          Stop: 7 hours
In this full day private tour at Northern Corfu you will enjoy Corfu Island’s north east coast, known for its graphic coastline with small coves and rock formations that stretch down into the sea. Your all day private tour starts with a stop at the traditional village of Troumpeta situated on top of a hill on the road at the north part of Corfu island. The special of this village is the magnificent view of the east and north part of Corfu. Next stop will be Acharavi village. Acharavi is a village 37km away from Corfu town on the northwest part of Corfu, built on a flat area with an extensive sandy beach, which is one of the largest in Corfu. Along the coastal area there are many restaurants and caffes where you can taste the local food and drink some of the local wine (not included in the price). Also, at Acharavi you will be able to visit the Folklore Museum of Acharavi. Historical mementos, photographs, drawings and historical texts are exhibited with much love and care in the museum linking the past to the present time of Corfu history. These objects reflect the famous Corfiot tradition and the local civilization that has been shaped over the last three centuries. After Acharavi we proceed to visit Old Peritheia, Corfu’s oldest village. On the green slopes of Pantokrator, the tallest mountain of Corfu island, it is situated the abandoned village of Old Peritheia. Most scholars agree that the name of the village comes, because of its many churches, from the phrase “About the Divine ” ( Peri=About and Theia=Divine ). Into the village you will be able to admire the numerous venetian style buildings and churches and of course enjoy a wonderful meal in one of the recent created taverns into the old buildings of the village. Old Peritheia has been known the last years apart from its historical value, and for its great food. Our final stop for today will be, Kouloura, the perfect spot for photo shooting the coastline of the neighbouring country of Albania and the mainland of Greece, Ipeiros and Kalami, a horseshoe-shaped bay, with a rare beauty of the Greek uniqueness of nature. Kalami is well known as the place where the Nobel Prize nominated author, Lawrence Durrell, once lived in the White House, and wrote excellent novels as “Prospero’s Cell”. The White House is still preserved at the end of Kalami bay from the beginning of the 20th century. If there is enough time left you can also enjoy the crystal blue waters of Kalami beach, if not you can relax into your mini bus, admire the scenery until we reach back to the place where your private mini bus tour had begun. Please note that the tour starting time can change upon request Departure & Return Location: Port of Corfu – Also traveler pickup is offered. You will be informed on the exact time and location after your booking.

          Lovely spring hike
Organised trip, but hiked on our own through the gorge. Beautiful spring flowers, and not to strenuous a hike. But beware lots of loose pebbles on your way, so watch your step. Easier hiking than Samaria and Irini Gorge. Definitely recommended.

Lovely beach to visit out of season.
We went there in October and it was so quiet. Water was fresh but tempoerature was 26 degrees so still nice an warm, and no grafetti like the rest of Crete. The parking was fine as it was so out of season but take your own food etc. and beach service gets busy later in the day.

          Too expensive and long
There were some things that I liked about this tour, and some things that I didn't like. The positive first; the guide was really informative and enthusiastic. The bus drivers were amazing; the way they handled those serpentine roads was just awesome. But the hike itself was much tougher than I expected - although that's mainly because of the weather. 31 degrees Celsius. Not the best day to go hiking... But another thing was all the added costs; it cost 26 euros for me and my daughter to go with the boat from Sougia to Agia Roumeli. Plus 20 euro for the return ticket. In the ad it only said 10 euros. And then when you add the breakfast that you had to buy, and the lunch, and the sunbed at the beach for 8 euros... It all becomes a lot more expensive than planned. And longer...it took 14 hours, not 11. So.. a mixed experience. But nice to see another part of Crete. And some really beautiful scenery.

          Pretty beach, transport is dicey
The beach was beautiful but the whole " lunch is optional" thing should be explained better. Its not like we have the option of staying on the beach longer. You either go with the bus to the town to have lunch or you are stuck so its not really optional. I would have preferred another hour on the beach and also there were so many stops picking people up. I was just glad I was vaccinated because that bus is packed!
