Makis was amazing. He customized our trip for us. We wanted to see the beach - he took us to the best beach - we wanted to stay on the beach - he worked out a deal with locals to get us beach seating and umbrellas on the beach for free (normally 100 euro) - we wanted to see a local winery - he got us reservations to a local winery and got us off-the-menu tastings. Can't recommend Makis enough if you want the best that the island can offer and not just the high priced corporate travel experience.

We did a custom tour and it was fantastic! I can’t say enough good things about Makis. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and took us to all of the best locations on Santorini. Don’t hesitate to book with him. He is a true local with great connections to the island. We had the best day!

This is only my second review in TripAdvisor, I really needed to do this one, Makis was just special , professional, as passionate as you could expect from a real local guide proud of the island he was born and grew up, his knowledge of details of the history of the island are probably unmatchable, he offered the possibility of customizing our tour based on our interests and recommended places that we have to go back to, half way through the day and visiting the Black Beach he took us to a restaurant where we had the best fish we have ever had, he handpicked the waiter, the fish, and made it a great experience, and the end of the tour we went to a winery, a special one and did some wine tasting, am excellent experience!!! We already gave his contact info to a friend of us that plans to be here in the next month and we will definitely be back and ask for him to be our guide.

If I could give Makis 20 stars, I would!! Makis provided transportation, but it was his energy, knowledge, and love for his island and the guests that visit that was the cherry on top. He’s definitely Mr. Santorini and it was such a pleasure to meet him! He will take such good care of you and you will learn so much about Santorini because he’s a true local. Makis was exceptional! He was fun, professional, and provided much information on the city’s culture and history. We were on a tight schedule since we were on a cruise and he made sure that he took us to as many places as he could before getting us back to the ship on time. He even made time and knew all the awesome photo spots that weren’t too crowded. I would highly recommend a tour with Makis !!! :)

Makis is passionate about Santorini having lived there all his life and is very knowledgeable about its history and geography. There is nothing he doesn’t know! We had a limited time (3.5 hours) to tour the island in his very comfortable car (we had visited Oia previously so didn’t revisit) and we had a wonderful tour with a mixture of scenery, an attractive village (Megalochori), history (the excavations at Akrotiri) and flavours of Santorini (a winery). Makis was a very likeable, friendly guide and we greatly enjoyed our tour of his island.
