About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- smd20090 contributionsGreat full day outWe thoroughly enjoyed our sailing tour with xanemo sailing. Kostos and Alex looked after us really well and took us to some gorgeous spots to snorkel and swim. The wind and waves were a bit wild but they reassured us that was normal and sure enough the boat didn’t capsize!!! 🤣 A lovely day out with lovely lunch and drinks. There was 10 of us on the tour and plenty room for everyoneWritten September 10, 2024
- V5623NThannahb0 contributionsLovely relaxed day at sea.Lovely small group tour. The bays we anchored in were beautiful. Little marine life around the island though. The wind was strong meaning my sea sickness did get the better of me a little bit but that didn’t detract from the day. The captain was fabulous and in control of the boat the whole day. The food was good and they catered for a vegetarian option. We left at half 8 and got back after 6 ready to catch the sunset at the Temple of Apollo.Written August 9, 2024
- Lachlan J0 contributions10/10 would do againWe absolutely loved our trip, the guides were amazing and friendly and there was only one other couple on the boat so it felt like a private cruise.Written July 29, 2024
- D2318JMjonw0 contributionsNon-sailing day out on a sail boat trip down to the lesser CycladesAn enjoyable day out on a sailing boat, albeit the sails were never used as there was insufficient crew to safely man the sails. A great way to see Naxos and the lesser Cyclades from the water. Lovely spots for a swim and chill out. The return journey gets a little rough due to the prevailing winds and tide but all in an all a fun day out. Disappointing morning tea of dry bread with slices of processed turkey and cheese. Plenty of water and other refreshments.Written July 12, 2024
- Culture355359471580 contributionsA perfect day in Naxos! An excellent day on the sailboat. Everything was perfect. If you want to spend a beautiful day, trust the crew. A huge thank you for everything. Don't change a thing!Written June 7, 2024
- mattdY6755VQ0 contributions6 out of 5 Stars! The trip will be the highlight of our trip to Naxos. Alex and Acosto went out of their way to extend every hospitality-we made three stops to snorkel and swim (which included a cave and the remnants of a 1943 plane that crashed), we were well fed and almost all of the food was Naxian, they were constantly offering beverages (whether water, soda, wine or beer was your preference), and they shared knowledge of Greece and Naxos while also expressing genuine interest in getting to know their passengers. It was an amazing day for our three teenage daughters, my husband and I-highly recommend!Written June 4, 2024
- Bigalcornwell0 contributionsAwesome day outAlex and Tom, the captain and co captain were excellent. Very knowledgeable about Naxos and surrounding islands. My wife and I had a great dayWritten August 20, 2023
- Diane K0 contributionsThe best day!I’ve read the reviews and I have to say, for me, it was the best experience. I booked a similar excursion in Italy and was very disappointed. Although Alex is young, I felt very safe. He has obviously been sailing all his life and is extremely competent and careful. We were shown how to use a life jacket and how to leave the boat in an emergency, what else do you want, and some people were asked to sit out the front, on cushions, while we departed the wharf. Alex explained the need to be able to access ropes. Two of us remained on seats as we were older. Everyone else seemed to enjoy the experience and came back to the seats when they wanted to. Some stayed out for much of the day. Lunch was great and we were offered as much to drink as we wanted. There were no restrictions and no excesses. I had the best day! Everyone on board seemed as thrilled as I was. Alex explained what we were seeing, where we visited and history. Lots of swimming and snorkeling. Get a grip folks. I can’t believe you can grumble so much about what for all of us on my day, was a great experience. You’re on holiday!!Written August 3, 2023
- 945henningw0 contributionsNice and relaxed day on a boatBooked this trip with my son. We were 10 people in total, spending a great day at 4 different locations around Paros. Swimming and snorkeling were fun, even though the spots where we stopped seemed a bit random to me. Panos is not the most talkative guy in the world, so didn't learn much about the surroundings. But he and Anastasia took care that we all felt well. Food and drinks were fine, particularly the lunch was delicious. Overall, it was a nice and relaxed experience, I'd certainly book it again.Written July 31, 2023
- cosmins20170 contributionsNaxos Day Sailing tripGreat day sailing trip to some really fantastic spots. The crew were super friendly and made us all feel welcome and comfortable. Pros: fantastic views, great swimming, decent food on board too. Cons: could have made it more entertaining by simply playing some music at a higher volume level than 2. There are 2 variations of this kind of trip: this sailing boat and a catamaran. It seemed the catamaran was more happening. People were in the same spots as us, just their boats were more "party" oriented. Nothing crazy, just simply having a better time because they had music playing! Music makes for a better atmosphere, always. And when you're spending this kind of money ($400+ CAD for two), you expect to be entertained, all around. We did the same style trip in Santorini on a catamaran and it was definitely better.Written July 9, 2023
