- johnhX4660CR0 contributionsDay trip from Corfu to Pargas.Absolutely amazing day trip. Scenery was stunning and the brilliant staff were knowledgeable, told us of the history and were friendly, polite and helpful. Beautiful, clean and surprisingly extremely affordable throughout - from the cost of the trip itself to the refreshments and food onboard. Even had a little barbecue on the way back. If you go on one trip out from Corfu on your holidays make it this one. Guaranteed not to disappoint.Written October 25, 2024
- hart0gd0 contributionsVery worthwhile mini cruiseThe tour was amazing, our tour guide Bianca gave an excellent overview of the things we saw. We moored in Lakka on Paxos which was an amazing little town even when some of the shops where already closed in the down season. The caves were an absolute highlight and amongst the most beautiful places I visited. The swim at Antipaxos was very pleasant. The crew was very friendly and the food and drinks nice enough.Written October 21, 2024

- Michael M0 contributions***Must Visit Trip...Would Highly Recommend***We boarded the boat at Corfu Port after a smooth transfer from Kalami. Once boarded we were shown to the upper deck, where we had reserved seats. Once on the way, Maria was very informative, describing all of the local landmarks in multiple languages. Once we arrived at Lakka on Paxos Island, the stunning bay and town were then explored and we visited multiple local shops and a restaurant for some great food. Once back on the boat we sailed past the beautiful west coast of Paxos, visiting multiple caves en route to Antipaxos, where the boat moored in the bay so everyone could swim in the crystal clear water for over an hour. The food and drinks on board were excellent and very reasonably priced, backed up by the great service of Spiros and his team, while the DJ played great music to keep everyone in the party spirit. The tour has something for everyone and there were people of all ages on board. Would highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Written October 16, 2024
- June C0 contributionsA perfect day in Greece! We visited Paxos/AntiPaxos with Ionian Cruises booked through TripAdvisor. The crew of the Sfedone was professional and friendly. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed swimming off the boat in the Ionian Sea, sailing into the Blue Caves, and visiting the town of Laka. A must do activity if you are staying in Corfu.Written October 6, 2024

The tour guide spoke different languages and was really nice. In the afternoon, since the journey from Antipaxos to Corfu was long, they surprised us with a DJ (Pantelis, which was reaaaally good) and with traditional Greek dancers. A great experience!Written September 29, 2024
- 384dilyanb0 contributionsA MUST-DO in CorfuEverything was more than amazing. The value and pure entertainment the whole organisation provides is ON ANOTHER LEVEL. They had photographer, DJ, and Maria, who not only told us captivating stories in over 4 languages, but also contributed SO MUCH to the overall mood of the boat. There were breathtaking views throughout the whole 10-ish hours, which by the way, went by so fast. I definitely recommend Ionian Cruises to everyone who considers going to Corfu. An absolute must.Written September 23, 2024

Good coffee at the bar, stop at a gorgeous little town, fun in the caves, then swimming in turquoise waters of Antipaxos. There was a bar, BBQ and DJ on the boat. They even gave a show of Greek dancing, people were dancing too. It was more than I expected, great value for money, I recommend!Written September 22, 2024
- Budd T0 contributionsAwesome trip, highly recommendGreat trip, village was cool to visit and had some awesome beaches with nice water to swim in, as well as a good hike to get to the secret beach. The caves were cool and the place we stopped to swim from the boat was enjoyable as well. Good entertainment on the boat for the ride home made the trip go by very fast. We were very blessed with the weather which helped as well.Written September 21, 2024
- MIKE2404490 contributionsFull day enjoyable trip.Very good but long day with a well organised trip. Shame the weather was poor in the morning but made up for by the glorious sunshine in the afternoon on the way back, which made the blue lagoon swimming enjoyable and party disco, bbq and dancing. Parga a great place to visit for 2+ hours. Would recommend this Ionian cruise trip for a full day out.Written September 20, 2024

