About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mknol950 contributionsSadly, joined an other groupWe were never picked up at the pickup point. After 40 minuten we had contact with someone from the company, but not helpful. We joined an other bus tour to the Samarian Gorge and their guide told us, after a round a table question among the other guides, that our tour was cancelled because there tour was the only one for that day from Rethymno. So maybe it is a good tour company with a great guide but sadly we could not experience that.Written June 18, 2023
- Z8419DQandrewd0 contributionsNon-starterWe had booked a tour of the Imbros Gorge with them and, after confirming the start time via email, were at the pick-up point early. Half an hour on the phone with customer service later and we weren't going as the driver was 'on the road' and hadn't tried to contact us. Unable to say if the rest of the tour was any good.Written July 18, 2022
- 129beverleyd0 contributionsChania city & Kournas LakeIt is a stunning city, I of the most beautiful I have seen in the Mediterranean in all the countries I have been, the market is very large but sell fruits, veg, spices, herbs etc not tacky clothes etc & the people on the stalls are generous, helpful & chatty eg we bought & paid for the 3 fruits we wanted and they called us back & gave us 2 other fruits for free, we visited the harbour & old town, which was bigger than we thought & the famous lighthouse. The whole town is tidy & the water crystal clear. As regards Kournas Lake, it’s a bit of a steep walk down & back but a cafe if you want to sit & look at the view for a whileWritten July 4, 2022
- D8754AQmaxd0 contributionsI missed the trip because I didn't receive any information about the meeting pointI was not able to join the tour as I did not receive any information about the meeting point. The sign-up confirmation says "meet-up at your hotel or city center". I tried calling and sent a message to the given number, but no reply. Otherwise, these are the the best beaches on Crete island, so definitely recommended.Written August 7, 2020
- Geraldine B0 contributionsGreat places but service questionableThe tour duration was sold as 10 hours including travelling time but actually it was just over 9 hours. It was rushed! Moreover we found the whole experience rather disappointing. The Guide gave a good talk both in English and German on the history of Crete from the Neolithic to the struggles against the Ottomans in the nineteenth century and unification with Greece early in the 1900s. All good but somewhat revisionist as it removed any mention of Crete's stoicism and heroism during the twentieth century Fascist occupation. Similarly at the Heraklion Archaeological Museum she expertly explained the key objects in both languages. However by the time we reached Knossos, the tour was mainly in German reflecting the majority on the tour with only a sentence or two in English. Moreover we were rushed at Knossos and given little time to wander around independently. It was quite obvious that they restricted the time allowed as one poor couple being just one minute late were almost left behind. The bus drove off leaving the customers to run and flag down the driver! In hindsight I would recommend foregoing this tour and independently travelling by local bus. All explanations at the Museum and the archaeological site are printed in English.Written October 26, 2019
- Håkan W0 contributionsWell organised tour - lasting memoryVisited the Palace in Knossos 42 years ago. The Klados firms tour is an improvement! To start with the Archeological Museum in Heraklion is a necessary introduction to the Palace of of Knossos and its remains. You can learn a lot from books but too see artefacts from the palace with informative posters in English give you the right feeling and understanding when you see the remains in Knossos. Some birds in Knossos added to the impression of a Palace. It was Ravens and Peacocks. The stop in Heraklion was fine to find a place for lunch and stroll along a street with many shops.Written October 7, 2019
- Navigate167139516800 contributionsDay out to ChaniaHad a great day out wandering around the alleys and streets of Chania. It gets very busy around the harbour area and the bars/restaurants charge slightly more due to their prime location. there are some lovely places up the side alleys with typical Greek foodWritten July 10, 2019
- Ri S0 contributionsDefinitely worth the visitBeautiful old downtown. We enjoyed walking around and checking out all the shops. Specially the leather shops. Bought couple of items :)Written July 7, 2019
- Dale M0 contributionsA very busy cityLots of things are happening in Chania, pronounced "can ya" in Greek. The walk around the waterfront is very scenic. People everywhere, shops everywhere. Traffic is heavy and not for the faint-of heart. Parking? Good luck. If you prefer city life, this is your place.Written July 3, 2019
- mihaelamika0 contributionsCute old cityCompared with other places in Greece, Chania looks trapped in the 80’s or 90’s, only few buildings are renovated, the streets need a lot of improvment, but they have looots of good coffee shops and restaurants. Not so many things to visit (sightseeing)... but overall... a cute, relaxing city, where nobody is in a hurry, enjoys life, a good coffee and some good tzatzichi :)Written May 7, 2019
