- cecilgmabey0 contributionsDefinitely book this!Definitely worth doing. He showed us lots of things to do or where we could go that we otherwise wouldn't have had the confidence or the time to figure out how to get to. Very funny guide as well that showed us some real local delights, not filled with tourists. Amazing!Written November 23, 2024
- 206jefferyh0 contributionsAmazing Day Trip/Outstanding Guide NikosWhat a perfect experience. Our day trip to the Temple of Poseidon with Nikos was nothing short of magical! From the moment we left Athens, Nikos made the journey so much more than just a road trip to an archaeological site. His deep knowledge and passion for Athens and his enthusiasm for sharing the region’s beauty were absolutely infectious. He showed us stunning viewpoints and breathtaking natural landscapes. What made the experience even more special was the hidden architectural gem Nikos shared with us…a site we never would have discovered on our own. He truly went above and beyond, even taking us to an incredible lunch at a local spot. This wasn’t just a tour…it was an unforgettable adventure led by someone who clearly loves what he does. If you’re looking for a personalized and enriching experience outside of Athens, we can’t recommend Nikos highly enough!Written November 16, 2024
- 264samyag0 contributionsCape Sunio and the Temple of PoseidonMy husband and I selected to tour Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon with Thomas as our guide. The pre-tour communication was just a preview of the excellent service Thomas provided. Thomas made us feel like old friends from the very start of our tour. He took us to see places he grew up visiting and hidden gems we would never have encountered on our own. Thomas is extremely knowledgeable about so many subjects and has such a passion for Greek Mythology. He instantly drew us into his world. We had so many fantastic conversations on the way to the temple and on our return. Thomas waited patiently while my husband and I explored the Temple and the surrounding area. He had provided us a write up to help guide our explorations. We had such a wonderful and informative day and woukd not hesitate to book another tour with Thomas when we return to Athens!Written November 15, 2024
- chachaABQ0 contributionsHigh Expectations- Did not disappoint!First our transportation was delayed and we contacted Spyros and he allowed us to be late to the tour. We got there and had to use the restroom and kindly allowed us more delay. As we began the tour, I was uncertain it would be all we hoped for. Soon enough, we started exploring. Spyros took us through back alleys, into coffee shops, by new and old marketplaces and restaurants, sharing each step of the way little nuggets on culture, history, food, and stories over time how Athens has changed, etc. We had already spent 10 days touring Greece with a specialized guide and yet we still got so much insight. We almost felt local because we went to places we never would have otherwise. It was one of the highlights of our trip! He could have gone for hours if we hadn’t had a cutoff! He is passionate and you sense it as he stops, pauses and leans in to share another nugget.Written November 13, 2024

- Roam110483465000 contributionsLovely!Vasiliki has great energy and it is evident her venders appreciate her. She gave us a wide variety of tastes - olives, honey, nuts, meat & cheese, slouvaki and a deliciously sweet doughnut/ice cream dessert. We had our 9 year old with us and Vasiliki engaged with her tremendously. She was very informational about the city of Athens and gave suggestions for areas to wander for our remaining days. We highly recommend Vasiliki, she was hands down our favorite food tour guide we have ever had (we’ve done several food tours lately in Italy & Portugal).Written November 6, 2024

She was very patient since I asked her to practice Greek but she was helping with English when I did not understand 100%. She was very nice and welcoming. We went to unique local places, tried many new things, had PLENTY of food, and learned about the culture. Highly recommend this tour and if you're lucky enough to have Voula as a guide, YAMAS!Written November 5, 2024
- LouieB30 contributionsTruly Unforgettable ExperienceEverything was exceptional! Michail's talent for creating an unforgettable meal with traditional and amazing Greek dishes was most enjoyable. His attention to our request and preparation of our meal was an experience we will never forget. He prepared a grilled fish dinner while we observed the preparation of each dish was accompanied by interesting details of the ingredients, cooking process and flavors. He shared his love and passion for his craft in every step of his meal. The freshly caught fish and shrimp, yogurt from his mother's farm and honey from his uncle added a feeling of being included in a family holiday meal. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. We shared lots of stories and laughter during our extraordinary visit. Casual but elegant dining experience. An extraordinary experience witnessing Chef Michail in action and then experiencing his creations was the highlight of our evening.Written October 31, 2024

