The tour with the glasses gives a very good picture of the situation at that time. It comes to life through the glasses.

Great experience to see the ruins via VR
This experience is super cool to be able to imagine how Olympia looked like back in the day. You reserve the glasses, pick them up in town in Achille‘s shop and then off you go to experience the site. The visuals are accompanied by an audio guide who tells more about the history of the place. Only the GPS location sometimes does not work 100% neatly - isn’t an issue at all though - great stuff keep it up!

Bring the history of the original Olympics alive before your eyes with VR glasses
The VR glasses are a brilliant way of bringing the archaeological sites alive in a fun and user-friendly way. You will get so much more out of your visit by using them and you will definitely appreciate and understand what you are looking at. Having characters from ancient Greece talking to you and explaining what you are seeing is a nice touch. Great value for money.

Great add on to the visit. Really useful information. Great audio! It is amazing because it allows you to realise the actual size of the original monument, the buildings and the statues! Do try it!

As an architect, I'm familiar with visualizing buildings. These glasses are very user-friendly in giving everyone a real sense of how these sites looked 2500 years ago. There are also lots of fun features that would appeal to young and old. Don't forget to shout in the Echo Hall!

Amazing experience and content that puts you in the middle of the all the historic scenes. One moving content file of the running is really nice. Highly recommended and hope the sales will produce more income to increase and expand content.... They should do this on more sites like Delphi.... The guy who rents the VR glasses is very helpfull!

We loved it! A great way to br guided around and ‘see’ Ancient Olympia as it was. We were a couple and shared one headset, which was enough. We took our time but even so, there was over 50% battery life remaining at the end. We’ll worth €20.

Excellent experience. A wonderful way to leverage on technology to learn the history.
The tools provided are extremely easy to use and provide a perfect replica of how the buildings and area looked like 2500 years ago, giving info and details for all the monuments.
Tip: whe you go to the museum, you can compare the Methopa of the temple with the virtual reproduction shown during the tour. Fantastic!!

Incredible experience. Seeing Olympia at its prime with athletes training among the monuments was a great addition to seeing what is left of them today. This truly adds information and fun to a visit of ancient Olympia.
Also, the team is super competent and friendly explaining the goggles etc.
10/10 - could hardly have been better.

Great experience using the VE goggles at Olympia. We visited the historical site as part of a cruise around Greece, and this experience enables us to navigate the site smoothly and have a better understanding of what the monuments meant. Many other tourists remarked on the goggles, and were clearly wishing they had done the same because the site is not very clearly marked. We felt this tour enabled us to have a better understanding and value for money in terms of the admission fee. We cannot recommend highly enough and have told all of our friends and family to visit!

Customer service was amazing; friendly, helpful, informative (before arriving and after)- couldn’t have asked for better!

Goggles brought Olympia to life for my husband and me. They really take the “ruins” and make it feel like a full back-in-time experience. We were both extremely pleased with this and would highly recommend it for any age.

Incredible fascinating experience. Starting with a very friendly and professional introduction to the system, followed by perfect views into the history of Olympia. That was worth every Euro (it costs 20.- € for 3 hrs).
Best is to take the glasses for a 3 hr tour, then return them and visit the museums afterwards. You will need and enjoy the 3 hrs.
The development and presentation team did a great job. Congratulation!

Unfortunately, the headsets stopped working within a few minutes, as they couldn’t function in the heat. We booked a midday slot to collect the headsets in town, 15 minutes from the archeological site itself, only to be asked to leave the site at 12.45 due to the heatwave, which the tour guides had been made aware of, but we were not. So we were basically unable to use the headsets at all, we had hardly any time at the site and the whole day was wasted. The VR guide refused to give us any compensation or refund, despite failing to inform us that the site was closing early and still willingly selling us tickets for that time slot, although they knew the site would be closing 30 minutes after our arrival and the headsets don’t even work in the summer! Ridiculous.

Mr Alison Wild, our VR glasses are custom made in order to work under the heat of the summer with no issues since most of the people are visiting Olympia during the summer months. We tried several times to contact you but you never answered your phone, we also texted you and even left you a voice message at 11:00am (when they announced that the Arch. Site will close at 13:00 until 18:00 due to the heatwave) and asking you if you wish to reschedule for the afternoon as every other visitor did. You arrived at 11:45 with your wife, 3 children and a baby in the stroller mid-day with a temperature of 39° /102F willing to do the tour as soon as possible because you didn't want to do the tour in the afternoon. The security of the Site for the safety of the visitors closed the Site at 13:00 as planned and forced every visitor to leave the place and of course you didn't have the time to see everything with only 2 VR glasses that you reserved for 5 people. When you returned back to our office you were frustrated and requesting a refund because you didn't have enough time to see everything but we said that it was your choice to finaly do the visit at 12:00 even if we informed you that they will close at 13:00pm. Then you said that you want a refund because the VR glasses didn't work but we checked the devices in front of you and they were ok so you said that now they are ok but in the Arch. Site didn't work. We asked you politely (even if your attitude was bad) why you didn't call our support number since you claim that they didn't work and your answer was "and what could you do about it?". As we informed you also in person, our support team can fix any issue with just a press of a button but you never called to say anything about a problem. We understand that you made a bad choice visiting the Site with kids at 12:00 during a heatwave but please don't blame us for not having enough time to see everything even if we informed you on time about the closing time of the Site and also gave you the option to reschedule for the afternoon...

Our family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children ages 9, 12 and 14 all used the VR for the first time for our Olympia tour. It was a very different experience compared to what we had done at other ancient sites and all of us were engaged and enjoyed it. It brought the area to life in a new and interesting way. I would recommend it to families
