A gem in the heart of Athens. A delightful spot, we enjoyed all our wines. The service was fantastic! We loved hearing about the local wines. Such a pretty outdoor sitting area too!

Ths was a fantastic find in the Plaka district of Athens. No seats were available when we stumbled upon this place but the hostess/waitress told us to return in 10 minutes and a seat would be available. We waited on a doorway step next to the wine bar and our host - Sophia - served us at the step. It was a wonderful place to people watch and enjoy Athens. The wine bar, staff, and ambience were all fantastic and I highly recommend a visit. Even purchased a bottle for bringing back to the USA. The staff is very knowledgeable about Greek wines. And we did move over to the "cart" to enjoy our wine. Both the doorstep and cart were magical experiences.

What an amazing little wine bar - the owner is the best ambassador for Greek wine, her knowledge and hospitality outstanding - an outstanding experience and amazing host … 10 out of 10!

If you want to enjoy a glass of greek wine away from usual touristic streets, you want to come here. There is a great selection of wines. We were served very nicely and also ordered a small platter of cheese, salami, olives and breadsticks along with the wine. This is a small and cozy place to really enjoy. A bit pricey though, but worth it.

This place was such a lucky find. The wine is sensational, the owner was so friendly and knowledgable, very passionate about his wine. It’s the perfect spot in a quiet corner of a busy neighborhood. Loved it!

We had a wonderfull wine tasting experience here. Since we are new to Greek wine, the host Sofia introduce use to many different wines and explained detailed about the regions and the different types of grapes. We have been impressed by her passioned explanations and we felt like we have a private introduction to the greek wines. Many thanks to this lovely evening.

A highlight of our visit! We tasted about 10 Greek wines under the guidance of our wonderful host Sofia. She explained how they were made, showed us a map of Greece so we understood the wine regions, and delivered a case back to our hotel for us to take home. All this accompanied by delicious cheeses, cured meats, olives and such. Location is in a charming pedestrian street in Plaka, where we sat at an outdoor table.

As we made our way home following a long day of sightseeing, we stumbled across Finewine - a local wine shop that as well as selling the best wines, also offers wine tasting events. After listening to what type of wines we enjoy, we were recommended a wonderful sweet sparkling wine that my partner and I shared back at our city apartment. The perfect end to a perfect day of sightseeing.

The owners are warm and hospitable. They instantly made me feel as if I was an old friend. Sophia was particularly knowledgeable about the different wine regions of Greece and recommended several different wine for me to taste based on what I liked. They were all good. I even arranged to have a wine tasting with so many wines. I am very happy I stumbled upon this place and will gladly come back whenever I am in Athens.

My friend and I had a wonderful night here at a personal and thoughtful wine tasting that Sofia prepared for us in her cozy shop! It was a highlight of our long weekend in Athens. It was my first time tasting Greek wines and I was impressed. We tried many wines from different regions (red, white, and even bubbly per my friend’s request!). Sofia paired the wine with outstanding Greek cheeses, olives, tomatoes and olive oil!! The whole experience was a very good value for what we received. Just stop by the shop and see what they can arrange for you. We visited in the winter time, stopped by to inquire about a tasting, and they were able to host us later that same evening! Sofia was very knowledgeable and is such a warm and hospitable person. She made the evening so enjoyable, it was like having wine with a friend. We were happy to also meet her husband - they seem to make a great team and have a wonderful business! We hope to visit them again in future.

This place offers an intimate setting and amazing wines with a vast variety of Greek Wines. The owner offered a very personal touch and listened to the desires of our palate. This is a must visit right in the Plaka. ENJOY!

FineWine is a charming small wine shop, specializing in Greek wine, with a selection of many others (even some Canadian ice wine). Sophia will prepare a wonderful tasting with accompanying cheese and snacks for a reasonable price and shares her enthusiasm for Greek wine. I went twice. It’s a great shop!
