We had a brilliant day on this tour. Our guide, Jason, was excellent - extremely knowledgeable both about the various locations we visited, but also about wider Cretan and Greek culture and history. The visits to both the olive oil company and the winery were superb, but it was the hilly drive through the gorge that really took our breath away. Highly recommend this fun and interesting day out.

Beautiful scenery, interesting olive oil factory, wonderful wine tasting, delicius food and good air conditioned cars. Overall wonderful trip! 5/5 recommended!

A Fabulous Journey with views to delight… Our driver Nikos was great fun and a total expert in negotiating the trails and narrow streets he took us down, up and down and round so many hairpin bends ! Around every corner a new view. The Olive Oil Museum is small but nicely laid out and with samples to taste - we never knew you could get so many products from one little fruit. We particularly loved Afionas Village little flower garlanded streets and quality shops to browse. Gavia Bar & Restaurant provided and very tasty plate of Greek food and a lovely glass of white local wine accompanied by a salad and bread - more than enough to satisfy - And a stunning elevated view of The Adriatic. Then on to our final goal, Logan’s Sunset Beach for a spectacular backdrop to a million selfies… Perfect length in distance and time picked up and delivered back happy … Thoroughly recommend this newly created adventure, make sure you ask for Nikos from Crete (He may tell you this a few times 😀) Ian & Morag xxx

We had the pleasure of having Olga drive us round trip from Chania over to Knossos Palace. A group of 5 from US and Australia. A very capable driver. And also very caring, happy to share her local knowledge with us, her stories, very entertaining. Fun to be with. made the trip even more fun. Would definitely ask for Olga, perfect English. We of course enjoyed the palace, well worth the drive. We used a local guide for the palace and would recommend doing so. Michelle

We had a great tour with Avistidis he was extremely knowledgeable, filled with history and a pleasure to spend the day with. I was having some back issues and he took the time to find me a pharmacy to help me out. I would highly recommend uncharted escapes for any tour you’re thinking of doing in Chania

Our driver Aris was very skilled/safe driver native of Chania, great knowledge of all things Crete. We had a 6-guest jeep with 3 jeeps traveling together tour of White Mtns, villages, Shepherds farm, and lunch. The views were amazing. All was excellent and very glad to be in 6-passenger group in Discovery Land Rover, much more comfortable than the safari model we saw in larger group tour. Lunch was excellent, smaller group (not booked thru cruise ship) was better. We booked thru Shoreexcursions.com, very pleased with price and service.

An excellent experience from pick up to drop off! Louse was a wonderful driver and companion toand from our destination! The winery was pleasant and in a beautifu surroundings.

We had a wonderful time on the mountain and winery tour! We lucked out and got Louise as a driver - she was amazing. Told us many interesting facts and she was so much fun!!! Also she knew the way back while our friends driver made a wrong turn. All was well in the end however we felt lucky to be with Louise. HIGHLY recommend this tour! We were with the Azamara group!

Had a really nice day we had woman driver who was a safe driver and very knowledgeable.I don't think it was good value for money..The restaurant at the end the food is really basic...I wouldn't return on another..

It was a great day with our guide Thanasis who is a real passionate ambassador of Crete. He drove the 4x4 safely off road and we discovered places which we could never have seen with a rental car. We have learned so much about Crete in 1 day … incredible. Great tour in the white mountains. Great authentic food at lunch. Highly recommended!

Jason was our guide and he did a fantastic job. He was an excellent driver and took great care of us, offering to stop and let us take photos and answering any questions we had. He was funny and engaging and we enjoyed the tour much more than we expected to. The views from the mountains were incredible and the shepard’s hut was fascinating. The drive was rough so if you have mobility issues it wouldn’t be for you, but Jason kept us safe and secure. Highly recommended!

Hands down, Uncharted Escapes made our trip to Crete unforgettable. Firstly, our driver and guide Thassalis is just an amazing person. He’s funny, knowledgeable, and so real. You don’t feel like you’re a “customer,” you feel like a friend. Thassalis was an absolute hero, and even drove us to our COVID test we needed to fly home prior to our first outing - the adventure to Knossos Palace. First thing we noticed was the Land Rover is super comfortable and gorgeous. Thassalis picked us up next to our hotel, and was immediately warm and hilarious. We drove to Heraklion, to the palace of Knossos, where Thassalis handed us off to our guide, Manolis. Oh my goodness was Manolis a godsent! An absolute encyclopedia, like a professor. He spent extra time with us because we were so interested the subject matter, at both the ruins and the museum. He really knew how to draw a mental picture and tell a story. Wow! What a tour, what a day. Thassalis drove us back, stopping at a taverna en route. My husband and I drank a bottle of wine, had a great meal, and enjoyed the conversation home. It was an unforgettable day. So we loved Uncharted Escapes so much, we booked it the next day, insisting on again having Thassalis as our guide. He took us to a local winery where my husband and I did a tasting, and Thassalis drove us off-roading through olive trees to see the most spectacular view of our lives, and through some more interesting areas that manufacture amazing olive oil. We then stopped at the oldest olive tree in the world - 3000 years old. It was insane. We then nipped into the taverna (Thassalis was kind enough to agree to our begging to try the food and olive oil) tasted their ancient olive oil, drank the house wine (vines were right above us,) ordered a snack, and had a great chat with the owner. Touring with Thassalis feels like touring with a local friend. He is truly an incredible guy. We love love love him and will request him every time we come back to Crete. I’m sad we didn’t do the Shepherd’s Hut cheese making tour, but we are saving it for next times. We love you Thassalis and Manolis - thank you Uncharted Escapes!
