About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 221ianw0 contributions"Lifetime Experience"Unbelievable to actually experience walking in a volcanic crater, steam rising from all around the sides. Before coming on this trip,we never imagined the sheer size of the crater! Few tips,it can be precarious walking down into the crater,so tread carefully and allow yourself time, wouldn't recommend descent for people a bit unsteady on their feet. Make sure you wear "sensible"footwear, not flip flops etc.but "trainers, sport shoe or good soled shoes as the ground beneath your feet can get pretty hot, what, with the sun beating down,as wearing a hat is also recommended to protect against sunstroke! Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, although on the steep mountainous roads,my wife had her heart in her mouth as the coach navigated the snaking narrow road!Written October 14, 2024
- susanhT28RN0 contributionsNot a nice experience.Went on the Kalypso boat trip around Skiathos and over to the mainland. Boat was so full you could hardly find a place to sit down. Loud banging music played all the time and it was simply dreadful. When we got to Lalaria there were numerous other tripper boats all lined up, so the beach was packed like sardines. We didn't even bother to get off the boat. The village on the mainland was lovely. Put us off doing any more boat trips on our holiday.Written October 14, 2024
- jan g0 contributionsGood food and warm wineThe experience and food was good but unfortunately the wine they served was warm. Everyone was complaining and the establishment wanted us to add ice which watered the wine. The winery that provided the wine is very good which we did a wine tasting earlier that day. They would be soooo disappointed that the wine is served warm.Written October 11, 2024
- megansF6649FX0 contributionsTerrible Customer Service and Lackluster Trip.We booked this via Tripadvisor which then went via a company called Viator. I'll start with the positives, athough our overall experience was disapointing the staff were brilliant and the food (although not a BBQ) was nice and the stops we did have were amazing. One of the draws to this perticular boat cruise was the 6 stops and as advertised 'some unique caves and dive from cliffs' we were very disapointed that we did not see any of this, we had only 4 stops to just jump and swim in the open sea which I'm not disputing were amazing but disapointing that the main draw of the trip for us was the chance to go into caves and jump from the cliffs. The food, whilst was good was inconsistent - some people had huge portions with all the seafood whilst ours was half of that and I had no seafood even in mine. We did however have an overall good day but as someone else has commented the boat is rammed so once you've taken your seat you cannot move and get shade and after a full day in blairing heat this can become exhausting. The most overal disapointing part of this was that I contacted Viator to express these concerns and the 'customer care' was quite frankly appauling. After an intial email exchange they stated that 'the weather conditions were favorable and therefore they were unable to offer any sort of compensation' I emailed them back to say if the weather conditions were davourable then why wasnt the full schedule carried out and I got a response within 1 minute of sending my email saying they had taken a second review and that they coud not be of any help. I have emailed them on three seperate occasions and they have still not responded to me. The only reason I emailed to request a partial refund is that we have been on many boat trips of under $50 per person and had the same experience. We paid $200 for 2/3's of the advertised tour.Written October 11, 2024
- sholman650 contributionsFantastic experience!I visited here August 2004. What a great couple of hours it was. My partner and I were on holiday in Koukonaries and already had a wonderful Donkey Sanctuary on our doorstep run by a German lady. We made the decision to visit this beautiful dog rescue centre situated high up in the mountains. On arrival, the two Scottish ladies who own the rescue centre make all volunteer walkers very welcome and assess them as to what size of dogs they would be best suited for walking around the mountain path. We were lucky to have two beautiful dogs named Gary & Chesney. Gary was quite old black Labrador and Chesney looked like a cross whippet. Both were very familiar with the route and showed us the way. Chesney managed to slip his collar off half way round and ran all the way home ahead of us. We donated a large sack of dog biscuits before we left and gave a cash donation too for good measure. Anything you give is greatly appreciated. Well done to the lovely Scottish ladies who run the shelter. You deserve reward for your efforts. Steve Holman & Colin PowellWritten October 9, 2024
- Georgia G0 contributionsParos sunset horse ridingBest afternoon sunset ride with a friendly and funny team! My husband and I set off on our horses with a lovely staff team. The horses were safe, reliable and knew what to do up and down the cliffs. We occasionally galloped and that really enhanced the experience! Thankyou to Stelios, Natalia, and the boss for the hospitable horse rides. Would definitely recommend one afternoon in Paros. The views were breathtaking taking.Written October 9, 2024
- Ana T0 contributionsGreat experience! We ate at bu Sulas in Mykonos! Amazing food the service was so good, the staff was kind and the food wasn’t so pricy. I will go again!Written October 8, 2024
