I recently spent a week in Crete and had Fondas, George, and Costas as my guides. We were so impressed with their knowledge, kindness, and hospitality. They were funny as well and always made us feel safe and that risk management was a top priority. I cannot recommend them high enough. I look forward to future adventures on Crete.

Very beautiful trip. Sometimes a bit challenging for the children (6, 10 and 12 years) but always fun and exciting. The guides were just excellent!

A true highlight of our two week trip to Crete as well as 2 other islands. The concierge at our hotel recommended them. When planning our “adventure “ I told Fondas we were celebrating our 40th anniversary he was genuinely so excited and honored to help us make our day special! And that he did and then some! We booked a private tour and originally we were unsure of what adventure to choose from… Don’t hesitate to email and ask if you don’t see something on the list that calls to you, or perhaps you can’t decide…we were planning to do a hike to Mount Kharfi but a minor injury prevented me from hiking so on the spot Fondas put a wonderful tour together for us which included so many different sites, beautiful views and a short boat trip and tour of Spinalonga. He arranged a special reservation and table at Kanali in Elounda which was beautiful, romantic even at lunch time and absolutely delicious! The fish was so fresh I thought it jumped out of the water onto my plate! We have been lucky to travel to many places in the United States and around the world and have had many guides… Fondas is the most genuine, charismatic guide we have ever had, so full of knowledge of the area and love for the outdoors it’s absolutely contagious. He has a gift for helping you find the right activity/adventure for you. He went above and beyond in every way and truly made our 40th anniversary Magical! We now have amazing memories we treasure always! Thank you Fonda’s!

We went on a three-day ski touring trip with Cretan Adventures and I cannot say enough good things. It was amazing! To start, Cretan Adventures was so accommodating when planning the trip and quick to respond to all our questions. We booked everything pretty last minute, but they helped us make it the trip we wanted. Our guide was phenomenal. From the moment George picked us up at the airport, we could tell it was going to be a great match. While he is one strong athlete, he had no problem taking to our slower pace to include morning sparkle dawning and mid-day dance parties. He was so knowledgeable, and patient and made it so we could just focus on having the time of our lives. He helped us master kick turns, made us mountain tea, and took incredible photos along the way. Even though our trip was only 4 days with Cretan Adventures, they remained so helpful throughout our time in Crete, offering suggestions for places to eat and things to do. All four of us are telling anyone who will listen to book a trip with Cretan Adventures. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip that we will never forget. Thank you, Cretan Adventures!!!!!!!!

We had a fantastic day with Cretan Adventures in September, rock climbing in Agiofarago combined with a short excursion to the beach. We climbed with three guides (we were a group of 6) and there was a great variety of pitches for all skill levels. The guides were fantastic and made the whole experience safe and fun. The time passed way too quickly and this was one of our highlight in Crete.

We have used Cretan Adventures 4 times. It is the Best private cykling trip we have ever tried. Everything is perfect. And excellent service during the trip. We really recommend

We did canyon hike using ropes (rappelling) with Fondas, the manager of Cretan adventure. Fondas is a super professional rappeller and a charming person. Highly recommended!

It is really incredible to think one can ski in the middle of the Mediterranean! And I was amazed by this backcountry ski trip. We climbed the northern slopes of Psiloritis, gained the north-west ridge and then reached the summit. We then skied down near the E4 trail. From the summit, we could see two seas! The Lybian sea, on the south, and the Cretan Sea on the north. Snow conditions were excellent, both uphill and downhill. We were guided by Kostas, a very nice guy, who knows perfectly this mountain and made great decisions about the itineraries of both the ascent and the descent. Although this mountain looks easy, some parts of the itinerary were not trivial, and being with Kostas really helped us to get the most out of this day without incurring in any trouble. We then celebrated the day with some great raki, of course! Memorable.
