What to expect
Settle aboard the lower or open, upper deck of the Corfu hop-on, hop-off bus at any of the four stops (see Itinerary for a full list) , and don the headphones to hear the pre-recorded commentary (available in eight languages). During the 45-minute loop, hop off and on at any stop to visit the landmarks, creating your own sightseeing itinerary. Alternatively, stay aboard, absorbing the views and commentary to build an overview that will guide your later sightseeing. Take in the 15th-century Old Fortress, and admire the elegant Palace of St. George and St. Michael, the former home of Corfu’s British commissioners that overlooks the Esplanade park. Pass the churches, museums, and ochre-painted Venetian mansions of the Old Town, as the commentary tells the story of this UNESCO-listed district. Perhaps disembark here to explore or have coffee at the Liston, whose 1807 arcades were designed to echo Paris’ Rue de Rivoli. Then, maybe ride to Kanoni to see Pontikonisi Island, nicknamed ‘Mouse Island,’ and the Panagia Vlaherna monastery, the whitewashed church on an island that graces many of Corfu's postcards — choosing to take photos from the bus or hopping off to visit. Buses depart every 60 minutes.

Best way to see Corfu. Bus shows you all the best sights and gives detailed information about the stops. Great experience and staff are friendly and informative.

Wifi is a lie, limit sucks
Nov 2019 • Couples
After 5 min usage, they block internet

Also the audio inside the bus was very bad to hear. They have a Brazil flag but the translation is in portugal portuguese, very very difficult to understand.

Believe me, pay the cheaper company, the price difference is not worthy.

Not the best
Oct 2019
Many of the audio jacks for earphones inoperative. That said there is not much to see and the best part of the sightseeing narrative is the music from the movie Zorba the Greek. Buses run infrequently (hourly) and the number of guests at intermediate stops waiting to re-board may not find room and will have to wait another hour for the next bus.

Best is the walking tour
Oct 2019
For a mere €20 we had access to the hop on hop off bus for almost 2 full days. However, the most valuable and incredibly entertaining and educational component was the walking tour that is offered at 11 and 1300. Dimitrios Karalis was our guide, he is a graduate student in Athens and also a very knowledgeable historian and archaeologist. The walking tour is a comprehensive three hour in-depth review of hidden gems within the city of Athens. Dimitrios is incredibly knowledgeable even at the PhD level. He speaks perfect English and his stories are riveting making the three hours flyby almost too fast. Other private tours (there were only seven people in our group) cost up to €100. The fact that this walking tour is included in the €20 price for the hop on hop off bus is truly unbelievable. This was the best part of the entire week in Athens!

Hop on Hop off-stay away
Oct 2019 • Couples
Worst hop on hop off ever. Feel totally ripped off. 19 Euro for nothing. Listening device didn't work. Jammed into the seat. Seat being wet The second line you have to pay extra for. Nothing really to see. I'd skip this whole island as it's in total disrepair.

Good commentary
Sep 2019
Very helpful staff sold us our tickets at the booth before the bus arrived and advised us how to get the best out of our day, which bus to catch to which destination and where to change, etc. We boarded a single decker with open sides and had very pleasant journeys with a most informative commentary. No problems whatsoever but it was a quiet time of year.

Covers All It Can
There is only so much they can do - there isn’t a heap of attractions in Corfu. The cost was EUR48 for two of us to catch both lines available. One line circuits inner Corfu and one goes out to Acheillon Palace. We went out to the palace, caught one stop back and then walked over the causeway and picked up the other line. Not exactly reliable for time and the quality of the audio was patchy. We did get everywhere we planned and back to our ship in time.

It was funny that we jumped from brand of bus to the other without issue. Not sure if they are all commonly owned.

Sightseeing tour
Don’t waste your money. Get a local bus as it’s much cheaper. We paid €38 for the two of us to go to the port and back. We were promised 14 stops with hop on and off.Even a taxi would have been better value. Don’t listen to the sales people they are only try to sell tours ! Waste of money

Not a fan of this particular Tour
Sep 2019
I typically love Hop-on Hop-Off tours. I think they can be great ways to get area to a lot of areas in a short period of time or over the course of the day at your leisure; however, the tour in Corfu was a huge disappointment.