- timrP4429AM0 contributionsBad day trip to BodrumReason for one star was not the fast very that was good, the booking And cost was reasonable and the lady was very helpful although the queue for the ferries and the customs area was organised chaos and that is being very polite!! Upon arrival easy transfer to drop area then in my opinion it went downhill very fast Bodrum port was a nice walk for about an hour but everything else was a tacky market style place replica this and replica that, if you stopped for any drinks/data I found they just charged so much for very little. Shame really as I felt that it was three hours of my life I will never get back and would never recommend this trip to anyoneWritten October 8, 2024
- gingerg5880 contributionsGreat Time in Paros!I want to start by saying that we went during the off season so the boat wasn’t that packed but I can imagine the boat would be tight and uncomfortable if there were too many people on it. With that being said, we truly had an amazing time on this trip. We stopped at 3 different swimming holes with the most beautiful turquoise waters we’ve ever seen. Some of the stops had beaches for us to lounge and play on. The water was very cold but you did eventually get used to it. The crew gave us masks, snorkels, and noodles to use while swimming. We started right at 9:45 and finished right at 4:45. The captain was an expert at avoiding the choppy waves and potentially bad weather. Normally, I get sea sick but that didn’t happen which was great. The boat ride around the islands was actually really relaxing. But honestly what impressed us most about this trip was the FOOD!! We are very picky but the food was so good. They fed us at all 3 stops. The first stop we got an appetizer. The second stop we got a full home cooked 3 course meal (seriously we watched them cook and prep everything on the boat). And the food was REALLY good. So impressed. At the last stop they gave us some yummy fresh fruit. The Greeks really do it right. Great tour and would definitely do it again. A little long but worth it.Written October 8, 2024
- samanthalee19930 contributionsIncredible food, incredible hosts!Maria is seriously the best hostess! The cooking class starts with a demand to drink wine, don an apron, and put on the head scarf they give you. Then you’re immediately put to work chopping, rolling dough, filling pastries, and filleting fish. This is definitely not the kind of “class” where you sit back and watch, you are in the thick of it preparing a beautiful meal with your group! We drank a local liquor, danced, and ate as one big group and it was amazing! Maria also makes sure to include options for those who are vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian! We had an amazing time and hope to return one day with our friends!Written October 8, 2024
- 908abigailo0 contributionsFun day-tripWe had such a fun time on the boat for a day! Great swimming locations and a relaxing environment. The lunch was good as well! A great way to see Antiparos and beautiful views of the Aegean Sea! The boat was a little more crowded than I would have hoped so not a lot of wiggle room.Written October 3, 2024
- vgsanfran0 contributionsThe Worst Experience EverI would give this excursion no stars if that was an option. We booked this excursion through "Get Your Guide" app based on the reviews. I will make this brief; they purposely overbook beyond reasonable capacity, which means some enjoy a nice voyage while lying down in the middle of the boat and never allow others to do the same, so the rest of us have to sit with a steel bar wedged into our backs for over 7 hours. This made for a very uncomfortable and unpleasant journey. The tour description never mentioned that 70+ people would be crammed onto a boat. Had we known this in advance, we wouldn't have booked. We also did the reasonable thing buy trying to work with the boat crew and captain to address and they refused to help in anyway. All we got was shrugged shoulders. There are other operators to explore the surrounding islands. Our advice to all.,,.book a private boat! You'll be way better off! The insensitivity and sheet lack of empathy of the crew and team at MTM is what prompted this review. To pay over $100 per person and be told there isn't enough room for all to have a comfortable experience is beyond unacceptable. Clearly they only care about one thing and that's making money. They could care less if you get no shade and have no where to sit comfortably for 7 hours. Do yourself a favor and book with someone else! Hire a private speed boat and enjoy all the same locations. The amount you pay is not worth the horrible experience and at best, sub par food provided. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! We travel a lot and have booked many excursions and this by far as been the absolute worst!Written September 29, 2024
- Scenic6782250 contributionsBoat day tripExcellent day trip around anti Paris. Food was delicious, plenty of beer and wine equipment to snorkel. Boat was very comfortable and we met some Amazing people on board. Had a great time!Written September 29, 2024
- neilrM4410TA0 contributionsLovely beachesExcellent trip around the island, visiting beaches that are hard to get to by car. Lunch was on the mainland which added to the trip. Much less noisy than the island hopping tour and thus more relaxingWritten September 29, 2024
- neilrM4410TA0 contributionsNot for anyone over 50The islands visited and the stops made were great, but the whole thing was let down by the constant loud music. Seems that the trip was designed as a Club 18-30, whereas the majority of customers were over 50. The captain gave good commentary on the sights but started every commentary with “hello, hello, hello” in an irritating fashionWritten September 29, 2024
