- natalietN9720DZ0 contributionsPerfect Way to Start Your Naxos TripMy husband and I did this tour on our first day in Naxos, and I couldn't recommend a better way to be introduced to the island. Our guide's name is Evvie, and she was incredibly insightful and kind. We were in awe by the winding roads and alleys. We also discovered a ton of cute spots to visit during our time here. It's so easy to get lost in here, so we were thankful to have a guide. This is a must for anyone visiting Naxos!Written December 31, 2024
- Sunshine273770510400 contributionsExcellent Sunset Mythology TourI highly recommend the Naxos Old Town Castle Portara Sunset Tour. I brought a group of 13 women in October, 2024. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour guide Georgina! She was informative and fun. We especially liked the connection to Greek mythology. The tour gave an excellent overview of the town and castle area. It was a beautiful night and a special way to end our time on Naxos.Written November 18, 2024
- kathleenannt0 contributionsNaxos at it's best! Our Cultural tour in Naxos was wonderful. I think our tour guides name was Nanda and she was excellent. Lots of historical information with an animated storytelling! We booked the tour quite quickly through our accommodations owner and didn't really read how lengthy the tour would be. Both being Seniors and having a bit of mobility issues we did find the length, stairs and hills a bit challenging. Nanda was so good at asking how we were doing along the tour. We do not regret in any way doing this tour as we saw so much more than we would on our own.Written October 18, 2024
- L6835VDcourtneym0 contributionsHighly recommended tourA very fascinating, in-depth tour of Naxos town touching on Greek mythology and stopping for wine and snacks. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and great with the kids in our group—she got them involved and interested and was very patient with the youngest child when his attention span decreased after a long day! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Naxos.Written October 18, 2024
- Lori M0 contributionsNaxos Village food tour with Elizabeth. Perfect!Elizabeth was our guide on the Naxos Village food tour and she was amazing!! We experienced a few different villages, all of the food was amazing, she gave us not only information on food but also historical, cultural, and mythological information. And she was a charming hostess. Amazing tour!Written October 18, 2024
- Guide5635890 contributionsWell worth it !!The five hour tour flew by quickly . We boarded a small touring bus with AC that seats 10-12 so was a nice group . Our tour guide Maria was so informative of the Island and answered all our questions! The roads up in the hills are narrow and winding and our driver had amazing skills and I’m glad I wasn’t driving !! We visited three villages and had delicious homemade foods and sampled local made foods .we also sampled Raki at a local distillery that was 4 generations old . The whole experience was a highlight of our trip !!Written October 16, 2024
- MikeA9870 contributionsHighlighting the best of Naxos. Beauty, charm and history. My wife and I booked two tours, the sunset mythological tour and a full day private best of Naxos tour. We were fortunate enough to have had the same tour guide Labrina. What a delight she was. Great personality, and full of knowledge and very enthusiastic. Naxos is a more laid back but beautiful island steeped in history of course. I highly recommend Naxos Cultural Tours and tour guide Labrina is a definite asset to the company.Written October 13, 2024
- Matthew M0 contributionsGreat quick visit to 2 Islands- learned so much! This was such a wonderful way to learn about Delos and Mykonos. We traveled from Naxos and someone from the company met us at the port in Naxos. Our guide was Antonis and he explained everything about the islands with so much passion! It was a great time!Written September 28, 2024
- PamelaGeis0 contributionsFantastic day because of a fantastic guideAntonis met us at Delos and gave a knowledge-filled tour brought to life with dramatic storytelling. We learned much about the ancient history and the excavations, and while on Mykonos we learned about that island’s past as well as its present culture and challenges. I recommend this tour highly, and Naxos Cultural Tours seemed to care about taking care of their guests as well as making sure we learned about the history and culture of these islands. Highly recommended!Written September 25, 2024
- Dream328282727300 contributionsGood overview of the PortaraNot little kid friendly. I had an 8 year old and a 5 year old ( for reference ) and an easily collapsible stroller to contend with but it was still difficult. It’s a ton of walking, Geared toward adults. Also not a ton of mythology per se. Wouldn’t go again.Written August 3, 2024
- Kim R0 contributionsWalking, wine, and stories!Great way to see beautiful Naxos! We were a group of 4 friends and we did the sunset walking tour with wine and LOVED it! Our guide, Labrina, was excellent. Great mix of being highly knowledgeable and also quite fun and a great story teller. Highly recommend this tour to those that want an on the ground sense for the island and also get some local info on Greek mythology!Written August 1, 2024
- neffieNorthport_NY0 contributionsFantastic tourWe had a marvelous time on this tour with our fantastic guide Elizabeth and driver Stefanos. Elizabeth was very friendly and extremely knowledgable. Kudos to Stefanos for his expertise in driving! Great food and drink (and lots of it!), wonderful scenery, delightful villages. Loved this tour and I highly recommend it.Written July 24, 2024
- areyes1230 contributionsGreat intro to Naxian VillagesWe organized a private food tour of the villages of Naxos. This was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Our guide Elizabeth was highly knowledgeable and our driver Mike was excellent. Elizabeth guided us through 3 villages and we learned about the history of each town as well as the culinary traditions of Naxos. Mike even pick up some Naxian marble for us to keep as souvenirs. We had 4 children with us and they loved it as well. It was their favorite of the excursions we took - it was 5 hours that felt like just a few because we were all entertained. If anything I wish we had a bit more time in some towns to go into a shop. Regardless, it was a very worthwhile experience to get a taste of Naxos villages.Written June 26, 2024
- Br00klynL0ngh0rn0 contributionsGreat way to Gastronomically explore NaxosElizabeth was the best tour guide EVER! Extremely knowledgeable and kind - she made this one of the best food tours we have ever taken. This is a GREAT way to see Naxos villages and experience their superior culinary skills. The food was fantastic. Can’t recommend this tour strongly enough.Written June 23, 2024
- meahganj20210 contributionsCancelled without notice & still chargedCancelled the tour with zero notice but still charged me. I was waiting at the meeting point for quite some time. I called the company and asked if the tour was still happening, to which they replied, “yes it is, just stay where you are”. Finally, the woman working at the bus station took pity on me and called the guide who was meant to be there, and only then did she tell me the tour had been cancelled. I don’t know if trip advisor dropped the ball or if the guide decided on her own that the tour wouldn’t be happening, but the experience was very upsetting, given that they still charged me. This was a solo trip for my birthday, and while I understand that things happen, not letting folks know what is going on, especially with enough time to plan something else for the few days they are here, was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.Written May 30, 2024