Check in: Disorganized and confusing.
We got off of our cruise early in the morning. I had purchased tickets prior for the shorter Line as we only had about 5-6hrs in port. The short line could be seen round trip in ~2hours or so. This would leave us enough time to get off, take some pics, see some things and still get back on time. We walked from port to where we saw the buses to check in. I handed in our printed tickets and the lady looked confused by it. It took her awhile to figure whatever she needed to before finally telling us to stand to the side for someone else. She gave us a map and we stood to the side. I wasn't really sure why we were waiting, as there was a bus there already and we just wanted to get on and get going. We waited some more and finally some guy came over trying to tell me that we wouldn't have enough time to get on the bus and be back. I start to ask him a question and he stops me mid sentence by putting up his hand as he goes and says hello to some guy for a few minutes. Totally rude.

Now technically, there are two tours. Line A and Line B. One is shorter than the other and can be done in a couple hours. The other would take way too much time BUT we were NOT planning on doing that one. I tried explaining that we ONLY wanted to do the shorter line, and not the longer tour. He didn't seem to understand fully..just restating we would miss our boat. So I ask, how long does it take for the shorter line? He said a few hours. I said ok, that's the one we want...we have time for that. I said, can you just tell us what bus to get on and how we know whether we are on the right line..line A or B. All he kept saying was, "any city sightseeing bus...you'll know, its simple". No real directions. We jump on the bus after that confusion, I double checked with the driver we were on the "short" route, he said yes, and we were off.

Bus & Ride:
When we got on the bus, the driver said the top was completely full. Bummer as it was open and had better views. We sat downstairs in a HOT bus the whole time. We were sweating and couldn't wait to get to the first stop. Thankfully, we were given headphones and were listening to it, as its the only way you'll hear the stops. No one said them out loud. We then proceeded to sit in heavy traffic on a one way street filled with cars and mopeds for 45min to an hour to get to stop 1. We were already aggravated but were happy to get somewhere.

Stops on route:
I found basically all but one stop to be worth it, personally, and that was the fort. Every other stop was very disappointing in comparison to other location sites. The first stop only had a restaurant and a church on an island that you could only get to by boat. We literally got off, walked around for 15minutes and went back to the bus stop. We got on, still no seats up top, and got off at stop 2. There was nothing really to see here either. A few historical buildings on some greenery paths. We took a few pictures and waited for the next bus once again. Buses did stop regularly for the most part. Most coming every 15-20minutes. At the next stop, it was kind of a beachy area. You could eat at a restaurant. Look at a windmill. Walk down a pier and go in the water if you wanted. Other than that, nothing once again to really see. Since it was hot out and we were stuck in an even hotter bus, we both had headaches and decided to just stay on until the fort. When the fort stop finally came, we got off. Paid extra to get in, and hung out there the rest of our time.

The fort was arguably the best stop we saw and we both wished we had just gone straight to it and forwent the other "stops". The fort was really pretty and we would have loved to climb all the way to the top but we were running low on time now and didn't want to risk it. There are restrooms and a restaurant within the fort walls as well, and it was a very pleasant end of the day for us. Being near the water, climbing the fort stairs or sitting on a bench was very relaxing and we got a lot of great photos.

Bus Home:The day ended the same way it started...disorganized and confusing. Once we left the fort, we stood were the bus was to pick us up. We were waiting about 25 minutes and I started to get nervous that maybe it wasn't coming. I looked around and then saw our bus driver from the previous bus sitting there. I got increasingly more nervous by that b/c i found it weird he was there with no bus. I went up to him and asked, is this where we get on for the bus? And he just said yes. Fine, we wait some more. I see no buses. In the distance I finally see a bus coming but its not the "city sight-seeing" red bus we've been on ALL day. It's a different bus. I see everyone online start to walk over to it, and I'm so confused! I run up to a different women asking "when's the city sightseeing bus coming"...She says, oh that one's done for the day, you have to get on this one now. WHAT?! How would we have known that? So here we go running to try to make this bus and a lady stops us saying, "do we have tickets?" I say, yes...and show her the ones given to us earlier...She says, "oh, no you need new ones for this bus" and proceeds to have to reprint us new tickets. I gotta tell ya, I still have no clue what the hell was happening in those last moments. Why did no one tell us? Why didn't the actual bus driver inform us we needed to get on a new bus with a DIFFERENT name! Had we kept waiting, we wouldn't have found our other bus apparently and really would have missed our boat.

Bottom Line: Don't bother with this tour. Take a cab to the fort and explore the area on your own, especially if you are on a cruise and don't get all day. Not worth the stress that this tour is supposed to actually take out of your day.
