      What a treat!
Lovely trip to the 3 islands Hydra, Poros and Egina. Tour of Hydra with Katarina was very informative and she made it fun. Our VIP Host on the Cosmos boat Costas was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to pay extra and treat yourself to VIP 🌟🌟

      It’s OK
I love archeological ruins. These were fine but not worth the hour long trip each way. I could have better used the time to see more things in Athens that would be just as interesting, if not more. The tour guide was very difficult to understand as well. I think if you do this trip you should do the sunset one. Or only do this if you have lots of time in Athens. The view of the coast is pretty.

      Below expectations
My wife and I went on the tour to the Temple of Poseidon on 06/20. We waited in the hotel lobby where the driver met us. We were the first to get into the Van. We sat in the first seats where the view allowed us to enjoy the journey. Our guide, whose personal treatment leaves something to be desired, asked us for the places we were occupying as that would already be her usual place. I went to the back of the Van, where the view wasn't the same, but what draws attention is the way she refers to the tourists who are the real reason she's there. Upon returning to the hotel, he left us on the street, before the corner to walk to the hotel. Strange, very polite driver picks us up at the hotel lobby and on the way back we walked back, it wasn't what I expected. I am writing to express my disappointment with the service Friends in Athens have already received my review I strongly do not recomend

      Wonderful tour
This tour with Chat Tours was excellent and one of the best tours we've been on. This was largely due to our guide, Xenia, who was remarkably knowledgeable and who had a great way of explaining things clearly and succinctly. She really brought the ancient history to life for us. The 16 seater tour bus was comfortable and had free WiFi. We covered almost 800 miles as the sites are very spread out, but we had plenty of rest stops at interesting places. The hotels are decent enough and all have swimming pools, although the days are very long and you didn't always have much free time between arriving and going to dinner. For anyone wanting to learn about ancient, classical, roman, and more recent Greek history then this is the perfect tour. The scenery is also spectacular and very varied. You won't be disappointed

      Just don’t go
The worst tourist guide I’ve ever seen in my life. She does not talks looking to people, she does not like people around her( seated near her), she does not bring you back to the hotel( they pick you up inside the hotel drop you of one block away). She is not abble to climb monument stairs to explain like the others guides did at the same place. Just don’t go. Awfull.

Not at all what expected. Just a very very touristy event no real local entertainment. Not at all what expected. Just a v
This is a very very touristy type excursion. We visited the parking lot of the acropolis for 10 minutes then took a bus ride through town to the venue. They did have some dancers in costume for a few minutes, but most of the show is bringing tourists up out of the audience to try to dance, and everybody gets to laugh at them. The venue was 85% empty. The food was OK. It was a pleasant evening, but not what expected

      Amazing Tour
Absolutely amazing tour. The guide Xenia was extremely informative, very well presented and ensured the 4 days ran extremely smoothly. There’s a lot of time on the road but the trip is well structured with breaks and time for photos. The destinations are well worth the miles traveled and Xenia provides good commentary for a range of sights. The bus is very comfortable and comes with free wifi.

      Not to be missed!
Joy was a pleasant and knowledgeable guide. I appreciated her skills at keeping to the schedule so we could make the most of our time at the site. The Delphi is not to be missed. I learned so much more about Greek history, like the ancient ancient Greeks before Zeus, I had no idea. The drive to and fro was fine. Saw some beautiful countryside, away from the city. Drove by Thebes! That was a nice surprise. Had a nice stop on the way up & back. Well worth the money!

      Guides
Excellent guides and marvelous views. Stops were timed just right. Took this tour in April but was starting to get crowded. Top notch. Would go again.

      Big disappointment, twice!
I booked two day tours with this company. Sadly, both were very disappointing due to the guides. One guide hardly said anything knowledgeable that we already didn’t know (example: explained marathons) and clearly didn’t want to be there. Her delivery and anything she said to us just made it seem like she hated the job. We walked up to the acropolis and every few steps she would warn about the slippery steps. So most of the tour was warning about the steps. Another person on the tour said they would not be recommending this company—so it was not just me and my friends who were disappointed. The other guide on the next day tour had a lot more to say and was knowledgeable, but his delivery was so dry and monotonous that it could put me to sleep. Not engaging at all. I found the other tour guides from other companies at the sites and museums more engaging, from what I could overhear from them—crazy sad! I honestly wanted to love these tours because the company came recommended, but as someone eager to learn, they both fell way short. Total waste of money, I wish I could have a refund.

Do not recommend this tour through Viator
Waited around a lot, tour guide was disorganized and we did not see all the stops promised. Tour guide said it was “because the police are around”. Do not recommend this tour through Viator

Add the food, it’s worth it!
Tour was great, very informative. Make sure to eat before as you won’t be eating until 2 but you do get to stop and buy a snack. Also, adding the food option is definitely worth it. The view and food are 👌🏼

      Forever on the bus!
The bus ride is way too long! You spend 3 times more time on the bus than at the site. When you get there the village is very cute and the ruins are interesting but not worth the time it takes to get there. For me it is a big no, don’t go!

Our tour guide Nancy was great and driver Nicolas. The government closed down the Olympia sites, so disappointed we couldn’t go in them. But enjoyed rest of trip.

      Lovely experience
Sofia was amazing! She presented us with all the details, both from the journey and from Delphi and the museum - detail by detail. She is very kind and nice, attentive to details, and knows how to keep your attention on what she is describing. The whole trip was amazing! We also ate well! Kindly recommend!!

Everything on this description was correct except visiting Santorini Volcano on Day 2. This is not included. Chat Tours said the description was the option to book a tour to the volcano. No one could seem to help us with this. Bring a back pack because check out of the hotel is 11am and they pick you up at 2pm so do this so you don’t have to carry your luggage around. The ferry stops at 3 ports before arriving at Santorini so 8 hours is correct. The ride there was pleasant with beautiful sights at the ports of Paros, Naxos, and Ios. This is the only ferry running this time of the year Blue Star Delos. The transfers from the port to hotel was easy with someone waiting for you holding a sign with your name. We stayed at Fileria Suites which was excellent. Elsa the front desk/check in person was fantastic and found us an excellent open restaurant. The restaurant we booked on Open Table turned out to be closed. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and an excellent dinner. That evening I spent time trying to figure out the Santorini Volcano situation communicating with our local agent who provided the hotel and transfers. I wish someone would’ve stepped up and taken care of this. Honestly, the amount we paid should’ve covered the volcano tour. Day 2 - Excellent breakfast brought to our room. We ordered this with Elsa during check in. We walked around Oia and had a great lunch. We were picked up on time back at Fileria Suites and returned to port. This time we found an area to sit with a sofa so we could lay out and be more comfortable. We didn’t know about this leaving Athens. The ferry ride seemed longer heading back to Athens but it was the same time, 8 hours. The weather in Oia was perfect with almost no tourists compared to summer time. Next time we will fly and spend more time to explore. Thanks! Cecilio & Dena - Austin, TX