Natasha really made our tour special. She was well organized, kept the pace flowing throughout the tour and she was super knowledgeable and was able to answer our many questions. There were so many stops with rich history and delicious treats to try. Our supper stop was amazing and the food was plentiful. The wine and raki were delightful and we really enjoyed all of the stops we went on especially the cheese shop. This tour is well worth the money as you are so full when you are done and you learn so much about Naxos along the way. If you are looking for a walking food and wine tour, choose this one - you won't regret it!!

This was such a special experience for us in Naxos. It exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend spending an evening doing this tour. You won’t regret it.
We loved learning about the city and it’s rich food culture. We visited places we would have never gone to otherwise. The next day we even went back to the same local stores to pick up more of the delicious wine, cheese and desserts!!
A big kudos to Katia too. You can tell she loves what she does and is passionate about supporting local and sharing the beauty of Naxos. She made the experience what it was. Thank you so much!

We had a great time on the tour with Katia. The food was delicious, but her knowledge of history and discussion of current events was what made the tour special. It felt like we got a window into Greek society and an amazing history lesson in one package, along with fabulous food! I recommend going early in your trip so you can return to the places she shows you. Also, unlike other food tours we’ve been on, you feel full but not ill at the end!

Really recommend this food tour - great way to spend three hours exploring the Naxos port area. Nastasha our guide was very knowledgeable with a great and bubbly personality so made the tour enjoyable. Was taken to a number of tasting experiences and there was no shortage of food - especially at the last spot where we had a fabulous meal. Had the company of six other people from various locations over the world so was a nice combination of people. Terrific value for money. Highly recommend.

In every place we visit we always book a food tour to get to know the local cuisine. But this one turned out to be a lot more. As we walked around Hora and the castle our appetite was building up and every stop rewarded us with delicious produce. For us, the highlight was the orange pie (nothing like what we have tried before!), but we also loved the famous Naxian cheeses and the carefully selected dinner. Our guide, Katia, gave us an excellent introduction to the local history and culture and even gave us tips for our next days on the island. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Naxos!

Natasha was very engaging. We figured there would not be much food although for $80 a pop it could be sufficient. We were totally surprised at the amount of food and drink that was supplied and it was all local….the wine, Raki and Kitron. Our guide allowed enough time for us to interact and eat. I can’t recommend this tour enough.

Fascinating insight into the history & unique culinary legacy of Naxos. Katia was very knowledgeable, engaging & responsive to our questions. We learned about the concept of ‘parea’ (? spelling) and ate & drank really well. Definitely recommended!

We loved this tour! Katia is friendly and knowledgeable, she took us to great places and made the whole evening fun. She shared lots of information about local history and culture, as well as the food. Even though we had already been in Naxos for a week, she took us to places we hadn't discovered. The tour would also be a great introduction to Naxos town for new arrivals. Being in a small group made the experience relaxed and personal. It was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended. Thank you, Katia.

This is the best food tasting tour we have ever taken. Our guide, a passionate young teacher, led us through beautiful little streets and introduced us to traditional Naxian food, each dish accompanied by captivating tales and fascinating stories. The various dishes were delicious, colorful, and plentiful. We are even considering taking the tour with her again :-)
Highly recommended!

Excellent well organised and informative tour. Natasha was a fantastic guide with great local knowledge of both the food we sampled and the history of the town. She took us around areas of Naxos town we might otherwise have not found. Definitely not to be missed.
