Our most favorite experience of our trip
All of the staff truly provided a delicious and memorable experience. We got to know people from all over the world, enjoyed wine, danced, got to learn delicious authentic Greek recipes and cooking tips, and enjoyed the amazing food. Transfer was offered and they even emailed us a recipe book afterwards. Well worth the money and couldn't have asked for a better experience!

          Highlight of the trip
The entire day was one we will never forget. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made the experience what it was. The entire group could not stop raving about the views, the water, the boat and the food! We would rebook in a heartbeat. Thank you to the entire team for making the experience all that it was!

          Gem of a place!
What a gem of a place to find sailing around the South Ionian islands in Greece Tiny little harbour not enough room to dock for the night as only enough room for about 9 yachts We moored out in the bay though which was stunning. Went for a drink in the Windmill taverna, beautiful views of the bay.

See first hand the beauty of Mykonos
Our guide provided wonderful insights to the the islands history and modern day culture. We saw a variety of island areas. There was much more walking required than indicated in the description

A true gem of an experience! A for sure not to miss your!
This was an absolute gem of an experience! We were picked up in OIA and then delivered to our winery in Southern Santorini for an exceptional tour. We initially sampled four different lines and then got a tour of their wine, production facilities, including their seller, and then the highlight of course was the cooking experience with Christy’s and team. I cannot speak highly enough about Krista and his passion for Natural, organic cooking, and the techniques and methods that he parted upon us. The food was absolutely amazing, and this was truly the highlight of our vacation.

Amazing cooking class and wine tasting at a picturesque winery
Amazing wine tasting and cooking class combo! We started with tasting four wines and a tour of the facilities. We then cooked Santorini-style salad, tomatokeftedes (tomato fritters), then fava (lentil puree) with capers and onion, and lastly pork cooked in a dessert wine- you get recipes to take home afterwards too. We cooked using many local ingredients from their picturesque gardens right outside the classroom. The day ended with a wonderful meal and they included a dessert they had made. Highly recommend this amazing experience!

          Must Do Tour!
There's a lot of history here, and walking around with someone knowledgeable helps peel back the layers and put it in context. Our guide Nikos was passionate about the history and equally proud of his hometown, so we got a great picture of both the past and the present. Phenomenal way to see the town!

          Worth every penny
This class surpassed my expectations. You make a variety of dishes and the teacher is very entertaining. Kuria Maria teaches traditonal family recpipes and Parian culutre. A truely authentic Greek experience!

          Improvements Needed
I had genuinely hoped to have an amazing experience on this tour and with this company so I could write a glowing review to counteract some of the not-so-glowing reviews this tour has received. Unfortunately, my overall experience was just average. The trip itself was grand. We successfully made the journey from Thessaloniki to the starting point for the cruise and then completed the cruise. It’s the customer service details where things fell short. At 7am on the morning of the day trip, the sweet (but lacking assertiveness) tour guide wasn’t even holding a sign that said “Mount Athos” nor did the van have a sign specifying the trip. There were at least 100 tourists at the same spot ready for day trips to various places. More effort needs to be put in so tourists know which tour guide is theirs and which vehicle is theirs. Finally, while this was entirely my fault, I left a pair of earrings on the seat of the van we took. The morning after the trip, I messaged the tour company to alert them. It took over a day for them to respond and for them to tell me that the driver of the van “did not find” my earrings while cleaning. Considering these earrings were 2.5” in length and difficult to miss, I can only assume that they were thrown away. Customers of this company deserve better.

          "Lifetime Experience"
Unbelievable to actually experience walking in a volcanic crater, steam rising from all around the sides. Before coming on this trip,we never imagined the sheer size of the crater! Few tips,it can be precarious walking down into the crater,so tread carefully and allow yourself time, wouldn't recommend descent for people a bit unsteady on their feet. Make sure you wear "sensible"footwear, not flip flops etc.but "trainers, sport shoe or good soled shoes as the ground beneath your feet can get pretty hot, what, with the sun beating down,as wearing a hat is also recommended to protect against sunstroke! Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, although on the steep mountainous roads,my wife had her heart in her mouth as the coach navigated the snaking narrow road!

