I am retired and living in Crete and have, in January and February, enjoyed four adventures with F.I.C. In all case the day (or half day) challenges have been outstanding. Three ebike tours and one canoe trip have provided superb sights of beautiful countryside and seascapes all in well managed groups with  excellent equipment. The canoes were all sturdy and stable doubles (sit on) where we explored the west coast with massive cliffs and sea caves to circumnavigate or enter. We carried packed lunches in the waterproof bags provided and some hardy paddlers enjoyed a swim to explore the caves while the rest of the group bathed in the warm rays sat on a remote beach enjoying our sandwiches. Transport was provided from Kisamoss and back and it was a well rehearsed exercise by Manu, Fiona, Miltos and others to load and unload all the kit so we only had to enjoy the drive and then paddle! Ebikes were new for me and while expensive to purchase day hire provided a great and inexpensive way to discover the huge fun involved in learning the new (to me)  art form of managing the balance in deciding how to best employ my energy reserves with the power available in the bikes. "Eco" to cycle very  easily on the flat but with three higher levels of power available. "Turbo" (the highest level) provided huge assistance enabling me to fly up any gradient with absolute ease. To date I have hugely enjoyed three ebike adventures with F.I C. Each was around 40 km all led by Manu in his quietly unhurried and thoughtful style. Most of the routes were mixed dirt tracks and tarmac but with his local knowledge we avoided any serious traffic and enjoyed magnificent scenery including vast seascapes and glorious inland countryside. There were regular aromas of herbs in the countryside and early spring almond blossom together with whisps of wood smoke as we flew past the villages. Birds were beginning to sing as the warmth of early sunshine was evident everywhere. (All senses accentuated by cycling rather than touring by car) The F.I.C bikes I have enjoyed using were excellent. All fully charged as the day started and I was amazed to register that after 40km I only used half (or less) of the battery capacity. (I think I could have used turbo all day?) I cycle regularly on my non ebike but it was a revelation to enjoy the ease of  gaining  altitude with battery power. The bikes all have disc brakes which provide a superb feeling of control (esp. compared to the the rim brakes I am used to using). I did find the saddles to be uncomfortable but by fitting the gel padding, provided as an extra, it made all the difference allowing me to enjoy rather than survive each tour. The helmets provided were easy to adjust and I did not overheat as I have experienced with some ski headware. For UK cyclists a word of warning that surprised me. Greek (and I guess European bikes) employ a system where L and R brakes are fitted the other way round! The right hand brake on my UK bike stops the front wheel but in Crete its connected to the rear wheel! On two of my three tours Manu took us to tavernas that 99% of tourists would never find. In both cases we were provided with feasts of traditional Greek food and hospitality that were exceptional (great quality and prices) If any of these rides (or the paddle) could be bottled they would sell for vast sums to sun starved town or city dwellers from Northern Europe but if you happen to arrive on holiday in west Crete and you have an interest in active adventure I suggest you book a day, or more, with Fit In Crete. Inexpensive considering the good quality kit and local knowedge supporting your adventure(s) I confidently predict it will be a highlight of your holiday and much better than lying on a beach all day! Being that we live in a flat beach town, we have never needed e-bikes but, after our 50 km long e-bike trip with Miltos into the foothills of the White Mountains in northwestern Crete to the Theriso Gorge and beyond, we have become believers in their convenience. Along with one other rider & Miltos, we had a great, looong day climbing up, up, up into the hills, assisted so nicely by the batteries on the bikes (which was also VERY helpful as we went speeding with the wind back downhill at the end of the ride), stopping at 12th century church ruins, public drinking fountains, picking figs & carobs from hillside trees, passing orange & olive groves, pomegranate trees, vineyards, low slung bushes of natural spices, wandering goats & terrific views of valleys & mountains, both near & far. Miltos gave us running commentary on all that we saw & you could feel his love for Crete & all that it gives to him. (He owned a bar for 20 years & gave it up so he could spend more time outdoors, & he sure does!) Reserving, getting & returning the bikes was super easy, Fiona, one of the owners of Fit In Crete, along with her husband, Manu, was welcoming & later, walked us to the local bus stop, giving us precise & much appreciated directions how to return to our hotel in Chania.

