Begin your private, 5-hour driving tour with pickup directly at your Athens or Piraeus accommodation or port, and get ready to discover Athens’ key landmarks. After your pickup between 9-10am, you’ll be ferried all across the city in a comfortable, Wi-Fi enabled car with an English-speaking driver. Vehicles suit groups of between one and four people.
Once you’re on the road, your first destination will be Athens’ most famous landmark: the Acropolis. Once you’ve driven up to its summit, get out of the car and explore the Parthenon, see the ancient Roman and Greek Agoras, and drink in the views overlooking the city.
Next, hop back in the vehicle and drive back into the city. Your next destination is the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, located in front of the city’s Parliament. While here, watch the famous changing of the guard ceremony.
After that, look out for the famous trio of buildings designed by Danish architects Theophil and Christian Hansen: the Academy of Athens, the University of Athens, and the National Library. From there, you’ll be taken to discover the all-marble Panathenaic Stadium, host to the first modern Olympics in 1896.
The tour continues with a dip back to antiquity, in the form of stops at the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Arch of Hadrian. Finally, witness your second changing of the guard ceremony, this one in front of the Presidential Mansion.
Your trip concludes when your driver drops you off at your Athens or Piraeus accommodation or port.