This was an amazing tour. We arranged to be transported there and back from our hotel in Kontokali to the port (an extra 5 Euros per person, but definitely worth it after a long day on the boat!). We had originally scheduled our tour for a different day, but were informed that the waters were going to be rough and windy, so they were happy to reschedule us for a different day without charge. The communication was excellent; I was very pleased.
The weather was perfect on our day cruise. It would be prudent to bing a light jacket to be protected from the wind, but it was not cold. We had perfect conditions to enter the cave- we went so far in that you could touch the cave from the boat! Then the boat brought us directly to a beautiful beach in Antipaxos (the most blue water I have ever seen!) Lastly we ended on the island of Paxos where we had free time to enjoy a meal and explore the island.
On our journey back to port, we were met with lovely Greek dancers who made the experience so much fun.
Maria the translator was so amazing and kind and really made the trip perfect for us. She spoke English, Greek, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. She even was asking my sister and I where we were from and made us feel at home. Maria was the highlight of my trip honestly!
My only complaint would be with the concessions staff. There was a woman who would take your order and prepare the drinks, and a man who collected the money. The women seemed visibly perturbed when I asked her to make me a frozen margarita (clearly displayed on the cocktail menu). She made me feel bad for asking her to make it, which I didn't appreciate (she was hesitant to make the drink at all). The man at the register wasn't a peach either; never satisfied with the method of payment (wanted smaller bills, didn't want to take cards etc.) Their attitudes didn't ruin the trip by any means, but their negative energy wasn't welcomed by me.
Overall, we had an amazing trip and would highly recommend. We saw sights that were truly spectacular, and have great photos and memories. Would definitely take the cruise again!

It was a nice trip! I definitely think it was worth the money. It lastet more than 10 hours and we saw such blue water. The stay in gaios was also nice you could go swimming there and eat something. The only thing I would recommend is really bring a light jacket or hoodie. If you are seated on the shadow side of the boat and it’s still early in the morning it can get chilly. ( we went June) However you can always leave your seat and go down to the railings and sit there wherever you like. We swapped our seats accordingly to our liking in regards to heat. The drinks are rather expensive there and not to big so I would recommend packing your own if you would like to drink there. The food prices are okay. The fullness of the boat is okay. It looks really full from outside but if you’re in it it’s actually not that bad, you don’t really notice it. You do spend more time on the boat than on land/ water however you see very beautiful and interesting things/ palaces/ mountains and the guide tells you all about it.

Cons
1 ) This should be called "boat transport" instead of "boat tour", because that's what it primarily is, transport. The day was 14 hours long and only 3 of that was not in transit.
2) The boat was overcrowded. They clearly just want to make as much money as possible, we were all packed in like sardines. I was sat opposite a couple who were both sick, and guess what? Now I have COVID.
3) The recorded guide information was played in about 5 different languages, which made it not very engaging to listen to. 2 languages would've been enough. Additionally, sometimes it was drowned out by the sheer amount of people on the boat chattering! It would've been better with a live person doing the tour aspect, but hey, why would they want to invest that much in a better tour experience when they already overpack the boat?
4) The safety briefing was played about 30 minutes into the boat trip instead of at the beginning, and it wasn't played loud enough. I am not a strong swimmer and I had no idea what to do in the event of an emergency on sea. I didn't even hear where the lifejackets were!
5) On the way back, when I was tired, they pulled up alongside a sister ship and the DJ started blasting loud music, turning the boat into a nightclub for the last 40 minutes of the trip! Then, when we were all departing the boat, the DJ gave cards to people to write reviews, but he ONLY gave it to the attention seekers who had been stood up, dancing when he was blasting music. The bartender had even given some of these people free shots! So be wary of the high ratings on this, it may suffer from selection bias.
6) The sea caves were nothing special, and you spend a few minutes in each. The beach you get to stop at for 1 hour has beautiful looking water, nice for pics, but it really wasn't worth all that time sitting on an overcrowded boat.
Pros
1) Gaios was pretty. Found a nice restaurant to each lunch at too.
2) On the way back from Paxos, Seagulls flew parallel to the boat, catching food in the ocean, then coming back up to just above the boat. The Seagulls were about 2 arms length away, it was very cool, closest I'd ever been to a bird flying in the air.

The trip overall was nice but there were some obvious and disturbing minuses:
The boat was too crowded. When the boat stops and people want to go in the water, unless you jump from the boat, you need to stay in line and wait in order to enter the water.
Another minus was the fact that on the inside of the boat, the AC was doing its job only around the place where it was placed. Behind the boat, it was really hot and smelled a lot like gas.
The trip to Paxos was nice, around 2 hours to walk around the city and have a quick bath. Antipaxos was amazing.
I would recommend to increase volume for the microphone or stereo system so when you're outside, you can understand what the guide is saying. The boat was very loud so sometimes it was hard to understand.

The blue of the sea was amazing... It was not only a tour in Paradise! A special team was with us. A perfect guide, Maria, not only capable to switch from English to German, from French to Italian in seconds, but also very well informed and extremely nice, a Captain that was capable to drive the boat in the middle of the cave, just to give us the opportunity to enjoy all that blue, the guys from the bar that prepared coffees and barbeque all day long smiling and telling us interesting stories about people and places and not to forget the two professional Greek dancers that give us in the middle of sea an incredible show. We have arrived in time, all tired but happy, singing and dancing, smiling and thinking about this incredible experience. Thank you guys for all you have done for us today!

