Stella was a prepared, kind and passionate guide on the journey of discovering Cretan wines. First he took us to the family vineyard, where he explained the types of grapes grown and the cultivation techniques. Then we tasted 5 excellent Cretan wines, accompanied by local cheeses and cured meats. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

In October we had a wine tasting afternoon in Mesarmi. Stella Vasilakis turned out to be a great hostess with a lot of knowledge about wines. As icing on the cake we visited an old venetian winery. We made this video:

Our Bed n Breakfast host, Alex, reserved a wine tasting at Mesarmi tasting Crete. Stella was an excellent guide to the Greek wines we had that evening. Her knowledge of the wines opened a new path that heightened the wine tasting experience. Fabulous!

I’ve been to other “Excellent” rated wine tastings in Crete, but if you want a personalized experience and learn about the different wines of Crete, rather than having to buy “their” brand, I highly recommend Mesarmi tasting Crete. Stella takes you on a Cretan journey of their vineyards with a thorough explanation of where and how they’re cultivated. During your journey, you experience the love and taste of the different wines. Mesarmi tasting Crete can be found on the web and Facebook. Reservations are required.
