We spent 9 days touring Greece with Private Tours Greece, combining Athens with other destinations. The agency was extremely professional, polite and helpful booking our holiday, and best of all, they provided us with a driver called Spyros. Spyros was a gentleman and an excellent driver who made sure we were in all the right places at the right time, whether it was catching a ferry or pre-empting coach tours to avoid the crowds. Spyros was always cheerful, informative and helpful, with plenty of advice on the local stuff, and he went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our holiday, for which we are very grateful! He knows the roads of Greece backwards and knows exactly where to stop for the best photo opportunities. We saw lots, had fantastic local guides (also booked by PTG), stayed in excellent hotels and had a wonderful time! As far as Greece goes, it is an amazing country of welcoming and generous people, excellent food, breath-taking views and mind-blowing history. Unless you are an expert on Ancient Greece, we highly recommend booking the tour guides. They are all local and professional guides who bring each site to life and make sure you leave with a greater understanding of the life and times of long ago. The hotels they chose are beautiful and had a good location. The breakfasts were excellent. The taxi transfers back and forth to ferries and the agency booking the ferries made the trip much easier for me. Convenience was a great factor. The chosen islands of Santorini and Mykonos are beautiful

I just did the 8 day tour with Private tours Greece land/sea and gave my review. I wanted to give a very special thank you to our driver Spiros for a good part of the land tour. Spiros was with us for 2 days as he took us to Delphi/ Arachova ski resort/ Thermopylae and Meteora. I would like to acknowledge Spiros for giving us first class service all around. We were enthralled with all the knowledge and beauty he showed us. He was kind and considerate which made our time with him truly amazing and never to be forgotten! I arranged a tour for my family through Viator. They hooked me up with Private tours Greece. I can not say enough but I will start with, exceeded my expectations! Our tour Operator Patty was a complete professional and kept in close contact during the duration of our trip. We did land and Sea. Starting with Athens for a city tour including Acropolis and museum/ Parthenon. Maria our tour guide was wonderful and informative. The next part was traveling to Delphi which was Incredible, rich in culture and history. Our tour guide Vicky was knowledgeable and captivating. My husband was blown away, this trip to Delphi was on his bucket list since he studied Accident Greek culture for many years. We were all impressed. Thermopylae also was impressive. We were then taken to Meteora where all the Monasteries were. I have to admit, that wasn’t on my list of places I wanted to see but it was part of the tour. Meteora exceeded my expectations in a way I can’t even explain. For one, with breathtaking views! It was so peaceful and the sunset exquisite! Our tour guide Harry was so interesting with history and culture. We learned so much. He was truly amazing. We came back to Athens for the boat ride to Santorini which was just beautiful. We took a separate excursion which showed us what the island had to offer. As a whole we had a wonderful time in Santorini, the only negative is the the ferry could have been more organized. Thank you to all our drivers for being so punctual and friendly. Last but not least we would like to thank Our driver Spiros who was with us for 2 days in Delphi/ Meteora/ Thermopylae/ Arichova ski resort. Spiros was filled with information. He made us feel first class all the way! Spectacular Spiros and that is putting it mildly. This was a trip of a lifetime for us! Patty and the staff couldn’t have done better! I presented them with a challenge and they did an outstanding job! I had a sailboat chartered for one week and was looking to add to it. We would arrive in Athens, sail to/from Lefkas and then needed to return to Athens for our trip home. We were looking to see the standard sights in Athens and then wanted to tour around the country staying in boutique hotels and tour without crowds. They hit it out of the park...amazing trip....amazing hotels....great driver/guide. They also reacted to a canceled flight without missing a beat!

We used Private Tours of Greece to arrange all of our tours, transportation and excursions while on our family vacation. As a group of 7 ranging from age 6-70, planning was made easy thanks to the exceptional assistance and communication. From the moment we arrived at the airport in Athens the services provided were high quality, professional and punctual. I would highly recommend this company to anyone travelling and looking to arrange quality tours and transportation. All the drivers and guides we had over our 12 days in Greece were truly exceptional. They were professional, knowledgeable and provided excellent advice and recommendations. Dimitra, Patty and their team provided exceptional communication and advice throughout the planning process and while we were on the ground. All of our drivers were prepared with water, and even had juice on hand for my father who is diabetic, just in case. I would use this company in a heartbeat the next time I travel in Greece and would recommend it to anyone I know going to Greece as well.

In May 2024, we toured Greece with Private Tours Greece and the experience we had was wonderful. They were professional, easy to work with and fulfilled all their promises. All their representatives were excellent. A special thanks to Dmitra, Effy and Patty who made our tour enjoyable. We had some impromptu requests which they were nice enough to accommodate. My only feedback to them would be, when we pay an advance for a certain type of starred hotel, I would expect the hotel promised or something similar. Had to go back and forth regarding the hotels which was annoying and the excuse I got was the advance was paid late and the hotel was unavailable. I would expect a similar starred hotel and nothing less. The hotel issue was resolved to my satisfaction. To summarize, the tours, guides, flight and ferry tickets were organized well, and everything went off without a hitch but for the initial back and forth regarding our hotels.

The driver and guide provided by Private Tours Greece arrived for pick up early. The driver was dressed in a suit and the guide was professionally dressed. We discussed the order of the trip and we highlighted our goals. Over the course of the nine hours we saw every landmark and site we expected and more. The guide was with us nonstop and answered each and every question posed. The guide understood our goals and highlighted very specific items that were of interest related to Apostle Paul's story from ancient Corinth to Mars Hill. We saw the Tomb of the Unknown, the Olympic Stadium, Aristotle's Lyceum, Corinth Canal, Ancient Corinth, Agora's, Acropolis Museum, Acropolis, Plaka, etc. Between the driver and the guide, our day was full and no time was wasted. One of the best tours we have been on! From content, sites, and guide/driver, a must do activity if you are interested about Biblical History in Athens/Corinth.

Amazing trip in a wonderful location. I felt always looked after by Patty who organised my trip. Hotels were very well located, clean and personnel very nice. Extra tours were absolutely unforgettable and highly recommend doing them. Drivers were always in time waiting for me and even willing to share the love for their county and culture. No words can describe how much I’ve enjoyed this trip. I’ll definitely connect again in the future for other amazing trips.

Absolutely perfect until the last stop. The hotels, the guides, the logistics were stellar. It was a holiday for a lifetime. Last stop was Corfu. It was beautiful. The hotel staff was great. The breakfast was top notch. The room? Beyond awful, a stunning let-down to end a perfectly constructed tour.. What a disappointment after the first class hotels prior to Corfu.. Athens Hotel? very good. Mykonos hotel? Very good. Santorini hotel? very good. Crete hotel? very good. Corfu? The room was only comfortable when only one person was in the room. Two people? One too many without carefully pre-planned choreography. Modesty? Forget that with floor to ceiling "almost opaque" glass doors that insure all bowel activity is on near-perfect display with no available place to avoid the show, sounds, smells. Hotel staff was top notch. Breakfast was fabulous. The room was annoyingly small and aggravatingly, uncomfortably cramped.
