I treated my husband to a private cruise aboard Valkyria, a charming Lagoon 380 catamaran that’s cuter than a puppy in a bowtie. Booking & Schedule Changes Two days before our trip, our booking was bumped forward by a day. This was fine, but considering I had booked two months in advance, I was surprised that the reason—a local holiday—was only brought up so late. Since it wasn’t a newly added holiday, it felt like something that should have been managed earlier. While we were flexible, it would have been nice to receive some acknowledgment for accommodating their schedule change. Sailing Expectations vs. Reality I specifically chose a sailboat because I wanted to experience sailing. Unfortunately, we ended up motoring the entire time. The reason given for not using the sails didn’t seem convincing, and given that I had booked well in advance and made my sailing expectations clear, I would have appreciated more transparency. If there had been a legitimate issue, they should have informed us ahead of time and given us the option to cancel. I also noticed other boats of a similar size and type sailing, suggesting that conditions were suitable. I wish I had asked written confirmation that the boat is in proper sailing condition and sailing would be included in a sailing tour. Once I realized we had been hoodwinked, I wanted my money back. Port & Departure The port was chaotic—boats jostling for space like a Black Friday sale. We waited about 25 minutes for Valkyria to dock, and our departure was about 15 minutes late due to other boats having priority. At least we were able to wait in the shade of the port’s only minimarket, so while this wasn’t ideal, it also wasn’t the company’s fault. What They Did Well • Clear Instructions & Punctual Transfers: They sent detailed meeting point instructions near our hotel, complete with a picture of the exact spot. Our driver arrived precisely on time—and whisked us away in a luxury Mercedes van. The 25-minute drive from Firostefani to the port was smooth. At the port, our driver handed us off to Irene from Ippokampos, who guided us efficiently to the waiting area. • Professional & Organized Crew: Before departure, Irene gave us a thorough safety briefing on shore, followed by another from the captain onboard. The rules were simple and easy to follow. • Immaculate Boat: Valkyria was spotless and well-maintained. • Fantastic Crew & Service: The captain and sailor were delightful—polite, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Everything ran seamlessly: music options were great (or you could play your own), towels and snorkeling gear were neatly arranged, and even the fish seemed to show up on cue. Drinks flowed freely, and service was top-notch. • The Food! Lunch was an absolute highlight—a floating feast of deliciousness. We enjoyed salad, grilled chicken, grilled veggies, tzatziki, stuffed vine leaves, pasta with sauce, and more. As a gesture for the date change, we were offered baklava, which was divine. However, the lunch spot was a popular mooring area, so while the food was fantastic, the ambiance was more crowded and less peaceful. Final Thoughts We opted for sightseeing instead of swimming and chilling, but our tour ran exactly as everyone else's. For anyone interested in proper sightseeing and exploration, this tour it not the one to take. And if you truly want to sail, book somewhere else. For the ones who wants content for their social media feed, this is spot on. However, if I ever return to Santorini, I'll book someone else.

We bumped into a lovely lady called Irene on Kamari beach and explained in great detail about the catamaran boat trip. From this point onwards the customer care was on point, care and attention was second to none. Irene arranged to pick us up from our hotel by taxi to take us to the port/harbour. She took us to the catamaran to be introduced to the captain and explained again what the day was to involve. We went three different places to swim and enjoy the stunning views, one of which was the hot springs. This was a great experience to swim in. We were given many beers and local wine throughout the trip and also included a beautiful lunch (chicken/shrimps/salad etc). On the way back to the harbour we stopped to turn around to watch the most spectacular sunset with another beer/wine with background music. Me and the wife are so looking forward to going back next year to do it all again. Hopefully we will be lucky enough to see some dolphins this time. Once back to the harbour Irene greeted us and made sure our day went well also took us to our waiting taxi for the return drop off back to our hotel. Irene has so much love for her job and her customers, what a beautiful lady. Highly recommend to all Thank you Irene and we will see you next year.

The Catamarang trip was outstanding. It is an entire afternoon into the sunset. The sulpure water at the volcano rocks 🪨 is an experience to swim in. The scenery changes throughout. food & beverages are plentiful & delicious and the staff team both on the ground and the boat are great hosts with the gift of hospitality. I don’t believe a Russian oligarch 💰 could have a better time on his private craft!!! Well worth it.

The view was amazing. The staff was really friendly and professional which made the experience worthwhile. I would recommend this to anyone, any age. The best ive had!!!!!

My boyfriend and I are visiting from Florida and was looking for a romantic peaceful cruise l. This was everything we expected for a sunset cruise. The hospitality was great, our drinks were always full, the food was delicious, and the tour guide stopped to explain every single stop in detail to us. We got to see some amazing places and watch a beautiful sunset. I did a lot of research on reviews, pictures, and value for your money and this one seemed the best. It didn’t definitely disappoint!! If you are looking for a sunset cruise and willing to do a little more research this is VERY worth the value!!