          Not a nice experience.
Went on the Kalypso boat trip around Skiathos and over to the mainland. Boat was so full you could hardly find a place to sit down. Loud banging music played all the time and it was simply dreadful. When we got to Lalaria there were numerous other tripper boats all lined up, so the beach was packed like sardines. We didn't even bother to get off the boat. The village on the mainland was lovely. Put us off doing any more boat trips on our holiday.

          Good food and warm wine
The experience and food was good but unfortunately the wine they served was warm. Everyone was complaining and the establishment wanted us to add ice which watered the wine. The winery that provided the wine is very good which we did a wine tasting earlier that day. They would be soooo disappointed that the wine is served warm.

Terrible Customer Service and Lackluster Trip.
We booked this via Tripadvisor which then went via a company called Viator. I'll start with the positives, athough our overall experience was disapointing the staff were brilliant and the food (although not a BBQ) was nice and the stops we did have were amazing. One of the draws to this perticular boat cruise was the 6 stops and as advertised 'some unique caves and dive from cliffs' we were very disapointed that we did not see any of this, we had only 4 stops to just jump and swim in the open sea which I'm not disputing were amazing but disapointing that the main draw of the trip for us was the chance to go into caves and jump from the cliffs. The food, whilst was good was inconsistent - some people had huge portions with all the seafood whilst ours was half of that and I had no seafood even in mine. We did however have an overall good day but as someone else has commented the boat is rammed so once you've taken your seat you cannot move and get shade and after a full day in blairing heat this can become exhausting. The most overal disapointing part of this was that I contacted Viator to express these concerns and the 'customer care' was quite frankly appauling. After an intial email exchange they stated that 'the weather conditions were favorable and therefore they were unable to offer any sort of compensation' I emailed them back to say if the weather conditions were davourable then why wasnt the full schedule carried out and I got a response within 1 minute of sending my email saying they had taken a second review and that they coud not be of any help. I have emailed them on three seperate occasions and they have still not responded to me. The only reason I emailed to request a partial refund is that we have been on many boat trips of under $50 per person and had the same experience. We paid $200 for 2/3's of the advertised tour.

          Fantastic experience!
I visited here August 2004. What a great couple of hours it was. My partner and I were on holiday in Koukonaries and already had a wonderful Donkey Sanctuary on our doorstep run by a German lady. We made the decision to visit this beautiful dog rescue centre situated high up in the mountains. On arrival, the two Scottish ladies who own the rescue centre make all volunteer walkers very welcome and assess them as to what size of dogs they would be best suited for walking around the mountain path. We were lucky to have two beautiful dogs named Gary & Chesney. Gary was quite old black Labrador and Chesney looked like a cross whippet. Both were very familiar with the route and showed us the way. Chesney managed to slip his collar off half way round and ran all the way home ahead of us. We donated a large sack of dog biscuits before we left and gave a cash donation too for good measure. Anything you give is greatly appreciated. Well done to the lovely Scottish ladies who run the shelter. You deserve reward for your efforts. Steve Holman & Colin Powell

Fabulous and interesting day with Spiridon Tours where we visited the very pretty Nicolaus Agios and Spinalonga island. The tour was well organised, the ferry 20 minutes and the island really interesting. Well worth a day out! Take a tour and expect to start early! Spinalonga is not easily reached from Rethymnon.

We went on an excursion that cost €62 each that included bus transfer ferry ride entry to the Ireland and lunch at the floating restaurant.
The tour guide we had was called Maria she had an amazing Knowledge of the history of this very thought provoking Ireland and the local history.
Tips when you go take an umbrella for shelter with you and a drink and a towel in case you want to paddle your feet after walking around the site there is a small cafe and gift shop it cost me €4 each for a ice lolly.

