Panos delivered an incredible tour weaving the mythology history with that of the ruins around the area and the transition to philosophy and democracy through the centuries. He brought us to a couple of areas we never would have found and had great stories and anecdotes that brought the history and knowledge to life. Over the tour and was just what we needed to bring to life the history all around us in Athens.

We were pleased to locate this offering: such a unique perspective to the history of Athens. The tour provided background and substance to the names and locales we had already been encountering. Walking with Panos was like being escorted on a private excursion by a university professor with a passion for the topic. His narrative was enlightening, eye opening and clearly geared to give us a greater appreciation for the accomplishments of these ancient game-changers.

Panos was a great tour guide. He was on time for both tours and knowledgeable about Greek military history. He also helped us to customize our two tours. One tour related to the Poseidon Temple and sights along the coast and the other one to museums in Athens on technology, a model trireme and visit onboard a Greek battleship from the 20th century. I highly recommend him.

This was a fantastic, thought provoking tour of the city! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's the tour I appreciated the most during my time in Greece. Instead of being talked at about facts, Panos talked with me the entire time, giving me a history lesson on mythology and democracy while engaging in philosophical discussions. I learned more from this tour than any other tour I took during my 19 days in Greece. And I got my Pythagorean cup, Panos - thank you for that! Highly recommended walk through time - it's definitely a tour worth taking!

Panos was so knowledgeable about Athens and its ancient history and provided some unique insights that we hadn’t heard on any other tours (I will keep those a secret :) ). We had a philosophy discussion at the end, which I particularly enjoyed. This walking tour hit interesting places that were not as crowded as some other sites. It was also nice to be able to ask all of our questions. Panos was very responsive before and even after the tour, sending us his presentation that my husband will use for his high school history students. Highly recommend!

We spent a wonderful afternoon with Panos. My teenagers enjoyed it tremendously and all of us learned a lot! I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Athens.

Absolutely incredible experience. Panos took us on a phenomenal tour with such amazing expertise and storytelling. We learned about the underlying stories behind all of Ancient Greece, most of which we didn’t know before, from history to rituals to democracy to what sparked philosophical theory to how we see these impacts today etc. . Extremely memorable tour with a cool ending with a beautiful view talking about the implications of all the philosophy from the ancient times today. It inspired us and gave us so much to think about. Panos was amazing, can’t recommend enough!

Panos was amazing , we discussed interesting philosophical theories and the genesis of philosophy in Greece. I was blown away by his depth of knowledge and new information about the scientific proofs of ancient ideas. You can’t go wrong with this beautiful walk and intellectual exploration!

Absolutely amazing tour! He was really kind and truly knew a lot about history, mythology, science, and culture. We can tell he does this because he loves it, and he took us to wonderful places and told great stories with grace and humor. We went with a non-fluent English speaker and he was very patient, making sure they could understand everything. He also took us to a beautiful place to watch the sunset! Absolutely recommend!!

I really really can recommend this tour. You will see almost every part of the famous buildings and you get a super overview from Athen especially through history.