He taught us so much about the history of the acropolis, the gods and goddesses and the origins of each building. He made it interesting for our younger kids too. A super tour!Written October 31, 2024

Yorgos is a great host! He explained the history of Delphi and gave us
plenty of time to explore the area and the museum. We would have
missed some hidden gems if it wasn't for his tips. The town of
Arachova was equally as amazing. A very beautiful mountain town and a
great stop of lunch. Thanks Yorgos for great conversation and a
wonderful last day in Greece!

We selected Nikos to take us (3 sisters from the U.S.) on a day trip to Delphi based on his reviews here. He did a great job, we felt very comfortable, and really enjoyed his enthusiastic knowledge and stories. He went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of, from stopping for coffee and bathroom breaks, to dropping us off at easy access to the sites, for the right amount of time. He then took us to a great local restaurant that was not full of the tour bus crowds which we really appreciated. It was a restaurant in the nearby town of Arachova, family owned for 120 years, and that was really special. We especially appreciated that Nikos was easy to talk to and a great conversationalist with lots of international adventures to share so the conversation was lively both to and from Delphi and during the lunch we shared with him. Thank you, Nikos!

Nicholas took me to Delphi. Along the way, we stopped at LIVADIA, a worthwhile stop in a really cute town. Had a great Trojan horse ( Instagram spot!!!). The museum at Delphi is terrific and it was very hot so the walk up to the ruins was painful as there is no shade. Ruins not in great shape. But Nicholas also then took me for the best ice cream to help me cool down. Nicholas’s was very up on his history of Delphi and mythodology and had very entertaining stories so I got a good understanding before I got to museum- do museum first, then you have a better understanding of the pile of rocks . Youwill see only the Athens Treasury and the amphitheater are in good shape.

Nikos provided one of the highlights of our visit to Greece when he drove us to and from Delphi. You couldn\u2019t choose a better guide for all of the above reasons. A history buff now formalising his passion with study in history and archaeology, his knowledge was remarkable and so valuable as we toured the site and the museum. But his care and personal interest made the experience very special - as did the wonderful stops for coffee, pastries and lunch 😁 Thanks so very much Nikos. We won’t forget our time with you.

Nikos is a very dedicated guide who did everything right to make it a great day for us. His stories are entertaining and informative about the archeology, mythology and history of Delphi and all the notable places between Athens and Delphi. Conversation with Nikos is great and personal. This day trip was something we will always remember.

I can't recommend Ioannis and this tour enough. Truly, it was our best day in Greece. What sets this tour apart is you're not just going to Delphi and getting dropped off. You get to see sites along the way and get a real feel for the country. We hit all of the major sites along the way, but also had a terrific lunch in a little seaside village, went for a swim and a beer at a local spot, and grabbed coffee in a village with a medieval castle.
Ioannis is also extremely knowledgeable about Greek history and is genuinely a pleasure to chat with. If you do one thing outside of Athens, do this.

We just spent the day with Yorgos visiting Delphi. He knows all about the site and it's history. When Yorgos speaks about the oracle and the Gods they come alive. He is a very fun person and gave us the feeling we already knew each other instead of having just met.

Nikolas “Niko” was our guide to Delphi and we had a wonderful time. He was friendly, knowledgeable and interjected his interest by showing us a beautiful monastery. He accommodated our pace and helped personalize the trip by quickly learning our names and asking us individual questions to make sure everyone was engaged. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. Trip was actually in 2019, but wanted to refresh this after a poor travel season in 2020.