- christE3010PJ0 contributionsNot as advertisedVery unhappy with our trip. Not at all as advertised. This was a nice boat ride, but it was NOT a tour. The crew was two people - a captain (a kid in his 20s) and a helper (another kid in her 20s). The helper napped during the trip. The captain vaped the entire time. Neither of them spoke a word about Greece or what we were seeing. The “breakfast” was a piece of Wonder bread with one slice of cheese and one slice of ham. The “lunch feast” was one pork kebab and pita. No HD pictures. None of the food mentioned in the listing, or activities. Really disappointed. We wanted a tour were we would learn about what we were seeing, but the “captain” ignored us the entire time.Written July 5, 2023
- mlkuttner0 contributionsA fantastic day with Xanemo!First of all, I am amazed at the negative description of Alex (if it's the same person) as a captain because we were so impressed and pleased by the experience he and Katerina provided for us. It was clear that our comfort and safety was the top priority. It's best to be flexible because, with Naxos' constantly changing winds, we were not able to visit the small Cyclades. Disappointment became satisfaction as Alex explained that going south would be hours of rough seas and instead sailed us to some beautiful coves off of Paros for the day. We were provided with several excellent swimming and snorkeling experiences, the boat was clean and comfortable, the snacks and lunch were fresh and tasty. Plentiful amounts of water, beer and wine were available and Alex and Katerina took lots of photos to share.Written June 29, 2023
- cathytra0 contributionsSmall but with all the amenities of a great dayThis is the best way to see the islands and spectacular beaches near or on Naxos. The sailboat is designed for just a dozen or so people, and the service provided is terrific. I can't believe how great (and healthy!) the lunch and snacks were. The captain is assisted by a wonderful woman who seems to anticipate your needs. Very knowledgeable crew and very comfortable and intimate boating dayWritten June 6, 2023
- Camper489594643410 contributionsNaxos Girls TripMy friends and I did the day boat tour in late May of 2023. We had a really fun time and would definitely go again. We also really enjoyed the presence of the captain (Alexi) who was chilling throughout the entire experience and let us play our music.Written June 2, 2023
- Cambridgegal1010 contributionsEnd of the seasonWe went on this day trip on October 3rd. There were 6 of us. It was windy so they took us to 2 towns along the islands to explore. My friend and I stayed on the boat to swim and experience the water. There were no water toys offered but we found 2 noodles to use. We were never offered a drink, not even water in the 9 hours we were on the boat. All 6 of us had to ask each time. No music on the boat except when we played our own. They had some musice at lunch. The lunch was slovaki and it was delicious. There was fresh fruit at the end and a sandwich in the morning. I think that because we were at the end of the season there just wasn't an interest in our group. We had done a boat trip in paros a few days prior and it was so much fun. We made it a great day and it was truly great. End of the season though.Written October 3, 2022

5 stars are not enough. My husband and I spent 3 incredible days on the Aegean with Panos, Ina and Alex in mid-September as part of our honeymoon. We were greeted with welcome drinks/snacks and given a thorough safety overview before setting sail for 3 magical days.
Panos, the ship's owner, served as captain for our trip. He involved us in planning the agenda, dropped anchor in beautiful inlets only accessible by boat and took us to some of the smaller Cyclades we would not otherwise have explored. In addition to this, he took pictures, made dinner reservations for us and sourced ingredients for our meals aboard.
Ina took fantastic care of us -- making sure we never went hungry or thirsty. She prepared the most beautiful breakfasts and lunches with the freshest ingredients and kept us well supplied with Mythos, wine and water. Weeks later and we're still talking about those perfect Mediterranean lunches.
Alex served as second captain for our trip. He took us ashore in the dingy, went swimming and snorkeling with us, and worked closely with Panos to ensure our safe travel. In addition to making sure we were having fun, he also served as the resident doctor aboard. I had a fall going between the dingy and ship and later cut my arm while snorkeling, Alex quickly jumped in to assess and treat my injuries.
I genuinely cannot say enough good things about our time with this team. We had the best time and are so glad we booked with Xanemo. We ended our trip as friends with promises to return soon for another sail.