We did the sunset cruise with meal. Irene was great, organised transfer from our hotel in kamari and met us at the atm by the port. The ship was spotlessly clean and only a small number of passengers - 12. We made 3 stops although we didn’t swim at the last one. The meal was great. The smell of the grill was wonderful. Trip didn’t feel rushed at all and the sunset was gorgeous. Very well organised. Driver waiting for us when we got off the boat would definitely recommend it is worth the money. I would take water on board with you though as they are not forthcoming with drinks, even soft drinks, and you cannot help yourself. This is not a booze cruise but that was not what we wanted.

I booked this trip about two months ago thinking it would be an amazing experience in Santorini. However, it became a adisappoinment vert quickly. Only thing happened on time was pickup which was 9:40 am at our hotel. We arrived at the Harbour at 10 am, we started waiting for Irene by ATM machine (where it was under shade), and then waiting for catamaran. Around 11 am, finally we got on the catamaran. The tour was pretty basic, a young staff was busy doing everything for the tour. The captain looked angry and spoke only to the young staff with scolding voice in Greek. Swimming was nice but snorkeling was so so. The tour was done and we were at the hourbor at 2:30 pm. Another waiting started. I jokingly said that we would have to wait for half an hour for minivan as the tour was supposed to end at 3 pm. The tour group started calling and texting Irene about pickup as we were exhausted waiting and she was not responding. I finally got a response back from her blaming traffic jam while she was taking in another tour group for sunset. Overall, it was pretty horrible and unorganized.

Really disappointing day trip … Santorini is a beautiful island and the Catamaran was a decent enough boat but the staff from pick up, on the boat itself and then transfer home was far from acceptable given how much the trip cost. When we booked we were given a location and pick up time, at 11:30pm the night before we were getting phone calls and messages advising of an earlier pick up which we didn’t get until the morning as we were asleep. Arrived at the new time requested for no one to arrive then 10 mins later a phone call to ask us to meet at another place. Staff on the boat itself were very hard working but unfriendly and aggressive Once we arrived back at the harbour it then took over an hour for a mini bus to take us back. Really not worth the cost at all.

This 5hr tour goes by quickly with all the places and things we did. The views of the cliffs, beaches, and volcano felt like we were in another world. Our guide was wonderful and cooked up a massive feast with a variety of food with plenty left for seconds. He was a one man show sailing the boat, cooking the food, topping up our drinks and educating us on our surroundings. It was impressive, but also left us a little concerned if anything happened to him. Regardless of that, I highly recommend this activity in Santorini!

This was the best boat experience ever. We’ve booked many private catamarans around the world (I.e, Korea, Thailand, Caribbean), but nothing compared to the amazing customer service and food provided by this company. The hostess was so warm and friendly, Captain Valentino was attentive and interested in making this experience the best, and Nikolaos was very helpful caring for the kids. This was the best spread we’ve ever had and the sites were captivating. If fortunate to ever come back, we will definitely book this company again! Thank you for the most amazing experience!

I am sorry it’s taken me 2 weeks to write this review, but we are just now back from our trip. We were in Santorini as a cruise port sailing odyssey of the seas last week of may. I did lots of research before deciding on a cruise vs seeing the town. I made a great choice, even if I do say so myself. lol We did have to manage the cable car and they got us a ride to Oia bc that was the only place the catamaran could sail out of. However! Because we were a small group and all of us from Odyssey, Irene was able to make it happen so we were dropped back off at our tender port. Our crew was the best! Valentino took us to private mooring spots away from the crowds of other boats. It was amazing! They cooked for us on board and the food was delicious! And listen, I’m from Florida and sunsets are a dime a dozen, so I wasn’t expecting to be so blown away by that Santorini sunset, but I WAS!!! Please pleased give this a try. Zero regrets! ❤️❤️

I had the most amazing experience. I booked this cruise for my birthday and It was the best decision I made. The atmosphere and vibes were great, the food was amazing too! Valentino the captain made the experience 100% worth it. My phone is full of amazing photos from this cruise!! Definitely recommend when visiting Santorini!

Beautiful cruise and sunset. The sights are incredible. Our crew was Valentino and Anthony. They were informative, hospitable, and prepared us a delicious meal and served us drinks. The water is too cold for getting in or snorkeling, in my opinion, but a few brave souls went in and swam. We could see the sea floor and fish from the boat as well, on our hot springs stop.

Wow!! What a fantastic experience we had. Irene met us at the marina prior to setting off on the catamaran, which made us feel very comfortable and welcoming. The crew members on the catamaran were so friendly and helpful, which made our trip amazing 🤩 The had had great knowledge of the island which was extremely enjoyable to listen to. The food was delicious and we would happily take another trip with his company in a heartbeat. It exceeded way beyond our expectations.

Everything exceeds our expectations, it was like living a dream, a dream that Ippokampos cruise made possible. Very helpful and friendly crew members, and the wonderful ( Irene) that made our trip to Greece one to remember. A lifetime experience to see the wonderful sunset in the Mediterranean Sea.
