An amazing day at the lake
This was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Athens. Our guide Nathan was fantastic. We enjoyed the tour and insights greatly. The lake was beautiful and very relaxing. We got there early enough to get great seats at the lake and enjoyed food & drinks while swimming and relaxing on our loungers. The lake is full of fish that nibble on you, which was definitely a fun/unique experience for us. The Temple of Poseidon has breathtaking views as does just driving along the coast to the temple. This tour was such a great, easy way to get outside of the center city and relax for a bit. We highly recommend.

You won’t regret booking Crispy Local and Nick!!!
We had the best time with Nick on our Sunset tour of the temple of Poseidon! He was so knowledgeable and having a personal driver with all the local intel made the trip seamless! Communication between the owner, driver, and us was easy. We loved our dinner too, seafood, ocean views, and local dishes were the perfect start for our trip! The gelato was a perfect add on too. Wish we were staying in Athens to book a different tour with Crispy Local!

Temple of Poseidon half day excursion
We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion to the Temple of Poseidon. The pick up at the port was easy. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The drive down the coastline was amazing. We spent about an hour exploring the ruins and taking photos of the beautiful scenery. I would recommend this trip.

Great visit to Corinth and Acrocorinth
Our driver, Nathan, picked us up right on time and drove us to the Corinth Canal, which was amazing to see. Then we went to Ancient Corinth and Acrocorinth. All the ancient relics were fascinating. Nathan was very kind and easy to talk to. He gave us a lot of information about the sites, Athens and Greece in general. Very nice, clean and comfortable car. Great trip and Nathan did an awesome job.

          Top notch
I had a great day. Alexandra was a great dive guide and very patient. Nick took special care of us getting to lunch and the Parthenon with plenty of time to get back to our ship. Excellent service.

Pleasant and accommodating to our family
Very nice experience to Cape Sounion with lovely sights along the way. The temple of Poseidon was impressive to see. Even though our arrival and departure were complex, the driver was very accommodating and pleasant. He gave us options that would best work for our family, and also helped find a delicious seafood restaurant for lunch. I would recommend this experience.

A beautiful road trip and relaxing adventure!
We had a beautiful day visiting Lake Vouliagmeni and the Temple of Poseidon, finishing up with an amazing lunch and lovely parting gift from Giorgos. Giorgos was an outstanding guide with excellent recommendations and interesting information to share about the area. We were traveling as a family with a 10yo child as well as my 76yo mother. All the activities were perfectly suitable for everyone. Highly recommend this excursion as a great way to escape the crowded city and see the beautiful seaside communities outside Athens. Thank you!!

Professional, flexible and enjoyable. Great Tour!
The Cape Sunion experience was exceptional. A historical place of beauty. Nick exceeded our expectations. He was interesting, shared great information about modern and ancient Greece, answered all of our questions and was a safe and attentive driver. You can do the tour with, or without dinner/gelato. The dinner was a great choice and terrific location. Our waterfront meal was at the base of the hill the Temple of Poseidon is on. Nick took us to Lavrio for gelato after the temple closed and helped us locate a wine store. He offered to give us a driving tour of the Piraeus area to make our stay more enjoyable. We declined as it was our first day here and we were tired. I would recommend this tour and using this company for anything that you need.

          Perfection! Book it!
We had such a lovely experience with Crispy Local tours. My son was sick on our original tour date and they helped us reschedule and accommodated our requests with short notice- great communication/ great people! We had Anthony for our tour guide- he was so nice and informative and an overall great person! He brought us to a delicious open space seafood restaurant on the water on our way to Cape Sounion. The name of the restaurant means “Four Brothers” in English (I can’t remember the Greek name)- one of the best meals of our trip with lovely kind owners! Anthony filled us in on the history of the area as we drove then we hopped out to explore Temple of Poseidon at sunset- beautiful! Do not hesitate to book with Crispy Local- you will not be disappointed!

Great experience after a long travel day!
We traveled from Atlanta to Athens with a layover in Amsterdam. After such a long trip we wanted a seamless airport pick up and drive to our hotel. After easily booking on line, Harry (our driver) met us in the Arrivals Hall like we were old friends………. We landed @ 4:25pm, so the drive into the City Center was during Rush Hour. Harry provided excellent information on the city during the drive and provided the perfect warm welcome to Athens. I would HIGHLY recommend this service; you are met on arrival, avoid the taxi lines, learn about the city and can be assured of a professional delivery to your hotel. Thank you Crispy Local!

If you do one tour in Greece, this should be it. Although it takes a bit of time to get to Meteora from Athens the time is well spent with Jon’s narrative on Greece and historical perspective. On the way up we stopped at the site of the battle in Thermopolis (so). Aka The 300. No rush as with a group as it’s a private tour. We visited three of the opened monastic sites and what a sight it is. Plenty of time to visit each. Be mindful there is a bit of uphill climbing involved and steep steps. He took us to a wonderful restaurant with fantastic views and reasonable prices. Drive back is a good time for a nap. Highly recommend investing in this tour. No regrets

Our guide, Ioannis, went above and beyond in every way and we highly recommend him! It was a four hour drive each way and Ioannis anticipated our every need. Chatting with him was enjoyable, just like being with a good friend. He truly listened and helped us personalize our day, making sure we saw what was most important to us. We loved how willing he was to modify "the plan" as the day went along and made everything so easy.
I will always remember this portion of our trip. Meteora was so beautiful and awe inspiring. The moment I stepped out of the car, I was struck with the silent spirituality and beauty of the monasteries high atop the rock formations. I wish I could have spent another day inside the temples. Many beautiful works of art, created centuries ago, are preserved within the walls of these monasteries.

