We booked a private family tour. On line booking was easy and we were in contact with them the days before to arrange the details . Akrivi, our guide, was excellent. She gave us a very interesting and pleasant tour, including both the historical and mythological aspects . We highly recommend her!

Akrivi was one of the best tour guides I have ever had the pleasure of touring with. She was engaging, smart, funny and conscientious about giving us her history tod bits in the shade. This company was also top notch. Our family of six will do this again in a heartbeat. A little advice: wear sneakers, bring water and book early morning. Enjoy .. the Minoans were incredible!

We booked a private tour with Knossos Guides which was easy to do online. We arrived at the site and were quickly introduced to our guide, Thalia. She is an excellent guide and really brought Knossos alive with her knowledge and insights. We cannot recommend Thalia highly enough. The tour was really worth the extra.

Unless you are happy wandering around ruins without any idea what you are looking at, book a guide. We had a group of only 7. The whisperers were barely needed but nice to have. Also advise buying the ticket through them as it made it all super easy and efficient when we arrived.

Our trip to Knossos was amazing and was made altogether better by our fantastic guide Akrivi . She really brought the site to life with some good ideas about the potential significance of the myths and legends connected with this site and early European civilisation . I would totally recommend making a trip here and booking an official guide .

The tour was a great way to visit the Labyrinth of Knossos. Our tour guide Akrivi was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and had a lovely soft and kind nature. More than just random bits of information, she told an immersive story. A story full of unexpected twists. Our tour guide was great, she was very informative and personable. We came early for the tour and she was as well so we were able to begin early. She answered all of our questions and then some. You need to book a guide when visiting in order to appreciate the site.