We were picked up right in front of the hotel just as specified when we booked this trip. The trip started kind slow as the bus picked up more people along the way to east coast but this also had its charm. Once we arrived at Elouda, the boat took us to one of the best small beaches Crete has to offer. While we had fun, lunch was prepared - steak, salad, cheese, bread, and a choice of a drink ; wine or orange juice-. Afterwards the boat took us to Spinaloga where the tour guide provided us with lots of information on Crete and the island's history. Once we landed back at Elouda, the bus proceeded to St Nicholas for time enough for a drink and to take pictures.

It was a long trip from Herakleio but it was worth it. It was the best excursion of the ones I took during this trip. I highly recommend it.

Crete is a large island, and it takes time to get from Heraklion to Spinalonga. Our guide rattled off a few surface-level facts about Spinalonga along the way, but most of the time the bus was quiet and so people were sleeping. When we arrived at Spinalonga, we were just turned loose to explore the island on our own. Rather than learning anything about the island, we just climbed around in the intense sun and wind for about an hour before being corralled back together. We assumed our guide would take us around and teach us about the island, but we assumed incorrectly.

After exploring the island, we went to a little bay and people swam a bit and then we had a BBQ lunch on board the boat. Vegetarians need not apply; it's just lamb and a few veggies. After that, we were dropped off at a nearby town (Agios Nikolaos) to again explore on our own. The town is tiny, but we were thankful to find a decent meal--or at least, we tried to. We went to a restaurant our guide recommended and were disappointed again. And no, we're not picky eaters.

Another long ride back with a crying baby on board the bus rounded off our less-than-informative tour. By the time we arrived back at our drop-off point, we were tired and irritated with the whole thing, and the extra hour it took to drop off everyone at the various pick-up locations didn't help.

All in all, we didn't learn much and were left wanting more... but the crying baby, long bus rides, and disappointing food made us wish we had spent our day elsewhere. We don't recommend this tour.

Enjoyed trip to Spinalonga and seeing Elounda and Aghios Nickolas. There was a barbecue with pork chop and salad(veg option available) Very nice and value for money. Our day trip seemed cheaper than others available. We booked in little tourist shop in old Malia. Shade always available on boat. Wiser to buy drink on boat than on Island! Fanta was 4 euros on Island!

I went on the Spinalonga- Agios Nikolaos from Heraklion Tour in early July 2022 with my bf. They picked us up in an Orange Travel bus with a "Spinalonga" sign in front. I booked the tour through TripAdvisor which states that the tour operator was MTM D.M.C Ltd so there was quite a bit of confusion and the bus drove off to park down the street from us. Thankfully, we chases after it and check again and found that our name was on the list, even though it was spelled incorrectly (which apparently is pretty normal in Greece).

We were the 2nd group to be picked up out of a group of maybe 10 of other stops. It took us over an hour and a half to pick everyone else up for the tour to actually begin. Because of this, we were also the last ones off the bus after dropping everyone else off.

I wish they included an optional section under the inclusion section of the tour descriptions for bringing a bathing suit for a potential dip in the water. Because I did not see an option to go swimming in the ticket booking in the TripAdvisor app, we didn't bring a swimsuit for the occasion. The lunch was a soulvaki pork sandwich that did not include any kind of drink at all. I would recommend either bringing money to buy one or bringing your own for the trip.

The only bottle of water that was given to us was near the end of the tour when we got to the Agios Nikolaos Lake. The water was not cold, nor was there a restroom in the chartered bus the tour was in. The tour guide, Eva, was nice but it was difficult to understand her at times. I ended up falling asleep when she would give her lectures.

All in all, you really get what you pay for. The whole experience wouldn't have been as bad if you were picked up towards the beginning of the tour around 9AM. My bf and I were picked up at 7:35AM at the Ligo krassi ligo thalassa restaurant.

Our guide was really great, but we were herded around the island trying to keep out of other groups ways, and only a short window before you had to be back on the boat, your best bet is to do it yourself.