The view was absolutely incredible and the scuba and kayaking experience was once in a lifetime. We were guided by Manu and Nora who were so kind and helpful, easily two of the nicest people we’ve met on our holiday. They were very hospitable and we cannot recommend this tour enough. Worth every cent.

We did two tours with Fit in Crete: E-bike of Theriso gorge and kayaking from Paleochora (to Sougia). Both were great. In both cases our guide was Miltos. He is knowledgeable and fun while taking care of us. Since there were just the two of us being April and we are older (I’m 72) he customized the trip. we did a modified trip from Paleochora out and back not quite to Elafonisi. We saw some old Roman ruins, had lunch on a beach, and even did some snorkeling. The Thoriso bike ride was undoubtedly our most enjoyable day in Crete. The bikes were great and view’s gorgeous.

This was honestly one of the best weeks of my life. I was longing for some adventure and to recuperate from a tough year, and this week delivered. Manu took our group to some truly stunning spots in Crete, and I drank in the scenery, enjoyed the swimming so much, and the taverna lunches were sublime. Every day I felt myself unwind a little more, get stronger in the water, and feel excited about the day ahead. I can't recommend them enough and hope to come back one day. Manu and Miltos the guides were so kind, calm, expert, patient, and unobtrusive - the perfect people to show us the beauty of the island.

We had a brilliant time, really loved the sea caves we got to go in! Also the snorkelling was great where the guide came with us and gave us lots of information as we were swimming- we have done similar tours before and this is quite rare!

Thank you so much! This was a wonderful experience! There were three of us. The equipment was in good shape. The guides were very friendly and shared interesting info about the area. The guides took great pics and shared them with us which was a bonus. Bring water, sunscreen, hat, swimsuit. Make sure to use the restroom in town before heading out. Thank you, again! Fiona and Manu took me and 10 friends (ages 14 - adult) on a beautiful hike and swim. The whole group absolutely loved the adventure, their guiding style was so perfect - so many things like this are too full of bravado. The others (who hadnt done much sea swimming before) all achieved more than they thought they would and we all ached nicely the next day. Thank you!

My family had a great time! They did few hours sea kayaks. Their guid was amazingnice funny and knowledgeable.. The trip included visiting wrecked ship, snorkelling and swimming at the open sea.

This trip had no down sides. If you like to swim and hike this is for you. The guides, Manu, Fiona and Miltos were great. The swims were an achievable workout and the feeling of accomplishment was strong.The selection of the restaurants for the late lunch was great. The hikes gave a whole different perspective of Crete. Also ,the on beach location of the hotel, allowed for a very nice place to relax after a good day. Also, there was a promenade of restaurants on the ocean within a 5 minute walk.

We had a great time! We did the 3-hour E-bike tour from Chania. Miltos, our guide, was super knowledgeable about the history, environment, and terrain of the area. He was like an encyclopedia. Our group included multiple 30-somethings and my mom in her early 70s. We all did decently on the bike ride thanks to the help from the e-bike. We highly recommend the tour! It was easy from booking to the end of the tour.

Hike and Kayak in stunning West Crete . Fiona and Manu and Miltos worked so hard to ensure that we enjoyed the unspoilt beautiful Crete . Taking us on fabulous hikes, pointing out the flora and fauna going to really lovely off the beaten track tavernas for late late lunch . Kayaking was good too long day heading to stunning lagoons at Elafonisi and snorkelling in the azure blue clear clear waters . Great trip - exhausted but so happy by the end - culminating in our trek down the mighty Samaria gorge . Thank you Fiona Manu and Miltos and super to meet you Sofia and Giulia . Kayaking around the coast was one of the best excursions I have done, the water is a brilliant blue, the sea calm, and the coastline absolutely gorgeous! We even saw goats, vultures, and other wildlife. Manu is a very kind and considerate guide, and really went the extra mile to make sure we were all comfortable and safe. He even drove me back to Chania so I wouldn’t have to drag all of my luggage on the bus!! If you are looking for guides who genuinely care about the activities, the island, and their guest, this is the place to go! The tour felt more like a true adventure and less like one of those big tour groups, which I loved.
