Pari is an experienced and passionate guide who offers a very different experience to the Balos tourist boats. After a fairly challenging hike along the peninsula with lovely views of the surrounding landscape, we headed to Balos beach which off season was almost empty and absolutely stunning. I would really recommend Pari generally as a hiking guide but this tour in particular if you're looking for more than the usual Balos tourist traps.

We enjoyed an awesome hiking adventure with Pari in November of 2018 in the Samaria Gorge. As someone who grew up in the Gorge, she shared history, family stories, and local knowledge with us. Two highlights: (1) during our hike, we came across a few shepherds (friends of Pari) looking for their sheep. They had been looking for days. (2) Pari took us to the local taverna for lunch - she ordered us lunch, had a personal relationship with everyone at the restaurant from growing up there. We could not have done this hike without her and we are so grateful for this local experience!
