        Must do experience of athens
Jordan was very knowledgeable and not only talked about the history of the place but also how it fitted into the overall Greek history. Wonderful experience that brought the place to life!

Great guide, great introduction to Athens and its food culture
Our guide Niki took us at just the right pace. Niki gave us so much good information and showed us interesting family-run businesses. We really enjoyed our tour.

        Recommended!
I had only one full day in Athens, so decided to pay a little extra for a guided tour of the Acropolis. With our guide, Niobe, I got so much more out of the experience than I would have by just walking around on my own. Niobe is very knowledgeable and obviously has a passion for the subject. In fact, the tour -- advertised as 90 minutes -- wound up being closer to 2.5 hours. It was great to not feel rushed! Afterwards, I emailed the company with a question about the Agora (which wasn't even part of my tour) and they quickly got back with an answer.

        Educational and Insightful
Very insightful. The tour guide did a great job at explaining all the history and was passionate about it. My teens enjoyed it. I recommend.

        Great tour; Very educational
This was perfect for the subject matter. Apollon told great stories about the history of Athens and how the Acropolis played a role. I learned so much, it was very fun and informative.

        Info overload
While the tour guide was very knowledgeable, it was a fire hose of information with no break. Travelers need a moment to absorb the information and ask questions. Some of the info bordered on the arcane.

A good day on the Acropolis
The tour was great! The tour guide was very good about telling the history of the Acropolis and also in keeping the group together and moving along. We added the tour of the museum as well which was totally worth it. It allowed us to skip the line for museum entry and the tour guide took us to the highlights of the museum.

        Authentic Greek Experience
The views were stunning, and the tour guides were fantastic. The food was absolutely incredible! Theo was amazing and made us feel like locals by the end of the food tour. I highly recommend it for a truly authentic Greek experience.

Great conversation, helpful and knowledgeable guide
Ioanna was so helpful to us and the dinner conversation was lively. My wife and I arrived having traveled through an extremely sketchy part of Athens (crack pipes, homeless encampments, etc.). When we brought it up to her she affirmed that we wouldn’t be going over there and began talking about the subtleties and nuances of the different neighborhoods and what it was like to live in Athens. When the tour ended she gave us a route via the train station that let us get home safe and sound.

A Story to Go with What You're Seeing
The Acropolis and Acropolis Museum are so much better when you have someone who can tell you the story that relates to what you're seeing. Alexis was fabulous!

Great gazi location - be ready for stairs
Great Gazi location- walkable restaurants, clubs, metro. Close enough to take metro from airport and reasonable walk with rollerbag. Beautiful outdoor deck. Nice kitchen, bath - smaller shower. Be ready for a stairclimb to the apt - a little difficult with recent surgery on one hand and a suitcase. Loft bedroom has narrow staircase also. (Feels like Amsterdam:). Good wifi great since i often found city cellular super slow sometimes.

We were family with 2 small kids under 5, we were held back for entry at the entrance because although kids enter for free they need a special free ticket which the agency never told we needed to book. What’s worse - the guide promised us a full refund and left us alone at the entrance, and when we called for a refund the guy at the call centre just straight up refused. Took our money, offered no service and he was even rude about it. Terrible customer service. Just want your money and zero values. You guys have it coming for you if you don’t change how you treat your customers

        Don’t Miss This Amazing Tour!!!!!
We are so lucky to have booked this wonderful this Golden Hour Acropolis Tour in the Afternoon Light! Let me start by saying that the organization from start to finish was great! We met at Fresko Yogurt Bar to receive our audio headset and get our Acropolis entrance tickets. Our guide Eva was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with a wonderful history of everything we covered in a way that was interesting and engaging. Our group ranged from very young to seniors, including myself and she was extremely patient and kind, making sure to include all of us.

The best part was the guide, Koko. Funny, inteligent, engaging, comunicative, with a lot of stories, anegdotes, references. Was open to questions and even hang out with us after the tour. His whole personality really makes him stand out from other guides as he also shares some of his personal experiences (like Miška his dog on his shoulders for the pic for his business card imitating 'the good sheperd' kuros sculpture). I have a Master degree in fine Arts as I've finished the Art academy and found Koko answers deep, toughtful, with a great understanding of the matter. He would do a great job as teaching art hisrory to students and think that anyone who doesn't engage him or give him an oportunity is a fool. Also he's young and fit, energetic, somebody who truly can bring to life things when he speaks =3

Kimon was our guide and we joined the existing group tour at 11:30am (some of group had already been on other parts of tour) near the Acropolis in an easy-to-find yogurt shop on a pedestrian street. Kimon was very good at explaining logistics and slowly and in most cases in a shady location led us up the hill to the Acropolis - allowed us free time and we met him later at museum for museum tour.
I had visited Acropolis before but it is always inspiring and fun to see. The real star of the show was the new (to me) musuem and Kimon's tour explaining things and how they related to Parthenon, etc. It was excellent.
The only issue - unrelated to tour - took place on the metro. The system is pretty good but you have to watch your pockets really close and watch out for bad guys. We took metro from Pireaus Port and back and on return trip, three thugs tried to block us in by holding the metro car doors shut so we couldn't get out. I shouted expletives loudly in his face - the whole car looked their direction and whoosh the doors opened. I'm not sure what they had planned but it wasn't good and it was a frightening experience that you need to be aware of if riding the metro.

Thank you for your comment and the time you took to write it! We are glad that your meeting point was easy to find and that you enjoyed your tour with Kimon at the Acropolis and the magnificent new Museum! In Athens Walking Tours we work to offer you the best memories from Athens. Athens is one of the safest cities of Europe so we imagine that this mysterious incident at the metro could have happened anywhere. In any case, we hope that your overall stay was great!

The acropolis Walking tour with my guide (Artemis) was a real highlight of my first visit to Athens. Beyond the aesthetic vision I learned many very interesting Details about culture, religion and state Affairs of the ancient Athens State, so that the buildings were filled with life beyond their incomparable monumentality. I had time to have a look at Details, without any hurry, and i liked it very much to explore the Acropolis with Artemis, a guide as learned as enthusiastic.

Our guide ( Aggliky / Angela ) was very knowledgeable, she explained the history of the whole tour without hesitation. She reminded us to get drink of water, as it quite warm and always seemed shade when we stopped to regroup to listen to her.