The Ioanian Cruises information states 'social distancing enforced' but sadly this was not the case on my recent day trip to Paxos and Antipaxos with lunch stop in Gaois.
Yes, the boat itself was being meticulously cleaned on our arrival at Corfu Port by diligent men in masks and indeed after we set sail, and passengers generally adhered to distance guidelines but there were shortcomings later in the cruise which were disappointing.
The cruise was apparently limited to 60% of capacity (that is 162 people), but confusion reigned supreme when the majority of this number wanted to get on/off the boat for the swim at Antipaxos. Social distancing was non existent and there was one older employee (whose face mask had well and truly long gone) trying to maintain some semblence of order. It appeared that he just gave up in the end. There was no apparent plan in place to organise this safely and in an orderly manner.
However, Gaios is beautiful and well worth the visit, the coastal scenery of Paxos is amazing, as is the beach stopover in Antipaxos. The whole day trip, although around 12 hours from pick up to drop off, was great. You just need to get the social distancing practices right please Ionian Cruises.
(Perhaps it might be worth, in the long term, when life returns to normal, considering offering an under 30s cruise only?)

I don't usually do these types of boat trips because they tend to be packed with people like a cattle car. This one was but I didn't really notice because I sat in the bow and forgot that there were a hundred people behind me. The scenery was simply amazing, especially on the west side of Paxos.
We got good looks at the historic parts of Corfu Town and crossed paths with a pod of dolphins on the way there.
The live narrator was an amazing woman who gave entertaining commentary in six different languages.
At the Paxos harbor we stopped for almost 2 hours and had the option of doing four different beaches. I did the hike to the hidden cove, which was a bit steep in parts and narrow, but it was worth it.
At Antipaxos we stopped for a long swim from the boat in a beautiful blue bay.
On the long trip back to Corfu there was barbecue food offered at a reasonable price, bar drinks, music and dancing.
Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing day in a stunning part of the Greek med, all hosted by a fantastic crew. I will cherish memories from this cruise for a long time. Special shout out to polyglot Maria who took the time to speak to every guest, delivering history lessons in the AM and leading an onboard disco all the way home. This trip is a must. The caves and turquoise waters are magical

A beautiful cruise, wonderful views, friendly service. The bar has a fairly large selection of food and sweats. I recommend it, it's really worth it. It is a pity that it was not translated into Polish, because we bought tickets for Sunday, where the guide was also supposed to translate in Polish, but unfortunately there was no translation in Polish. It was a big problem for the kids

After being on this boat trip, I am unsure if I would do a anything like this again.
We were told to arrive at the port for 8am, but the boat didn't leave until 9am, so we sat around waiting on the top deck in the sun for an hour.
The seats in the shade are reserved for other guests, and everyone else either has to sit inside (windows don't allow great views) or outside with no shade. Bearing in mind the journey to Paxos is 2.5 hours, this is a long time to be in the sun, especially with the rough choppy seas. We weren't given the option to reserve any seats in the shade.
There were no health and safety announcements or signs on the boat. We weren't told where life jackets were, which I found really concerning. The rails on the side of the boat are not particularly high, and there were no instructions not to lean over. I saw a worrying amount of guests allowing their children to lean over the edges, standing on chairs to lean over. It was really alarming as they could have VERY easily fallen overboard had the boat hit a particularly large wave, and no staff intervened at any point.
The floors were all wet and there were ropes, chairs and general equipment in the way, making it really hard and dangerous to get around the boat, especially outside.
When we arrived at Antipaxos, it was kind of a free-for-all in terms of getting off the boat. Some guests who had jumped off first were then swimming back to the boat and trying to climb back up the ladders to jump off again at the same time as other guests were still trying to get into the water. This sounds like a small gripe, but it was really chaotic and we ended up being stuck the boat for 15 minutes because of this, which cut into our time at the island.
We found this day really hard work overall. You are stuck on this boat for almost 12 hours with a lot of other tourists, some of whom can can be ignorant and rude. The amount of travelling time and lack of shade meant we questioned whether the journey there was worth it to experience these beautiful places. We almost felt like we were being herded like animals at times.
Pros
On the way there we saw dolphins! They were absolutely stunning and swam along with the two boats for 15 mins, diving in and out of the waves. That was a really special experience.
Maria the guide was absolutely fantastic, really enthusiastic and I learnt a lot about Corfu and Paxos.
The captain who managed to get us into the Blue Caves is obviously very talented. It was a wonderful experience to be inside the caves.
Swimming in Antipaxos was obviously beautiful and made the long, rough trip worth it.
Paxos is a beautiful island, and the restaurants and beaches there were lovely to visit - we had our best meal from the holiday in Paxos!