Towards the end of the day, I injured my ankle. The reason I mention this is to show what a remarkable person our guide is and why we recommend him. After the injury, Ioannis stayed with us for hours, taking us to two different medical facilities. He never made me feel badly about the inconvenience and never requested compensation. We loved Greece so much that we plan on returning and having Ioannis be our guide!

My friends and I initially booked a trip to Meteora via train but decided to do a private car instead and it was the right decision! It was a wet and cold day and having the comfort of a car waiting for us at the end of each monastery visit was totally worth the cost. Ioannis, our driver, was great! He picked us up at our hotel with hot croissants and was so friendly, informative, and accommodating. We visited three monasteries and then per his recommendation, had lunch at a fabulous restaurant with gorgeous views. It was a long day but Ioannis made sure our travels were safe and pleasant. We plan to come back to Meteora (hopefully when the weather is better) and will definitely book Ioannis again!

We were greeted promptly at our hotel by Ioannis for the 4 hr drive to Meteora. The SUV transport was roomy and comfortable and Ioannis did a great job highlighting points of interest along the way. We appreciated the flexible of this tour as we opted to drive directly to Meteora due to weather. Once there we were able to see the monasteries we were interested in and enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local Taverna in Kalambaka afterwards. Truly a wonderful day and a ‘must-see’ for anyone traveling to Greece.

Our guide name is Ioannis. He was awesome. Very professional and knowledgeable. He showed and explained to us the best monasteries. He enhanced our experience by telling us about the history of the monasteries and the battle of 300 Spartans. He was very tentative to our needs. Ioannis also took us to Meteoron Panorama restaurant, where it had a incredible panoramic view of Meteora and delicious traditional Greek food. What a way to end a day!

Mr George, our guide is very punctual and waited for my family patiently at the hotel. He drives very safely and checks with us from time to time if we need toilet breaks given the drive is 4 hours. Very knowledgeable and brought us to the strategic spots where we can take all the beautiful pictures.
Family enjoyed the trip to Meteora. Highly recommended to go with Crispylocal.

I cannot recommend this tour more - from beginning to end, we fully enjoyed the day with beautiful scenaries in such relaxing way. Ioannis was so kind, knowledgeable, and professional - giving us interesting explanations about the history throughout the roadtrip. We were picked up promptly at the hotel and avoided traffic and crowd (which made a big difference!) and visited a few monasteries that were open, all absolutely stunning and mindblowing. The visit options were entirely catered to our preferences. Ioannis also helped us stop at some scenic photo spots on the way, and the recommended lunch spot was AMAZING. Overall, the service and kindness on this tour was top class. Glad we took this option over a train ride! Thank you Ioannis for the wonderful day!!

Our day trip to Meteora to visit the monasteries was wonderful. We were picked up at our hotel by our guide Anthony. He was professional and friendly and his knowledge of Greek history was exemplary. Our first break on our journey was at the battle of Thermopylae where the Spartan King Leonidus and 300 Spartans held off an advancing Persian army for 3 days. After taking a few photos we were back on the road to continue on to Meteora. Anthony was great, stopping at different spots on the road up to Meteora so we could take photos before visiting two monastries. We were fortunate enough to spend an hour at each. Both were absolutely beautiful and the views from each takes your breath away. A few more stops on the way down to take more photos then lunch at a great Greek restaurant in Kalabaka before heading back to Athens. This is an absolute must do if you are visiting Greece. Highly recommend and if you’re as lucky as we were you might get Anthony as your guide for the day 😊

We had an excellent day trip with Ioannis as our driver. We were picked up promptly at our Athens hotel for the journey to Meteora. The vehicle was spotless and very comfortable for the long drive. Ioannis shared many facts and history throughout the trip and was happy to answer all of our questions as well as to provide many helpful recommendations for the rest of our trip. After seeing the stunning sights in Meteora on an extremely hot day, we were refreshed with an amazing lunch stop nearby which has been one of the highlights of our trip. All in all, we had a perfect day thanks to Ioannis. We would highly recommend this as a great way to see the sights of Meteora on your own timeline without being stuck on a larger tour bus or group tour. It was so well worth it to us to have privacy and flexibility to our day. Thank you, Ioannis!

When I saw the images of the monasteries build on the tops of high, small rocks, I wanted to see them with my own eyes…

Our private driver and guide Giannis welcomed us at the start of our trip with some nice Greek ‘croissants’.

He was a very kind and attentive man, and he told us many great stories about the Greek culture, mythology and the history of the monasteries.

In between we made a stop at an historical battlefield where Leonidas and 300 Spartanians killed over 1 million Persians, on which the movie ‘300’ is based.

It gave a special feeling to actually stand in the battlefield and see the mountains where this historic battle took place.

The views of the rocks and monasteries were truly impressive and hard to believe how they could even achieve it!!

Amazing willpower, endurance and surely driven by a ‘devine’ force made it happen.

Giannis told amazing stories how they achieved it, it’s incredible.

Afterwards we had a great lunch at the best table of one of the best restaurants in the region with great local lamb.

On the way back we could do a nice nap because our condition certainly was not as good as that of the monks who created these masterpieces.

Returning in Athens, Giannis surprised us with some very attentive gifts which we appreciate a lot!!

Great private tour that saved us a lot of time and gave us the possibility to see some true unique masterpieces of nature and mankind!!

        Efcharisto Giannis!

We wish you all the best!!
